I told the owner this is the worst contractor in the La Crosse area, and I can stand by that…read more I wanted a vanity countertop, got a referral to this place from an awesome contractor in the area, read the good Google reviews, visited the place, picked out my countertop, got a price, and was told just call or text when you're read. All good. I tried to place my order by contacting the business. Over a few weeks, I called, texted, FB messaged. One of the phone calls worked, and I talked to the owner about the cabinet measurements, the adjustment needed for the countertop, the sink shape, the back and side splash, faucet holes, price (he forgot what he'd previously quoted), paid, and got a delivery date. He claimed he hadn't received my FB or text messages. The day after the delivery date, he hadn't cut the countertop. The next day, he claimed he had to recut it because I gave him faulty measurements -- which is literally unbelievable as we had discussed the cabinet vs countertop measurements and he kept getting cabinet measurement when he asked. When the countertop was ready, no side splash, wrong sink shape. By then, I'd communicated my worst contractor award to him, so he said I have to pay him a $200 "recut" fee, then he'll give me the side splash. To quote Yelp!, "Eek! Methinks not."

Clear communication, nice people. They told me what information they needed from me, told me the cost, and gave me an idea of timing. The cost was $50 (vs the $200 the other place wanted). I have them the info, waited, and picked it up when they said it was ready. I was worried a small project like mine would get lost in the bigger projects they must have, but that definitely wasn't an issue. I'd be happy to work with them again.

They ruined my yard, broke existing concrete then angle cut it…read more"good enough", left embedded forms and boards in the dirt, left large chunks of "extra" concrete in my yard, rushed to complete the job when it was pouring out, cleaned their equipment in our driveway, charged me an extra $100 because he didn't measure correctly, and laughed in my face when I questioned them about the mess they were leaving behind. They also left behind their food and beverage containers, almost hit a neighbors car driving past, and drove through another neighbors lawn breaking their irrigation system. If you want stamped concrete or a large commercial job, they seem to do just fine. But if you only want a basic concrete slab poured, do not use 5-Star or Howe Concrete (same company).
