It's a coffee place not a tea place, so the Chief of Staff should have known better. Tea bag in a tea cup without the pot. Don't bring a knife to a gunfight, don't order tea in a coffee place. That we have been staring at them and standing around... The employees fixed everything. The reason for only 4 stars is because we were there for 1 hour from start to finish, and ONLY right before we left, did they start cleaning any of the tables or counter. They only cleaned our table because we asked. There was a massive pile of dirty dishes on the back counter, and only then did they start cleaning them up. I neglected to take pics of the pile of dirty dishes. To be fair, all the employees were busy the entire time, they weren't being lazy, they always had something to do. BUT cleaning tables and dishes need to be a priority especially during the busy hours. I urge and hope the owner please get a designated dishwasher and table cleaner especially during the busy hours. No one wants to sit at a dirty table with food scraps and sauce smears after someone has left. And also, please be more observant to confused customers who are standing around not sure what to do. A simple, "can I help you" would have really helped, and not made us feel ignored when we were confused. Also, a sign would help, like, "seat yourselves and order at the counter". Because the employees are also wait staff, and deliver food to the tables. It was just so confusing. Hope this helps. But otherwise, the employees were quite lovely when they did pay attention to you, and food is always good. Just be prepared to wait awhile for food.

There so many positives about this place, let me start by saying it's great. They make a good espresso and serve it in a proper ceramic espresso cup and saucer. That's really important to both me and the character played by Sylvester Stallone in "Tulsa." The espresso is less than half the price than Starbucks, and it's better. They have an excellent biscuits and gravy that they serve until early afternoon. They serve "Italian soda" and since they have NO diet drinks I had to have the diabetes inducing watermelon flavor. Get a large, and if you ask them to hold the nonrecyclable plastic straw, they will. They make a delicious cherry tart, and of course they have delicious chocolates. Staff is competent, sincerely friendly, not the fake kind of friendly that seems de riguer at coffee chocolate shops. This leaves me with just one question, why won't YELP allow me to use italics?
