Ok so I went for an oil change yesterday and the guy who changed my oil showed me a small broken…read morepart which was the filter bypass valve. He had me take a picture of it so they knew what I was when i went to fix it. He said it was a very quick fix but needed to be done before I go home (I live in California and was supposed to be on the road YESTERDAY) he sent me to this place DeWitt service center to get it fixed. While I was there they said it would be about 30 minutes to get the part. So I went to get food with my kids 9 and 9 months who were in the car with me and came back and sat in the parking lot waiting for the part to get there. When it "came in" he said that I couldn't drive the car in the back which in pretty normal but did seem kinda weird for such a small part. So we got out and waited for probably about an hour for a 30 second fix. Then he said there was an even bigger problem. He said the who bigger part that the little piece goes into was broken and eaking oil. He said it was gonna be a close to 900 dollar fix. I thought about it for a minute and then said ok let's just do it cause I was more in mom mode. Then he said they wouldn't be able to fix it till next week. I was like well I can't wait till next week so I'll just pay for the other part. He said there was no charge because they didn't do anything since the other part 2as broken there would be no point. All while smiling and joking around with me. (I have a very friendly and joking around personlity) so I took my van and left. When I got home to my parents house in perry I told my step-dad what happened. I showed him the picture and he sent it to his friend who is a mechanic. He said he would look at it in the morning. Well it's the morning and the only part that was broken was the original part I was told and showed was broken at the oil change place which is a 31 dollar part! My step-dad told me that they were gonna make an appointment with me to fix it. Put the 31 dollar part in, wait around for 3 or 4 hours and then charge me 900 dollars for it being "fixed"!! They tried to SCAM me and not only that but took away time for me to get home as like I said I was supposed to be on the road YESTERDAY which I told them they. All they saw in this single mom was a dollar sign. I would NOT trust these guys!

I took my Tahoe in there to get the oil changed and they must have cross treaded…read morethe drain plug. so they forced an over sized bolt into the hole and sealed it with permetex. needless to say the oil pan is ruined and to add insult to injury they over tightened the oil filter. Those people have one job u would think they could get it right !!! It seems yelp cant get my address right. I live in lansing and took my Tahoe to the northeast street location.... So customer service reached out to me and said they would like to make things right. After I sent the information they requested they said they could not help me because I hadn't followed there strict maintenance guidelines. They didn't tell me what any of that had to do with the fact that one of there employees had damaged my vehicle. good thing I caught it before any serious damage was done. My advice to anyone reading this is to take your vehicle somewhere else. if they wouldn't reimburse my for my oil pan do you think they would for something more serious ?

I mentioned a few issues I had in addition to the main problem - wipers quit working. They looked my car over and found the problems, providing me with details and what could be fixed now and what could wait. They provided me details, cost, etc. and kept me apprised of progress. Additionally, they provided me a loaner car. This was a godsend as I was going to daily radiation therapy for cancer. I was so pleased with their care, I also asked them to give me an oil change as I knew it would be needed soon. They said the latch to my hood was broken so they can't change my oil and i need it taken to a dealership so they can remove my front bumper to fix the latch. I drove to another valvoline to get a second opinion before I took it to ford and the guy literally said "yeah, whoever did it last must've broke it". I said "well the valvoline on E Kalamazoo did it last?" and he said I should call and make a damage claim. I now get to pay around $500 dollars to fix THEIR mistake from messing up my hood. I called damage claim and she couldn't find me anywhere in their system (even looking up my VIN number) so I had to go back to get proof they worked on my car. This is a huge expensive mess and I would never recommend going here.

Last 2 times I paid for the tire/wheel wipe (really just a tire wipe), and had to pull off the side as they didn't hear the buzzer at the end, and of course, dong it as quickly as possible, not well. The hand "drying" at the end, is really just a minor wipe down. They do not make sure the windows are clear, or mirrors. Imagine telling your kids to clean the bathroom when they are 10, that is about the effort given here. I would say the wash overall was good, the employee interaction, meh or even less. It seems to be getting worse too....I work near here, so I see them all day.
