on September 23, 2024 I called Ziebart on Creyts Road in Lansing Michigan to inquire about a price. However; the man who answered the phone was immediately rude and seemed perturbed after asking him a couple questions, at which time I asked if I could be transferred to someone else. That's when he became very blatantly rude and said and I quote " Suck my D&@K"! Then hung up the phone! I proceeded to call back and he said it again then immediately and hung up again and then he tried to call me back. I did not answer but after calling Corporate, I was in need of his name so I called back for a third time; when a young lady answered the phone and when she asked who had answered my call he grabbed the phone for the third time and said it again and hung up again! read more

Quality of work is very good. Price is about average. Service is very good. Jobs are normally completed when they say it will be done.

Ziebart is incredible .. I took my 1999 Toyota Landcruiser in for a diamond glaze 359.00 and an undercoating 499.00 and couldn't be happier.. it took 7 hours to complete.. my car looks like a brand new car not to mention completely protected on the underside from salty roads.. Spent $300 for a car detailing. IT WAS THE WORST! Cleaner left smeared all over dash, mats, and windows. Took me hours to get it cleaned. Called owner to ask for a refund, and was denied. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Have your kid clean your car instead, it will turn out better. read more

We had an appointment for a spray on bedliner for our truck, which has a rolling tonneau cover. We were told it was no problem, and there was nothing special we needed to do to prep the truck. My husband took the truck in this morning (it's a 40 mile drive), and before leaving asked again if the cover was an issue. Someone looked the truck over, including the tonneau and the light bar on the truck, and my husband was told it was not a problem. He was most of the way back home when he got a call from the shop saying they could not install the liner because they would have to remove the tonneau and light bar first, and they were too short staffed to deal with it. So this place wasted 3 hours of my husband's time and the gas to drive 140 miles, apparently because they aren't capable of maintaining appropriate staffing and are unable to communicate honestly with customers. read more

This place is not what it used to be. Last year I took my truck in for rustproofing and undercoating. It is important to mention that when I dropped the truck off, I was VERY specific in telling them to do the best job possible and that if anything above and beyond was needed, to just do it and charge me. I told them to "do the job as if it was their personal vehicle, but I was paying the bill." They called me and told me it was ready for pick up, so I came and got it. Upon getting home and doing an inspection, I found overspray... and I'm not exaggerating here... EVERYWHERE. All over the body, on my running boards, exhaust, turbo, starter, engine, shocks including the shaft, wheels, tires... everywhere. I spent 3+ hours and 2 gal of mineral spirits cleaning my truck up and still couldn't get the excessive overspray off of everything on the underside. When I told them about this, the owner stated that he could have taped / masked stuff off, but that there was an extra charge for that. I reminded him of what I specifically told them when I dropped it off. I also told him that mentality was backwards. One should start with doing the job properly and charging whatever it takes to do so. Then, if a customer balks at that price, you can take extras off to accommodate them, not the other way around. He also told me I could have brought it back and they would have cleaned it up. I told him that most of the overspray should never even have happened in the first place, it was egregiously sloppy work, and even if so, I shouldn't have to. It should have never even been pulled out of the shop in this condition. It should have been cleaned up and ready to go before calling me to tell me it was done and I could come pick it up. I told him I was so disgusted with the work that was done, my trust in them had been broken and I had no desire to allow them to touch the truck again at that point to clean it up. A year later, I took the truck in today for the annual inspection and touch ups and was actually eager to give them a second chance. I explained to the same owner who I was and about the issues I had last time. He, again, gave me every bs excuse he could think of instead of just owning it. I gave him a solution to every single excuse he gave. He then told me again about his "do the job right" upsell with taping / masking I mentioned above, but stating that even with that, there still may be overspray everywhere. I gently reminded him of the flaw in that mentality. We ultimately agreed that he was not going to be able to fulfill my expectations. I wish them the best, but I will not be returning to the W Lansing Ziebart under this ownership and can not in good conscience recommend them to others. This is just not the standards I think of when I think of the Ziebart name, and it's a far from what was expected of us when I worked at this very location years ago. Just had my car detailed in the inside of it and when I looked it over inside their shop it looked good. Then I cashed out & left. Oh Boy! Let me tell you, I could then see the most terrible job they did. Streaks all over my dash, center area where radio is, trunk not even just wiped down. So NOT worth $113!! I was very disappointed with my service this morning. I received a postcard in the mail advising me that I was due for the one year maintenance service. I was to have this done +/- 60 days in order to keep my warranty valid. I scheduled a vacation day to have time to do this. I made the appointment and was told it would take about 90 minutes. I arrived at 9am and after having trouble finding my appointment was told it would be about 2 hours. No offer of coffee or anything to drink, but was told of a nice restaurant across the street. After 2 hours I inquired to find they hadn't even started it because the owner didn't list me as a "waiter". The gentleman said he would get me up next and it would be another hour. So after OVER an hour I again checked on the progress. It's in the wash bay and would be another 20 minutes. When I asked about having this done every year to keep the warranty I was informed that this was not a product under warranty! Then why did I get the post card? "It's just a generic mailing" it's deceitful is what it is. Ok...it's been over 3 1/2 hours now. I'm frustrated and checking out. I had to ask for some form of compensation for my trouble. I was begrudgingly offered a $10 discount. The gentleman seemed pretty out out by my request and made a comment that the man (owner) had worked there 8 years and still can't be trained. This struck me as very unprofessional. Just take responsibility for the error...offer some amenities like coffee or water...and be polite. Costumer service shouldn't be this hard!! read more

They do an excellent job. I have been taking my vehicle here for years and I'm always happy. I would recommend this place.
