I brought my 4 year old son here for a fade, and since it was his first time, he was nervous. One of the barbers happened to have gummy bears and offered him the entire bag! My son's barber, Johnny, was very gentle with him and did a fantastic job! The location: Conveniently located on West Main Street in charming downtown Rockville. Scheduler is a bit off owner sent me to another barber knowing I had issues with another barber prior. Owner was quick to hand me to another barber as long as it wasn't him. read more

Great barbers here. I get my 2 year old sons haircut here and is not the easiest to do due to his autism. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and my sons hair always looks great when they are done. Would definitely recommend this place for parents with young children. read more

My wife brought my 8 year old son for a quick buzz cut on a Tuesday afternoon. Although she had no prior appointment, Sam told her no problem, only one person ahead of her, he'll get her right in. After he took care of the other person ahead of her, he took in another walk-in and another and another. After six walk-ins and an hour and a half later, with my six month old son having had enough and crying for a while, she decided to leave. As she came out of the shop, a woman on the sidewalk asked her how long the wait was to which she replied with her experience. That's when Sam saw her and came out yelling and cursing about how she was not to talk to any of his customers and to leave his business and never come back (she was already on the main street sidewalk before even being asked about her experience). Deciding who you would like to serve first might not be the most customer service oriented behavior, but if that's how you want to do business, it's up to you. Yelling and cursing at a woman holding a crying six month old until the 8 year old holding her other hand tears up is unbecoming of a human being, but again up to you if you do it on your business premises. Chasing after her and doing so on the sidewalk of main street is a class C misdemeanor in Connecticut. Anyway, some people might claim he's Michelangelo with scissors, but with barber shops around every corner, as far as my family and anyone else that asks us is concerned - absolutely not worth the agravation read more

Make an appointment and you're golden. Not one barber is on the phone, eating, chatting up another person. When you get in a Flints chair, you are that barbers priority. Period. I have lived in a bunch of big cities, Newark, NYC, Baltimore, St Louis, Los Angeles and San Francisco and have had my hair cut by what I thought was the best...man was I wrong. My friend suggested Flint's after I posted on FB looking for ideas on where to take my 2 year old curly-haired son. I stopped in today (yes, a Saturday AM walk-in) to see if we could wait for one. Sam greeted me and asked if we could come back at 1. He was so nice! I should've known we'd be in great hands. We got back at 12:45 and Bika greeted us at the desk and said she'd be taking care of us. My son has had a few haircuts before but I think his being super tired today just wasn't a good mix: He was beside himself. He was screaming and crying and did NOT want to be there (I humbly apologize to anyone who was there and had to listen to that until he calmed down finally!). Bika was 100% AMAZING with him! Aside from doing an amazing job, she was so patient and kind. Another barber came over and gave me a quarter to get him M&Ms to try and distract him (didn't work - but his sister liked them haha). Sam came over to try and reason with him but despite being insanely calm and kind, reasoning with an exhausted 2 year old is like trying to fit an octopus into a mesh bag. In the end, my son looks handsome as anything (I may be bias) and Flint's has a new customer (who will provide ear plugs and cookies for everyone next time as a peace offering). This was my first time at Flint's and it was an overall really aweome experience. I had Lisa do my cut and she did an excellent job. I threw a big one at her as her last cut of the day. I went from having past my shoulder length hair to a medium skin fade with side part and a pomp. She was very attentive and did an awesome cut. I am very particular about my hair and I have no doubt any barber at Flint's can knock out any cut. I saw lots of excellent fades while I waited and got cut. The online appointment booking is on point and they stay open til six on Saturday, extra bonus! I went to this barber name Johnny V at Flint Babershop, and I receive the worst haircut. I asked him to do a simple fade. And he didn't fade it enough , my hairline look rough and it wasn't sharpened. Throughout the cut he looked lost and confused like didn't know what he was doing. I was sitting for about 40 minutes to receive a trash cut. It was so bad I had to go next door to get it fixed by a dope barber name Jason. It was so bad he had to fix the whole thing. Word on the street people keep going to the barber next door to get there cut fixed because Johnny is HORRIBLE. Every other barber in the shop is good and knows what there doing .
