I've been real fortunate to find one stop Dentistry. My whole life I've suffered from extreme anxiety, and going to the dentist was a nightmare. And than I found One stop Dentistry. Denise the lady at the front desk is not just beautiful, she is professional. And Karina one of the dentist assistance was so helpful. They literally make me feel like I was part of a family there. There are so many reasons to recommend this place that I don't even know where to start! I should probably start with my background. The dentist offices are not new to me. I've been in and out all my life but American dentists practice a little different from the ones overseas. Dr. Norooz was so refreshing and comforting. He also has a sense of humor that really helped ease things for me. I live in Olympia and although I'm never excited about having to drive an hour to get his office, let me tell you, it is very worth it! Everyone is his office is knowledgeable and friendly. I never feel embarrassed and everyone there is so professional. They also offer sedation, which I need to calm down and not feel the pain. The shots just don't work for me. Anytime I've had a problem, I've been able to come straight in or I had access to the doctor. If I tell him something hurts, he ensures me that he will be as gentle as possible. This is a great place to visit if you're scared of the dentist, like me! read more

I hadn't been to a dentist for a few years because the dentist I had been seeing while living in another state was always pushing costly, painful procedures. If I declined, I was met with negativity whenever I declined. Finding another dentist would have meant driving to far to fit into my busy schedule. The result was an absolute dread whenever I thought about visiting dentist. Finally, "later" was not an option and I was forced to see a dentist. Because Dr Noroz was so calm, supportive and thorough in his explanations, it made the initial visit calm, relaxed and me feel like I was really a listened to member of the care team. He works with many conditions and levels of needed care - Basic cleaning to surgery at Tacoma General Hospital a few blocks away. Clients ages are varied and he is excellent with those that have special needs. (Encourages the parents to be with their loved one in the recovery room as they wake up, too, to make it less traumatic.) After 3 years (starting when his office was in Jackson Hall on MLK across from TGH to his office on 6th Ave) i can honestly say, he's one of the all around best!! read more

Dr. Norooz and his team are second to none! I came to his office because I needed to be sedated to have a tooth pulled and his office does sedation... or so I thought... My previous experiences with dentists have led me to believe that I am difficult if not impossible to numb. I also was so stressed out by the thought of another dental visit that I just wanted my tooth taken out so I could be done with it! I showed up to his office for the preliminary exam on edge with all the thoughts of how this could go wrong. Dr. Norooz has a very calm and kind demeanor and between that and his knowledge of dentistry, through our conversation he set my mind at ease and even talked me out of having my perfectly savable tooth pulled and to instead go for a root canal. This was in light of his experience where he expressed that I might not even need to be sedated because he thought it very possible he would be able to numb me. Upon the day of my root canal I showed up wanting to try without sedation but he left that option on the table just in case. Dr. Norooz was able to numb me very effectively. The only pain I experienced was the initial needle poke! He was even so conscious of pain reduction that he used a technique to reduce the pain of the anesthetic injection as well! Mostafa Norooz DDS, MS, FAGD, is the biggest crook we've ever met. Don't go there. They will bleed your insurance dry. They will tell you that you need all this work when you don't really need anything. They will make deals with you to get the insurance. My husband went in to get one tooth pulled. The dentist pulled the wrong tooth. He then told us we needed to pull all upper teeth and get dentures. They finally after 2 months got some dentures. They hurt very bad and he tried to make them work. The dentist would numb the gums in order to shove the dentures back onto the gum. My husband tried to keep them in but the pain was too incredible. We decided to finally get a 2nd opinion, we found out the dentures were the worst they've ever seen and that's after our insurance paid $1700 to them. The Teeth were filed too far down, some teeth were missing half the tooth, but the worst was that this new dentist said the reason it hurt to have the dentures on is because there were bones growing inside the gum, and you could feel them if you ran your finger over the gum. Amazingly our dentist Dr Norooz just kept shoving the dentures onto the gum instead of just checking the gums, even thought my husband kept telling him how badly it hurt. Anyways we Called Dr.Mostafa Norooz to get our money back and he said "He loves my husband and he would never just try to get money from insurance " (which I find kind of odd since I never mentioned anything about money or insurance to him). Then he said he would pay for a new set of dentures himself but as he went in to get rid of the extra bones that now started growing inside the gums it creates a bill and left a $235 balance which we couldn't pay right away and I asked the woman when we will have the dentures and the response was "this $235 has to be paid first and we cannot get any dentures until then, THEY won't let us get dentures until there is no balance". Completely ludicrous since we already had a set of extremely bad dentures 6 months before and had a balance. So it's now 1 1/2 yearlater, no dentures, but hey they got the money already 1 year ago. Don't don't go here. We will be reporting him to the American General Dental Board Association. I sure wished I would've seen the review from this Nick M. that he posted. read more

I feel blessed to have landed in Dr. Norooz's office! He got me in the same day I called for severe pain. He set me up with an appointment for the procedure 2 days after our initial meeting. His staff greeted me by my first name and made me feel like I was a guest in their home. When I first arrived the dental hygienist was taking x-rays and Dr. Norooz came in to introduce himself before it was his turn to see me. When I left Dr. Norooz was waiting for me in the lobby to say goodbye. When I returned two days later it was him who came to get me from the lobby, not one of his assistants. I was so nervous the entire time and after meeting Dr. Norooz i felt so relieved. I hate going to the dentist and Dr. Norooz made it feel like a breeze. After my procedure he called me and my friend who picked me up to make sure i was doing okay. The next morning he even texted me! The price for everything was more than reasonable (I work in the dental industry so i know what the national averages are). The office assistant went over my treatment plan along with the costs and what my insurance plan would pay ahead of time. Dr. Norooz was so gentle and treated me like i was his own daughter. i hate going to the dentist and I cannot wait to go back to this place! I would tell anyone who has dental anxiety to visit Dr. Norooz. He handles everything from pediatric dentistry to dental emergencies. read more

Dr Norooz and his staff are amazing! I can't say enough good things about them and I have been going to this clinic for over 8 years. I trust him to care for me and my family. The level of customer service provider by Dr Norooz and his staff is rare. Making appointments has always been easy and the quality, safety, and efficiency of their care have always been outstanding. Dr Norooz is capable of caring for problems that range from minor to very complex and he is skilled and willing to provide sedation when needed or requested. He recently helped care for my aging father who has severe dementia and required a lot of dental work. It required considerable knowledge and patience to care for him and it was handled beautifully. I am certain that it would have been hard to find another dentist who would have been able and willing to provide the care that my father needed. Last, but certainly not least, Dr Norooz is a very kind man who is genuinely interested in understanding his patients and how they are doing. I have a developmentally delayed son and he needs all of his dental care to be done under general anesthesia. Dr. Mostafa Norooz provided this service. He treated my son with dignity and respect. He was very kind. He thoroughly answered all the questions I had. I emailed him on several occasions prior to my son's procedure and Dr. Norooz responded promptly to all my messages. The day of the procedure he was very reassuring and called me multiple times from the operating room to let me know how it was going. Later that evening when we were back home he called me to ask how my son was doing. Dr. Norooz was beyond wonderful. He is an EXCELLENT dentist and an answer to prayer. I would give this dentist and the office staff zero stars, if it was an option. My experience happened about 4 1/2 years ago, so maybe things have gotten better, but judging by what others have written, I'm guessing not. There were 3 of us, my 19 year old daughter, my 15 year old son and me. I went for treatment first and found the dentist very friendly. The hygienists were not and one in particular made it clear she didn't know what she was doing and didn't like me. The second visit was for my daughter and I sat in the room watching. She complained of pain and was disregarded. One of the assistants came over to where I was sitting and hit me with a drawer she was opening without so much as an apology. My daughter said she would never go back. I had talked at length to the staff and dentist and expressed how I didn't like it when offices wouldn't let me be with my kids during treatment. To my dismay, I brought my son in, who actually was the reason we needed a dentist at that time, because he had a couple of cavities, but I wanted to see if the dentist was gentle so I went first as the test case. My daughter & I thought maybe it was a bad day when she went and the dental assistant wasn't the best, so I made an appointment for my son and requested a different dental assistant. That's when it got REALLY BAD! When we walked in the door, the staff prevented me from accompanying my son(who was nervous) into the exam room. They actually stood in front of me and wouldn't let me go back. I then said I wanted to talk to the dentist because this was not acceptable. Dr. Norooz came out and gave me a lot of double talk as to why I didn't need to be in the exam room. After several minutes of arguing, I left with my son and have not been back since. I am not sure what they were trying to hide, but, although my son had to wait while I found another dentist, I am very glad I didn't back down. My feeling is that any medical professional that doesn't want witnesses, especially with minors, has got some serious problems. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

I want to preface this by saying that the experience I had took place quite some time ago, so it's possible they have improved since then. At the time, my employer offered a really awful "insurance" program for dentistry. It was through Delta Dental and essentially amounted to a discount program for anything other than a yearly checkup (not even including X-Rays or cleaning). I found One Stop Dentistry when searching for dentists that do sedation dentistry, as I am absolutely petrified of having dental work done. They were advertising some kind of special that offered free X-Rays and cleaning for new patients. Bingo! I wasn't too worried about needing any more than that. Thanks to a good orthodontist when I was young, I've never even had a cavity. When I made the appointment, I provided them all of my insurance information and they assured me that yes, the first visit would be free and they would be able to use sedation on me should I need it. Upon arrival, I was greeted by very polite and cheery office staff. The facility looked beautiful and immaculate. Then the awkwardness started.... They offered me two things immediately: A granola bar, and coffee. That just struck me as really, really strange. That seems like the last two things you'd want to offer someone that you're about to do dental work on. I just thought it was odd... like, "Would you like some bad breath and crap in between your teeth before we begin?". I thought they were joking. No points lost there, I just found it strange. They then led me back to the exam room and the dental assistant disappeared for quite some time after putting the little bit they put between your teeth in order to take X-Rays. A very, very uncomfortable amount of time went by. I could hear the assistant talking to a coworker, making what seemed like small talk. They literally forgot about me. A different assistant came in and looked confused as to why I was there. A few more uncomfortable minutes went by before they sorted it out, and the original assistant came in to finally take the X-Rays. My gums were bleeding from the thing cutting into them, and when I tried to explain that afterward, she said, "That's why flossing is so important." OK... So the doctor came in to introduce himself and look at my X-Rays with me while the assistant began the cleaning. I think she was new, because he was definitely partially there to supervise and assist her at times. Now, it's annoying enough when a dentist or a tech starts asking you questions when you've got your mouth wide open and full of gloved hands and torture devices. It's worse when he starts lecturing you about the fact that you smoke...and asking why you do.....and asking if you feel like a third class citizen and a social pariah, and letting you know it's only going to get worse and more expensive when I can't even get out "That's why I'm in the process of cutting down and quitting. Ass." So then after this little piece of hell was done, they took me into a conference room where they had a quote worked up about all the work I supposedly needed to have done. Keep in mind, a year prior, I had a clean bill of health from my previous dentist. He was talking about things like getting fillings in about nine of my teeth "as a precaution" due to what he called something along the lines of "potential micro-cavities" (I don't recall the exact wordage, but he was saying these were tiny little pockets that are indications of weak spots in the tooth, which *could*, *potentially*, *someday* become full fledged cavities....or they may not. The price they quoted me was something around $10k. It was like a sales pitch; very high pressure. They didn't even give me a chance to ask for a second opinion or say "thanks but no thanks" before asking how I'd like to pay for it....and then immediately letting me know I could sign up for their in-house credit plan right there and even get a discounted rate if I signed up today. I eventually told them I'd have to get back to them and insisted that I would not be signing anything today. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Norooz for almost 2 years - had to find a new dentist after mine retired. I asked a lot of people for recommendations, and he had universally positive reports from patients who were friends of mine. My experiences have consistently met those reports and my very high expectations. He and his staff are highly competent and knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Like alot of people I have severe anxiety when it comes to a trip to the dentist...I had gone years (10 eek) without seeing a dentist do to lack of insurance and the fear of knowing I was gonna need alot of work...Dr Norooz took care of it all in one day and I slept thru the whole thing...6 or 7 hours...The staff is incredible Ive been there 5 or 6 times and NEVER had a bad experience...if anything they have gone above and beyond to work with my existing insurance and keep my bills to a less painful level...Thanks Soooo much. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Norooz office for over 10 years. So, everybody hates to go to the dentist, right? If more offices were like Dr. Norooz, people may change their minds. The front desk staff is friendly and cordial - while the setting is professional. Dr. Norooz himself is very professional and hilarious, too. He is very good with his timing - often waiting until you are fully numb before proceeding. His assistants are always at the ready and are able to keep up with her speed. Dr. Norooz did implant, crowns and fillings for me, and I am so grateful to him for doing such a good job on my teeth. Dr. Norooz has been a wonderful dentist. He is very attentive and patient in all the work he does. Besides Dr. Norooz being amazing, his staff absolutely backs him up. They always make you feel special and like you're a personal friend. I was referred to Dr. Norooz's office by my daughters dentist, Dr Robin Jones about two years ago. I immediately knew at my first visit that I was at the right dentist office. The team greeted me with a smile offered me a glass of water and asked if there was anything I needed during my short lobby wait. Dr. Norooz came out to the lobby and introduced himself with a warm hand shake and a nice welcome smile. This year I had a emergency visit to Dr Norooz's office.
