I just can't give this salon more than two stars. The guy who manages it is not friendly and quite snippy. The first time I went in, I was new to the area, it wasn't awful. I had a pedicure, a manicure, and eyebrow wax for $85 and all that was in under an hour. The pedicure was OK at best. The mani was basically a cuticle trim, no polish, and $25. It lasted less than 10 minutes. The second time I took a friend, thinking maybe the previous visit was atypical--I was wrong. It was just before Easter, the older lady couldn't do mani/pedi-just run water etc and it was busy. The pregnant tech was in a hurry, the guy was gruff to everyone walked in and the lady who did my 20 minute pedi was so sick she could barely sit up straight. we love coming here usually i go with my wife for the pedicure every time we in town. it's relax and clean.

Not one to get acrylic nails often so I went in asking if I could get a set. After applying the base nail the tech cut them SHORT and square without asking me the length I wanted. When I didn't pick a color to have them painted I asked if they would paint them a natural color and I was told, "If you wanted natural you shouldn't have gotten acrylic nails." I then said, how about a nice clean natural shade to make them look like I just painted clear on my nails? And could they help me choose a color like that. I was told, "No" accompanied with a animated head wag, then a lot of fussing (in their language) and eye rolls. I picked out a color and then the guy proceeded to paint 3 coats on my already short, boxy, ugly nails. I hate how my hands look now and I was already self conscious of how they were before this experience. The color I chose ISN'T the final results. *also the pic shows what I got after I asked him to round them instead of leaving them square. All that to say, don't use them unless you know what you want, down to the color bc they don't want to help you with any decisions. Also, I question if they really want to help you at all. read more

Absolute worst experience and will not be going back. Right when me, my mom, and two daughters walked in we were so excited to spend Valentine's Day getting my daughter's first spa experience and immediately we were being rushed to pick a color and sit. Before I could even get myself seated in my chair the lady was already about to start painting my older daughter's nails. She didn't even soak her feet. She had the water on but it was too hot which we told them that several times and they never did anything about it. After I saw her grab the paint I told her please cool the water down and let my daughter soak her feet. She didn't want to do it, but reluctantly she did. Then she went to my younger daughter, mom, back to my older daughter and then myself. I think we MAYBE received 10 minutes each of treatment. No massage, no warm towel. Just a cheese grater and 3 seconds of a sanding brush. It was ridiculous how fast she was going! 4 people took 45 minutes and $125 dollars. I've never been so disappointed in a nail salon before. read more

After reading all the other one star reviews, I have to say that this is exactly the treatment I received. This is not a nice place to go to treat yourself. There is always a long wait, the staff argues with the clientele, and the manicures are no better than what I can do at home. I even received a gift certificate for a mani- pedi and didn't use it. I wouldn't even give this place a half star. I took my mom there for a pedicure. They watched me take her out of the car. (She's in her 80's) I got her in and sat down, and told them what she wanted done, which was just a simple pedicure. Basically, just massage her legs and feet, in the warm water. After we sat for a while, the lady told me that they don't service diabetics. That HEFA could've said that from the start! Mary on Hwy 98 did an excellent job for my mom!!! read more

Do not go here if your looking to pamper yourself with a manicure. Webster and Wikipedia defines a manicure as cosmetic treatment for hands and nails that includes cutting and shaping nails, clipping and pushing back cuticles, softening of the skin with the use of lotion or oils. Apparently #1 Nails in Petal, Ms doesn't perform all of these techniques. The nail tech soaks my fingers in barley like warm water for less than 2 mins then pushed and clipped my cuticles (which she did t for a very good job at as the pictures will show) and cut and shaped my nails. She finished with putting a clear coat of fingernail polish on my nails..... THAT WAS IT!! No maasage, no lotion, no hot hand towel or nothing. Worst part was after completing, I went to pay and told the guy upfront that what I received was not a manicure she simply cut my nails and cuticles. He replied with that is what they consider a manicure that all. I expressed my unhappiness but still had to pay $15.00 for a manicure. read more

Very unhappy with my overall experience. The service and my pedicure were both subpar at best. I walked in and requested a pedicure as there was no one waiting. I was initially politely told to pick my polish and the ushered to the pedicure chair. This all ended rather quickly! As I sat down and put my feet in the bowl, two women walked in requesting to have their eyebrows done. The other woman working on someone's nails summoned the woman starting my pedicure to go and do their brows. She then stopped and walked away to assist other patrons as I sat baffled in my seat. The woman doing another patrons nails stated I needed to soak my feet for five minutes that's all. Then 14 minutes later she came back to work on my pedicure. It only gets worse from here! I've never had a pedicure that does not include shaping of nails with a nail file. I asked if she could shape my nails four times and she ignored me until I finally said can you please shape my nails before you begin to polish. I was so upset and ready to go. The polish is all over my skin both clear and color. This by far is the worst pedicure I've ever received. Stay away if you value how your money is spent. read more
