Where I treat myself to an insanely expensive tart from Laudrée. Where I get my gelato fix (blueberry lavender!) from Dolcezza. Where I park for delicious fish tacos from Tacombi. So, I am at the county's mercy. Usually, it's just an hour. It can be crazy busy, so pack your patience, and be kind to the man that sits outside the entrance off Bethesda Ave. Remember parking is free on Sundays. I had to stop a family from paying at the kiosk.

Fast forward to present time and I made a decision (after parking at another garage) to park in this one again. Wow, what a big difference it was to the other garage - not tight, less busy and a little cheaper (even if by just 25 cents less). There are not too many of the restaurants and stores by this garage, which makes it less busy than others, like Cordell - St. Elmo garage. This too has 2 entrances as well - one on Del Ray Ave and the other on Auburn Ave. This cost here is $1 per hour vs $1.25 for the Cordell/St.Elmo garage and it could be because cars are not frequently coming in and out during their busy times. Overall, it is just better at times to park in the garage that has less congestion with more space to travel between each floor. I haven't been up to the top floor in this one yet, but I'll check it out soon and update this review.

This garage used to be the cats meow!…read more Beautiful wide open spaces, meters that worked, and were outfitted with Mobile Now App Payment. Now it's a shadow of its former self! First of all, the police station flayed it and split the trimmings. You can't enter through Rugby anymore because that's solely a police entrance. Then! They blocked off the stairwell at the top of the garage so you can't even WALK down that side of the garage. Then, more recently they took away all of the meters and installed those infuriating machines where you enter in the parking space and pay for parking that way. Supposedly you can still use the parkmobile or mobilenow apps, but when I tried to scan the QR code on both, it came up snake eyes on both apps #NothingHappened. I mean... if you're looking for parking in Bethesda, I guess take it. But for a city that is constantly stigmatized for it's poor parking options that are both pricey and sometimes inconvenient; I just can't understand why they would take all of the good things out of this garage and leave it like this. I can just see it now - in a year they're gonna make the entire bottom level for like hybrid/electric cars or something ridiculous. Like... think of ways it could get worse, and it probably will for this garage. I know: Tell us how you truly feel. But really. I hate those machines. They take forever, there's always a line, and you can't adjust the time by the half an hour. You get to choose 1 hour or 2 hours. So frustrating.

It seemed like the first 3 floors are now set with a max of 3 hours and the time to park free is a bit more limited than before. Times have changed, I guess. After parking, I went to pay at one of the stand-alone machines. I entered my ticket, and, in a few seconds, the machine gave me back my ticket. Nothing on the screen changed. I tried again, same thing. So, I guess there was no charge for me to park. I got ready to exit through the gates and the thing prompted me to pay, so I guess the stand-alone machine wasn't working then. I wished they had put something on that stand-alone machine to state it wasn't working. I'll know for the next time to make sure some sort of amount is shown when validating my ticket (lesson learned). Note: When exiting by the gate, it doesn't take cash, and you may not always get a receipt. Per their website here is today's cost: 0 to 90 minutes (FREE). 90 minutes to 3 hours ($3). 3 to 4 hours ($4). 4 to 5 hours ($5). 5 to 8 hours ($8). Daily Maximum or Lost Ticket $20.

Apparently since the summer of 2021, the first two hours of parking is free and no longer requires validation. Payment can be made by cash or credit card. You pay at the kiosk before returning to your car.

This parking garage was very confusing and challenging to park in. First, there is no one at any of…read morethe entrances or exits to ask for help or directions. Secondly, it is one way driving. As I entered the first floor and found there were no spaces, on this floor, I had do execute a three point turn with cars in each direction. It was a real hassle. Thirdly, they don't have pay machines on each floor. So, they tell you to note your license plate, but with no pay machine on the blue G floor, you have no way to figure out how to pay. And, no one to ask for help. Then, all of the parking levels are marked G. So, if you didn't pay attention to the one strip of color on the wall, you wouldn't know which floor to return to. So, I will be looking for a different parking garage on Woodmont Avenue. Good luck, and enter at your own risk...

Seems there is a lot of parking in this area - street parking, open lot, and a parking garage. I…read morewas meeting up with some friends and decided to park in this Public Garage # 13. At the time I visited it had about 300 spots available. As you enter, you will notice there are no machines to grab a ticket. The first level seemed to be for a 2-hour max, while the rest of the levels were more than 2 hours. The garage is open 24 hours. There is lots of signage inside so you will know where you are exiting (Grandview Avenue or Wheaton Triangle). You can either take the stairs or elevators. Seems to be 4 or 5 levels (G1 to G4). G is the level you exit on. You pre-pay for your parking ($1 per hour), between 7am to 10pm (Monday to Saturday) either by using the machines or using the app (Parkmobile or Passport Parking). If you use the machine, it provides an explanation on how to use it: Enter your parking space number, estimate the time you are parking for, make your payment (credit card or cash), and then take a receipt. I was not sure whether I should put my receipt in the vehicle or keep it with me. My friend used one of the apps and could extend their time on the app (if needed). I may try the app next time (we'll see).
