The sign said "walk-ins" welcome and "cash-only". Perfect! The atmosphere was a cool old school barbershop vibe. Which, you don't see much of anymore. Dave was finishing up with a customer and I didn't have to wait long at all. He cut my hair perfectly was fast and very pleasant to talk with. The fact that I didn't have to hover over my squirmy Toddler for 39-45 minutes; shoving lollipops down his throat, breaking out into song and dance/full on theatrical performances, etc. (Any and every rewarding, redirection, distraction, tactic known to Mom), is huuuuge. Shoot for me, that in and of itself is reason enough to look no further! So in addition to completely taking over (which is often needed in situations such as this) and making my Son feel comfortable in the process, Jay had us in/out within 15-20 minutes tops AND he gave my Son the best haircut he's ever had!! (We've been to several other places in the past and never have I been so happy with the final results as I was after this visit). I literally couldn't ask for more. She is also very honest in telling me what I can or should not do with my hair so that I get the best results, and healthy hair. Her prices are so reasonable; they are ridiculously low compared to any other salons I have tried over the past 10 years. I've also watched her men's haircuts and she is a superb barber. Have no fear switching stylists and be surprised at the look and value. However, plan ahead, she is busy (has lots of loyal customers) but she also offers evening appointments which helps greatly for the working woman or man. I was going to other barbers around the area and they were taking 1 hour or more for a simple skin fade. He did it better and in 15 minutes. Not only that, I don't have to make an appointment and can just walk in, so people like me with a busy schedule with kids that doesn't have time to plan as much can just walk in and the wait is not that long due to his efficiency and professionalism.
