A while back I made a very early morning drive up to 3 Sweets Bakery & Cafe because I saw a picture on social media of key lime bread and a couple breakfast burritos on their menu. In addition to the key lime bread, I got the Farmer's Favorite Burrito and a chai tea latte scone. I don't recall the key lime bread having a ton of key lime flavor, but it was still good. I was more impressed with the chai tea latte scone and wished I had purchased more than one. The burrito was ok. I liked the bacon pepper jam but had a hard time finding much pulled pork in it. The restaurant is a cute little place. They have a drive-thru window for easy ordering if you can't or don't want to come inside and there's a few tables to sit at inside. I thought they had a nice selection of baked good for sale and even offered gluten friendly items if that's something you need. read more

One of my employees gifted me a variety of treats from 3 Sweets and they. Are. Amazing! The first item is some sort of banana bread, mixed with coffee cake. I don't know what it was exactly besides fantastic! I put it in the microwave for 25 seconds and it totally made my entire morning. There was also a four pack of cinnamon rolls that I was going to wait until the next morning to try but they looked so good that I couldn't wait that long and decided to have one for dessert with dinner and it was the best cinnamon roll I've had not from Cinnabon! There is also an Oreo cheesecake that I haven't gotten to yet, will try and wait a day or two before tucking into it, but I am sure it will be just as awesome as the first two things I tried! read more

I drove up from Florida, in a snowstorm, to have breakfast at 3 Sweets Bakery. It was worth the trip, excellent food, service and a cozy atmosphere. I had the Farmers Favorite Burrito, it was delicious and fresh. Colectivo coffee is one of my favorites and they have it here. I absolutely love this cafe. We came here while camping at kettle moraine. It's conveniently close. I ordered the baked oatmeal and omg i was obsessed. It was absolutely delicious. Baked with apples and banana and I ordered it with pecans and their house made berry compote and the beat part is the steamed milk! I literally came back before leaving just for the oatmeal! My bf ordered a breakfast english egg sausage muffin and they generously give you two! It was super crispy and buttery delicious egg sandwiches. Their coffee is so good and strong and they have a very long list of syrups for your coffee that i love. Too bad this cafe isn't so close to home because I'd go here everyday. I was a little disappointed they ran out of their almond croissants. Unfortunately they didn't restock so next time i hope i can try it out. They have an excellent baked goods section. read more

I love love this new(ish) coffee shop in Dundee!! My parents live up that way and it's been so great having a new go-to spot for delicious food and well-made coffee drinks. The twisted tzatziki sandwich on naan bread is huge and very flavorful. The staff is local and kind and patient even when busy. The cinnamon rolls!!! This is what they're known for and for good reason - the perfect amount of sweet and gooey and the dough is so tasty. Cute farm chic interior and lots of local goods for sale. Cute little cafe located in Dundee. Although I'm not a fan of the coffee bean they use (Colectivo) I can let it slide as the food and the staff are on point. Not to be missed-their Apple fritters they serve on Tuesdays. Made in house, they are incredible. Pick up some swag. Grab a bite. Get a drink. This place is solid. Stopped in while staying at an Airbnb nearby for coffee/breakfast, and wow were we not disappointed. The biscuits and gravy were the best I've had in awhile, and that says a lot since I only get biscuits and gravy for breakfast lol. We really enjoyed this breakfast and lunch spot after visiting a cabin for the weekend. The service was great (you order at the counter). We enjoyed the homemade cinnamon rolls, chorizo burrito and breakfast sandwich. They have a wide selection of drinks including coffee and smoothies. We read the reviews, and looked at the menu prior to going to the cafe. It was our son's 30 birthday, and thought this would be a great time to try a new restaurant. Items looked creative, and full of different flavor combinations. I ordered a cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing...an all-time favorite. What I got could easily have been a Pillsbury cinnamon roll from a can. The roll was about 3/4" high, and maybe 2 1/2" across. The frosting was good, but the roll was very doughy...almost tasted raw. It was served on a small plate about the size of a coffee saucer, with plenty of room around the roll for plate. Not at all a restaurant-quality baked good. I took a picture, but not tech-savy enought to post. The birthday boy got a Farmers Favorite Burrito. It was served on a plate with a small watermelon wedge for garnish. Not a spec of eye appeal. It seemed to be made panini-style using a wrap, and he thought the egg might have been microwaved. Very dry (mostly wrap) except for the small bit a jelly served on the side. Again, not really restaurant-quality. Our other son had "The Declan" which was 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips and white toast. Nothing on the plate to add some color or again eye appeal. The bacon was REALLY cooked. Turned to bacon shards when bitten. Some might like their bacon like that, but again seemed to be prepared via microwave. My wife had biscuits & gravy. The flavors here were good. Gravy was plenty peppery and biscuits just OK. It was served in a bowl with nothing else. It was grey on grey...you eat with your eyes, and this tasted better than it looked. Both coffee products were very good, and the ambiance very nice. Bright and cheery with lots of light. There was also plenty of outdoor seating available. They were working on the parking lot with machinery, so we just parked on Hwy 67 and crossed the street. When done, there will be ample parking for the cafe. One last thing. Our son ordered orange juice, and was served Sunny D. He doesn't dislike Sunny D, but that might be mentioned when ordered. You order at a counter, and pay for your items before sitting down. We got our food fairly quick, but needed to flag down a server to get a to-go box. Total cost with tip was a little over $50.00. I worked with food and beverage my entire career. I owned a restaurant and a restaurant management company. I also worked as a Food & Beverage Director for Westin, Marriott, Doubletree and Marcus Corporation in locations around the country. I really never write a bad review for a restaurant. In this case I think the location provides a great opportunity to add something special to the area. I hope this is taken in the spirit it was written. You don't know what you don't know. read more

My mom and I stopped in and I had the Twisted Chicken with naan..it was SO tasty! I could taste every ingredient, and it was very fresh! My mom had the Declan, which is a breakfast dish and they serve breakfast all day..she loved it! I also had the strawberry banana smoothie, that was also great! The atmosphere was friendly and had young and old patrons and everyone there was happy and smiling and seemed comfortable. We had great service from everyone, the owner Laura is a sweetheart! Don't know if I'll ever go back here. Worst coffee I've ever had in a restaurant bitter better. The pancakes what are the size of a piece of bread and you only got two, had to go up and ask for syrup for my pancakes they gave you a thimble full of syrup.
