East Coast Detailing was hired to clean and wax my boat for Five Hundred dollars. I came home…read moremidday for lunch to find one of his crew sleeping in my boat when they were supposed to be cleaning and waxing it. I called Mike and let him know one of his crew was sleeping on my boat. No apology. A few days later I went to use the boat and noticed that it would not start. I checked the helm and noticed there were several switches in the on position including the bilge. The starboard and house batteries are bridged and were both dead from the bilge running constantly for days. I called my mechanic and he tested the batteries and they were deemed bad and could not be recharged. Ok, I ordered new batteries at a cost of $299.98 plus tax and installation. I told Mike that the switches were left on and I had to order new batteries. He said they would take care of anything that they did wrong. The invoice was $500 so I text him him and say I had to buy new batteries because your crew left the switches on so let's just call it even...even though my cost was about $200 more than his clean and wax. No dice, he said I pay him or he will put a lien on the boat. A lien..are you kidding. So, I paid him the $500 and now I write this review. Beware.

My experience with Angel, the owner, was a complete nightmare…read more After dropping off my boat for service, I was promised updates on costs, but communication quickly fell off. I went two weeks without any word, and when I finally heard from him four weeks later, it was an excuse about back surgery, something which he could of let me know in advanced but instead choose to ghost me. By week six, the bill was an outrageous $5,500 with no prior estimate. I paid it, hoping the repairs were done, but upon testing the boat, the motors wouldn't start. After bringing it back, I faced overheating issues and was promised a follow-up trip to ensure everything was fixed. Despite this, Angel had the audacity to send me another invoice for accompanying me to the marina. After I had gone 3x to test the boat after his "service". The prices he charged were ridiculous, and every other shop I've consulted agrees. This was my first boat, and unfortunately, I learned the hard way. I hope my experience saves someone else from making the same mistake.

My battery drained and the compartment flooded so no power was going to my bilge pump. I called Ernesto and he came out within 30 minutes.
