I stopped by to get my typhoid vaccine. On the app it showed that for Sept 25th, the lab was open starting at 8am on Monday. The app did not list any limited restrictions. The app listed a restriction for September 19th only. I arrived promptly at 8am. I was greeted by a nice person at the front desk. She unfortunately told me that I could not get my vaccine at this time. She stated that it was because there was no physician in the office and that their lab is limited to just blood work and the basic flu shot. She proceeded to tell me that a doctor will be in at 0830 if I wanted to wait or come back. I decided to come back at 0830 and run a few errands in downtown Burlingame/ wait in the car. I came back at 0830 and a provider was in house. I checked in and was able to get my shot. It took about 10 minutes from checking in to getting the shot to leaving the facility. The same person in reception helped me and she was very nice about it. I just wished the times and restrictions were more up to date. read more

The staff are nice as well as the facilities. So 4/5 there. However Ive had the worst experience with Naomi. Ive had my medical issue for nearly two months and she was the most useless to help it. GOOGLE was more helpful than she EVER was. It at least explained the medication I was prescribed and common side effects that I was experiencing hell with and the woman said "just stop taking it, you'll be fine." Cool. So I did. Turns out this particular medication is not supposed to be stopped cold turkey and my symptoms WORSENED. She was reckless in her medical advice and I won't recommend her to anyone who's in need of a provider. She also didn't keep tract of any of the medications I was taking. I went in after a visit to urgent care and told her what they prescribed me. The week later when I asked about side effects to those medications she had no idea I was taking them. Like I just told you the week prior! I'm not sure how she got her credentials to be in charge of people's health but she shouldn't be. From the counter to the lab area and till you meet the Physician, everything is a pleasant experience. Dr. Maricar is my most favorite doctor. She has a fantastic personality with a very concerned look for her patients. Things are getting a little different because during a pandemic, but we are all trying our best to follow the rules as regulations, but sometimes I do miss personal touch but hoping for the best in the future. One medical website is fantastic, and half of the things can be taken care of through the website. One thing since we are all going through a tough time right now is they increased the membership fee. I tried three different locations, New York, Orange County, and Burlingame city, and I am very with the Burlingame office. The other thing since we are all paying membership, I wish they provide all kinds of the vaccine or boosters to their members and help them to avoid going crowded areas. read more

UPDATE TO 3 STARS: Shortly after the posting of this review while I was in the medical office, Brendan, the One Medical business manager at this branch, came out to greet us to which I really appreciate him and his attention to the issues that I stated in my review. He was wonderful and while I appreciate him, I stressed that the 'business processes' of the front office need to be improved upon. No reflection on him personally, but rather strictly business only. Thank you, Brendan, for addressing the matter face to face and providing us with reassurance that One Medical will continue to monitor and improve upon the suggestions provided. ONE STAR INITIALLY GIVEN: This place is a sorry excuse for a medical office. Beautiful and modern office space BUT poorly managed front office just sitting at their PCs just clicking away following protocols versus actually addressing a patient's frustration or issue head on. Doctors are only fair and rush you in and out. Turnover of staff and doctors is indicative of how this place operates. Go to a real Healthcare provider such as Sutter, Dignity, or Kaiser. One Medical is like the "Jack In The Box" of providers and their premium is not worth the coverage. Unfrickin believable. We will be canceling our coverage thankfully at the beginning of 2023 with new insurance coverage. Save yourself the headaches and read the other reviews. More negatives than positives at this place. FOR THE RECORD: This review is NOT a one-time occurrence that triggered the comments, but rather comes at 5 in-person appointments and covert observations of everything from the processes to the front office staff behavior as well as comments made by other waiting patients. Made an appointment at the Burlingame office to get my 2nd hepatitis booster. The office even contacted me to confirm my appointment. I arrive at the office and they tell me they don't have the vaccine available! They tell me to go down to Redwood City to get my shoot. Why did they make me confirm the appointment in Burlingame to begin with! Pretty ridiculous, bad organization and management. I have been a member since 2009 when they were called Metropolitan Medical Group. Back then it felt exclusive, a boutique medical practice where you could get same day appointments. Now appointments are much more difficult and the level of service it not that much better than a regular doctors office. Not worth the annual fee if you are generally heathy. read more

When a 46 year old human being goes to the doctor for an annual physical they probably expect something more than a blood pressure cuff and a light in their eyes followed by an abrupt "all clear" dismissal. Unfortunately, the only thing One Medical provides beyond that when you schedule a physical with them is a series of online questionnaires consisting of nothing more than irrelevant armchair psychoanalysis better suited for a chia seed slurping influencer's Instagram post than a medical office. That's "holistic," right? The locations in the city are at least highly efficient at what little it is they do, but here in Burlingame they're basically just sitting on their asses looking posh and generating referrals to UCSF. Now that just about every doctor in the country lets you schedule appointments online there is absolutely no benefit to maintaining a One Medical membership. read more

My employer has a tie up with One Medical. I visited Dr Maricar for a checkup. She was patient with her exam but unfortunately, all she did was to suggest to monitor my symptoms by downloading a generic wellness phone app. This was the one of the worst diagnosis I have received from any doctor. Next day, I made an appointment outside One Medical with someone who could provide more helpful medical advice. On top of this, I received $$$ bill from One Medical. When I called their billing department to check on the bill, they thought I was calling to negotiate and they automatically reduced it in half. I complained to my employer who had to follow up with One Medical to sort out the coverage. Such a hassle, avoid and go to a real clinic and a real doctor. read more

I recently had a physical with Dr. Susan Runyan, who made me feel comfortable from the moment she grabbed me from the lobby! I get very nervous at doctor appointments - and she took such good care of me with compassion. Abby, the phlebotomist, made getting labs a breeze! I barely felt a thing! She messaged me on a Saturday to let me know my labs looked good (I was concerned about them), and scheduled a Zoom follow up appointment to review them and put my mind at ease. I needed a referral to a specialist, and she connected me with a wonderful one in my area. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Runyan - she explained everything clearly, was genuinely interested in my well-being, and calmed my nerves. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm looking forward to my next appointment! read more

So this thing happened where the end result was basically my face being partially impaled by a chair. I knew it was a lot of blood and I knew it hurt real bad, but I didn't have the true medical know-how to see how bad it actually was until the first thing a real doctor did was suggest I see a plastic surgeon. A plastic surgeon? Who do I look like? Liberace? I'm not a super model. I know this. I've got adult acne, basically borderline snaggle tooth from never wearing my retainer, and there's just never going to be a beauty contest win in my future outside of a Monopoly game. I don't have the kind of paper that I know would be associated with a plastic surgeon, so hows 'bout we just put some glue on it, pump me with that tetanus shot, and call it a day? A scar is fine. Builds character. Whatevers cheapest will be my answer to all your questions from here on out, Doc. And the greatest thing was, the doctor respected my wishes and went with what I said. There was no up-sell. She didn't need a big, boring back-story. She didn't make me feel bad about waiting a couple days till the bleeding stopped to come in. She didn't lecture me about not having been to the doctor in closer to a decade. She just got right down to business with cleaning my wound (that my friend and I lovingly named face-vagina) and glueing my face back on. And it didn't even take that long... surprisingly. The ease of scheduling an appointment and not having to wait at all to see a doctor is TOTALLY worth the $150 a year membership. Hell, I thought it was worth the $150 for allowing me to schedule online without ever having to speak to an actual human... which was especially great in this case since I can't really open my mouth right now. I signed up for One Medical at 11pm last night and snagged an appointment with a Dr at 10am the next morning. When I got there, I handed over my insurance card and took a seat. I'd already filled out all of my 'paperwork' online so I didn't even have to pick up a pen. I definitely read all the reviews before joining and took special note of the one that called One Medical doctors "glorified social workers who moonlight as drug dealers" because that's actually exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want to be touched and I definitely don't want to be prodded -- I just want to tell you my issue in brevity and also suggest a treatment for myself and then be out in under 30-minutes. Bada bing, bada boom. This isn't an emergency room, but they do operate on a pretty steadfast schedule and by the time I decided I was willing to pony up the $150 yearly membership fee more than a day had passed and I figured I was out of the emergency realm since the bleeding had pretty much stopped at that point. And it was nice of the girl at the front desk to explain the whole 'deductible' shenanigans to me since I'm new to healthcare and didn't realize that having insurance when you never go to the doctor basically does nothing for you. I still don't know if I chose the smartest way to do the billing, but I do know that now that I've likely reached my deductible I'm going to be at the doctor every damn day for every little reason until I personally run Blue Cross's coverage into the ground. That's totally how that works, right? Anyway, I like the vibe of One Medical. I like that they can wear normal clothes and that it felt a little like I was getting my tetanus shot from a well-dressed guy I met at a bar who also happened to be carrying Spiderman band-aids and have a bowl of Jolly Rancher hard candies (the good tropical kind, not that played out original sh*t) on hand should I suddenly find myself not in pain and able to open my mouth for solid foods again. I like the ease of scheduling, communicating, and no wait times and I especially like that when there was still some time left after glueing my face back on, the Dr let me have the rest of our face time to score a pretty sweet acne prescription. A cool facial scar and a bonus acne topical ointment?! Hot damn, It's my lucky day! read more

One Medical is great! I like this location because you can easily kill time before or after your appointment as there are plenty of shops and cafes nearby. Parking is not free so be sure to either bring cash (quarters) or park in one of the lots around the shops. One Medical staff is always so kind and informative. The appointments start on time and the waiting areas are always clean and well stocked with water, magazines, and seats. read more

Be prepared to bounce between provider after provider. One Medical drs tend to move around, and you may not be able to establish consistency in your care. I've had 4 providers in 4 years ... not to count the dozen other providers I've had to see at One Med when I have a time-sensitive need to see my doctor within 2-3 days ... forget it. You're not going to get in to see him/her. You'll get another nurse or doctor who's going to start from scratch. I'm sick and tired (literally) of the One Medical machine. They have a business model that does not benefit patients unless you need very little care. read more

In concept, One Medical sounds really good but in reality it does not work the way it is advertised at all. They fail to accomplish things in an efficient manner and make a lot of negligent mistakes which they will turn around and try to blame everyone else for. People make errors. That's life. More so now during covid pandemic. However, if you aren't principled enough as an individual or as a company to take responsibility for those mistakes...well you are just going to keep making them. The office manager is a sensitive Sally that acts so concerned and then his claws and true colors came out. He damaged my mental health and I walked away from this BS business operation. There would be no way that I would ever be treated fairly as a patient nor will I be able to find a physician without knowledge of documented misdiagnosis's in my medical record to black ball me at other physicians. Just don't pay the fee! If you need to, use urgent care. Doctors don't stick around nor do they care. They are there to charge 1K visits for no treatment and stuck with unresolved medical issues. Same day appointments are a thing of the past at this operation and if they are, you will get a recent graduate that is learning the ropes as a NP. I think I might get better care from a veterinarian than at One Medical. read more

No more... We've used OM for years, paying their premium and on two occasions when we needed their attention and medical expertise, they have miserably failed us. First time was a year ago, when my wife was 3 months pregnant and experienced bleeding related to her pregnancy. Upon calling OM office specializing in pregnancies, she was instructed to come in, which she did. After two hours sitting there, she still did not see anyone, but talked on the phone to a nurse, who told her that there is nothing that they can do and everyone left already. (The baby was born healthy, thanks to my wife's OB) Strike two happened yesterday when my wife felt dizzy, disoriented, had a migraine and pain in her eye. She was not offered to see a doctor, but a nurse for 15 minutes. Isn't the advantage of OM that you can see any doctor at any office? The NP offered migraine medication, but aren't medical specialists suppose to get to the bottom of it and find the reason? Nothing like that happened. We ended up going to the emergency for a doctor to examine my wife and do all the necessary tests - something that OM should have done. Bottom line - if you need a doctor for annual exams and nothing serious, get quick prescriptions and willing to pay an annual fee, OM might work for you; otherwise, look elsewhere. I was not impressed. One Medical is touted as some kind of premium medical group and charges an annual fee to be a member. My employer pays the fee for us, so I tried them out a few times. I was disappointed both times. I was unable to see the same doctor both times as it almost seems like they have a crew of rotating temps or new docs. On both occasions, the doctors did not appear to be familiar with the office. They both had to ask other staff where to find examination tools. The level and quality of service was about on par with an urgent care clinic and there was nothing premium about the experience. I've since gone back to PAMF (Palo Alto Medical Foundation) group and couldn't be happier. I was never dissatisfied with PAMF to begin with, but thought I'd try out One Medical. PAMF is in another league and provides a significantly better quality of care and a much more complete range of services. read more

She lacks empathy for her patients and wants to make a quick buck. It is because of doctors like her that the healthcare system is expensive without outcomes. read more

Wish I could give less than one star. Terrible service. Not customer centric and certainly not the concierge service they claim. This office is absolutely mismanaged. PCP too busy typing to do an exam. Zero eye contact and was quite rude. Office sends wrong billing codes which resulted in me being overcharged. They admit it was incorrect but, after several emails and calls requesting that they send over the corrected ones, the medical director ignored the requests completely and I'm still charged. When I requested my service be cancelled, medical director advised that a full refund would be issued and a letter was sent advising that it's prorated. Do NOT recommend at all. read more

When you are sick... And I mean really, really sick, One Medical saves the day! I haven't been truly ill, minus the occasional hangover, for years! My immune system works around the clock and usually doesn't fail me. But hey, I'm human and can't expect to go without any ailments for the rest of my life! Rewind to last week. I woke up Monday morning with a few sickness aches. And a bit of a fever. It continued all day long, so Tuesday I decided to visit One Medical. Got a same day appt online. Dr Wu checked me out (15 min appt, baby!) and said it was simply a bad cold. Rest up, drink fluids and it should be long gone within a few days. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday night on the couch, coughing my brains (and some gross looking phlegm) out. So much so, that I lost my voice! This didn't seem like a common cold, so Friday morning, I set up another OM appt. Sure as shit, I was siiiick. They sent me home with a Z-pack, prescription cough syrup (with codeine!) and inhaler. Nerd alert, I totally love the inhaler... It helps calm down those irritated vocal cords. Within a few days, I started feeling human again, sleeping through the night and not leaking green mucus. Sexy! Had I not been a One Medical member, I would have likely tried to brave it out and gotten even sicker! Because of the same-day appts, going to to doc didn't add to the stress of being incapacitated. read more

If you're looking for a glorified social worker who moonlights as a drug dealer, this is your place! The doctors here are nice, but two of the three I've seen don't seem very competent. They spend about 4 minutes talking to you, 30 seconds examining you, and the rest of the time playing on their computer. They seemed overly reliant on computer diagnostic tools. They plug in your symptoms, show you a screen with the diagnosis it spits out, and if you're lucky they'll print out the "treatment" that the computer recommends OR in most cases, they'll immediately refer you to a specialist. I was completely confused why the physicians weren't capable of diagnosing and treating simple issues on their own. In my experience a PCP does basic diagnostic testing, consults with specialists as needed, and only refers you to a specialist if it is truly complicated. I complained and the office manager called me back. She kept repeating that they provide PRIMARY CARE. When I asked her to define primary care, she said preventative care (like vaccinations) and coordination of services (hence the case management/social worker). So basically, this is the place to go if you need an annual physical, vaccinations, or if you want someone to renew a prescription. They are super good and efficient at prescription refills, so gotta give them props for that (hence the drug dealer designation). Maybe if you have an HMO and you need someone's rubber stamp in order for you to see a real doctor, this place would work for you. Or if you want someone to Google "dermatologists" for you. However if you are comfortable using the internet, you know how to diagnose yourself using WebMD, and you have PPO insurance, your abilities are way beyond those of OneMedical. Save your time and your copay and just go see a real doctor. And to top it all off, they are in violation of HIPAA and the HITECH Act. They email your Personal Health Information to you and other doctors (FYI email is not a secure means of transmitting information. It can be easily intercepted and is explicitly not allowed according to federal privacy laws). There is a note at the end of their emails indicating they know they are violating privacy laws, but they are under the assumption that you don't care. Unless you explicitly tell them NOT to violate your privacy, they will assume you're cool with it. read more

I've seen both Susan Runyan and Catherine Silva. Both of them have this very calming presence, and appear genuinely concerned and interested in helping you. What I appreciate most is their level of thoroughness. As examples, (1) they take the time to ask you an array of questions about yourself, which I believe helps to identify any potential medical issues, (2) when I first went to see Dr. Runyan, she ran all kinds of labs on me. At Kaiser, they were only willing to run those labs that seemed "necessary", and (3) when I told Dr. Silva that I was having sporadic chest pain, she actually hooked me up to this machine to check my heart rate just in case. That would've never happened at Kaiser. Essentially, I like their focus on prevention rather than only responding when something has truly become an ascertainable medical concern. I love the decor and the staff is always super friendly. Booking/canceling an appointment is a breeze as you can do that via phone or online. They have a lab there so you don't have to go elsewhere to draw blood (although you may need to go elsewhere for more specialized treatment). Dr. Runyan has always made herself available to me via e-mail and has been really great about following up and filling my prescriptions through such medium. They are located in downtown Burlingame. I've never had a problem finding parking but remember to bring plenty of quarters! Overall, I think its worth the hundred or so fee to become a member. Its a breath of fresh air not to have to go through a huge hassle just to see your doctor, and more importantly, to have doctors that actually seem to care. read more

I've been a One Medical patient for seven years or so. It used to be great. But there has been a real change in the patient experience recently, potentially due to their recent IPO. My doctor left, and I thought I had been assigned to a new one. I came for an appointment with her and she curtly informed me she wasn't actually taking new patients, "didn't anyone tell you that? " I learned I can't get assigned to a doctor at this location anymore, the closest would be in Palo Alto (an hour from my house). The staff seemed demoralized and not at their best. The visit was a really unpleasant experience. I think I still get care here-- maybe? -- but not from someone who will work with me long term. It's time to find a different network of providers. It's not worth the fee anymore. Meanwhile, I fully support the staff in their unionizing efforts. The corporate ownership needs a wake up call that they are not delivering the services they promise, nor a good workplace. read more

I just switched health insurance so I had to find a new doctor. My urgent need was to get a prescription refill since I screwed up and only had a few days left. I read the bio's of the doctors and decided I wanted to see Dr. Sophie Cole. She didn't have an appointment for a standard visit or a full physical exam before my I would be out of my meds, so I booked for a quick visit in two days. My office is close by, so yesterday I stopped by to pre-register with my insurance and do the paperwork. Although my insurance was listed as one of the types they take, apparently there is some issue with how Blue Shield handles individual plans - they're apparently repackaging Covered California plans, although they don't tell you that. So although I thought my insurance would be accepted, it wasn't. The woman who explained this was very helpful and understanding, and offered a variety of options about how they could help me. It turned out not to matter much actually, but I appreciated how helpful they were in explaining what my insurance agent never did. My appointment today was great. Reception staff was cheerful and friendly. Dr. Cole took me promptly. She reviewed my medical records I brought with me carefully. Asked detailed questions about various things she saw in my chart, made some recommendations about how to better manage my intermittent asthma (though that wasn't the purpose of my visit), did a thorough job documenting my chart in the system, and said she would further review my chart later. I explained that apparently my insurance wasn't "in network" and I would likely be using specialists at PAMF, and she said she often refers to PAMF, and she'd be happy to make referrals for me there. I was very satisfied with the Dr. Cole and her care and thoroughness. Would definitely recommend. read more

We went over all my physical history and performed a checkup and I am scheduled to come back for my lab test anytime after today. I joined One Medical about two years ago. While my primary care doctor is wonderful, this place is a total disaster zone. While some of the women at the front are nice and cooperative, there are a couple who are surly and seem to really not want to be there. I have had numerous problems with them not knowing how to send and receive faxes, blood test orders that they screwed up. But the last straw came when I had to make an appointment for my 14 yr old daughter who was experiencing back pain. I couldn't schedule online, and when I called, I was on hold for over an hour, only to be connected with someone who couldn't help me. Had to drive to the office to make the appointment. My regular doctor was on vacation, and so we saw Dr. Jivraj. Long story short, my daughter and I are not the same race. Yet we are clearly mother and daughter. I don't know how to put it any other way, but this doctor made it clear that she didn't understand how I could possibly be her mother. I was appalled. Disgusted. In the email exchange that followed she was nothing but defensive and belligerent and totally in denial as to what she had done. Then, to top it off, it turned out that when she submitted an order for a scoliosis spine xray to UCSF, she incorrectly stated that my daughter was not in pain, when she very much was, and then she DID NOT request that the radiologist include a measurement of the curvature--which anyone will tell you is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE SPINE STUDY. This then resulted in two days of me on the phone trying to get the measurement. In the end I had to PERSONALLY go to UCSF and speak with the radiologist myself. When I emailed Dr. Jivraj about this afterwards, she did not respond. The office is pretty and they do their best to make you feel like you are taken care of. But don't go here. Just stay away. There are plenty of other doctors' offices out there that have nice floors and chairs. Just stay away. read more

When you walk in the place looks more like an interior designer's office than a doctor's office. They are timely and have you in and out, while still making sure they address any and all concerns that you have. They have an on site lab technician so that you do not have to go elsewhere. They email you the lab results the next day and you have constant email access to your doctor. They have other locations as well. This place is great. read more

I was raised on Kaiser and had it my whole life until I changed jobs and they offered another provider. I was so nervous about not having everything all in one location but I read great things about One Medical. I signed up and made an appointment with Dr. Pacquing in Burlingame. I have to say One Medical was more intimate and personable than going to a Kaiser office. I have been with Dr. Pacquing her since 2012 and she is amazing. She is kind, considerate, takes her time, asks questions about health, lifestyle, family etc. She really wants to know all about her patients. She always makes me feel comfortable. She also listens to you and your questions and provides feedback or advice when needed. She is a very comforting and compassionate doctor. I would highly recommend her. If you need more information the staff is so wonderful to work with. You can call the main number and speak to a representative and tell them your concerns, fears and likes etc. They will help you find the right office and doctors to choose from. read more

Chose this as my clinic because of extensive research on their services, and their values align with mine when it comes to holistic and integrated medicine. My first appointment was to get annual examination. It started on time, as advertised on radio. Doctor was thorough and spent 45 min with me. Got recommendations on my goal on how to get active and moving while at work. Got blood drawn onsite for lab testing (without fasting). Results to be received via email. And I've never reviewed anything and don't generally see insta-commenting as a positive for the world, but One Medical has based itself squarely inside the world of tech and making the world a better place. Instead, I experienced exactly the kind of care you'd expect from a legacy, paper-based medical provider, when I tried to renew a prescription this week for a condition that does not change: altitude sickness. The provider sent me an email requiring me to come in for a visit (I learned by phone) because a year had elapsed; their system blocked the email from going out because my concierge fee had elapsed; fee elapsed because One M is using an email I don't often check; they don't call to follow up nonpayment; and, btw unlike other auto payment recipients, they apparently don't try to update the card info with the credit co. Avoid one medical. I went to This location to get a mission critical lab (I have a very urgent medical concern). They told me to collect specimens over 24 hours and that I was to come tomorrow at 5 pm, which I did. The office closes at 6. I arrived and they were closed. The website says they're open to 6, their door says they're open to 6, I showed up at 530 with specimens in hand and they were closed. I called. I was hung up on twice by one medical central (in Phoenix). I called and was told how unusual this situation was and that I would be called back once they contacted the office manager and that I was to wait at the closed front door. 50 minutes later I get a call back from some manager who yelled at me, telling me she was concerned for her staff (stating that there there may have been some office emergency), and that I should wait even longer for some LabCore tech to show up to pick up samples, only to be told later that they were not coming. This is appalling. I will be escalating this, as this is medically critical and this carelessness is nothing but disgraceful. Unprofessional. Appalling. Everyone: avoid this location. This place is off. The. Chains. Came in for an annual physical, because that's how I get down. I also had a few areas of concern I wanted to ask the doctor about. You know, small things. The ones you decide to "read up about" online, whereafter you're convinced you've contracted a rare South African disease and promise yourself to live your few remaining days to their fullest. So I arrive 7 minutes early (like my pappy taught me), and realized that the only parking near the office was metered. I'm a normal human being and it's 2016, so I didn't have any coins on me. But I also don't want to miss my appointment. So I trudge in to the office, check in, and mention to the receptionist at the front desk that "parking is tough around here". Without me even asking, they respond "Yeah. Do you need some quarters?". The beautiful bastard then proceeds to pull out a bag of quarters, and hands me 1 hours worth of meter-fodder. Are you kidding me? Who does that? I jog to the meter, deposit the donation, and run back to the office with 3 minutes to spare. Feeling like a stud, I decide to use these 3 minutes to relieve myself before my appointment. The restrooms here are hotel-like. None of that "paper towel" or "air blower" BS to dry your hands. We're talking fresh, clean, cotton towels son. The kind that you throw into a lovely hamper on your way out. I'm a guy, but I also noticed some nice name brand tampons, and a few other accoutrements. As my friend Hans Landa would say, "THAT'S A BINGO!" The actual visit with the doctor was as great as everything else. Doc was friendly, conducted the most thorough physical I've ever received, listened to my questions, took his time to answer them, and ordered me to some specialists for further testing where needed. He assured me that I (in all likelihood) did not have Congolese Tree Frog Syndrome like I originally suspected, which put me at ease. All in all, I spent 50 minutes with an actual doctor, which I think is pretty great, and felt listened to and very well taken care of. Oh yeah....because I've been smashing like a rock star (read: I haven't gotten laid in months, but I used to have a girlfriend), doc ordered a blood test. This was done on the spot, 5 minutes after our appointment. I hate blood. I always get dizzy and weird at blood tests. The sweet merciful angel at this location is the best phlebotomist I've ever had. She's pleasant, but no chit chat, and no "ok this is going to hurt" bullshit. That just makes it worse. She gets to the point, you can barely feel a thing, and you're done before you know it. Felt good. Felt manly, even. Confident. Felt like I may be on my way to actually smashing like a rockstar.... Unfortunately, I decided to relieve myself one last time before I left, and upon looking into the mirror, realized that it's just not meant to be. All in all, A+ facility, A+ care, and I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Save your money. Here are my issues: 1) They only offer 30-minute appointments. If your disease/complaint/questions extend past 30 minutes, you must return for another 30-minute appointment, and that usually starts from scratch. This is how they keep their appointments on schedule, and also how they make their money. 2) This is not the place to go if you are really sick. Note the other person's review who gave 5 stars even though she spent 2 days on the couch. I ended up in the ER b/c Dr. Runyan tinkered with my migraine meds and I lost 3 days of work and 5 days of productive living and I still have no agreement from her about my course of therapy, in spite of a recommendation from UCSF neurology dept. 3) The doctors are not qualified to handle special issues, but are also reluctant to refer outside of One Medical. Don't let this place fool you. It is a for-profit business, and they want to keep the patients returning to One Medical....not UCSF or Stanford or anyplace else. They make money by bringing you back again and again and again. This type of outfit may work well for people who just want a run-of-the-mill physician, but for someone who actually has a problem (e.g., migraines), it's not a good choice. I was a one medical patient maybe 6 years ago because I was frustrated with my regular primary doctor who didn't have availability till 2 weeks out and I had a terrible cold which ended up being pneumonia. Fast fwd 6 years later I'm back and I've found my new primary doctor. Dr Runyan is thorough, compassionate and prompt with her follow ups. I've never found a doctor who has great bedside manners! I'm truly blessed to have found this office and most importantly a doctor that cares! The after hours medical team is also amazing! I can't be in better hands than one medical! This place is great. The waiting room and office area is so calm and cute. The first time I came in, I was the first appointment of the day. I checked in and everything started ON TIME (YAY!!!). My appointment was with Dr. Pacquing. She gave me my physical and went over every question I had. She even asked me more questions to figure out the cause of my problems and the best way to treat them. I've had doctors in the past that just prescribe medications right away but Dr. Pacquing gave me different options to try first and even came up with some possible reasons for the problems I had been having. She then suggested I get a blood test and I was able to do it right there in the office because their lab is in house! It was one-stop-shop and it was glorious. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming and I never felt uncomfortable for a minute. I told her about a pain I had been having in my foot as well and was referred to a doctor right away. Also I was told the lab test results would take a week and I received the results via email only 2 days later. I was very pleased with the service here and feel very confident that I received great care. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

This was a great business when it first started. Great providers have left and it is impossible to get appointments.
