I ended up going here today. Years ago I lived in Rosedale and this was my preferred smog check shop. Anyhow I ended up here because my other shop was unable to smog check my diesel. The employee at the counter just did not seem to care at all. They were able to check my car out, and the vehicle passed. The bill was over $50 more than I usually pay. A lot of money extra to pay for crappy service. But they did do the check after four, less than one hour before closing. read more

Most expensive smog I have gotten. And it's not 1stop smog anymore. It's circle m on Rosedale hwy $119 for smog and $8 for cert.$3.50 for a call? $3 for something else $131. Speed a way smog $69 and $8 for a cert. not sue why it's $50 more then everyone else. read more

I went there over the recent Thanksgiving weekend. I walked in as they were trying to close up a little early, because after all it was a holiday weekend. I felt bad and told them not to worry, I would come back the following morning. They were extremely polite and quickly got my truck back for service. The price was fair and it was done in no time. I was in a bit of a hurry to get a smog done before work and only had an hour to spare. I called and the nice lady on the phone told me there was nobody in line so I ran down there as fast as I could. By the time I got there 2 other people had just beat me to the punch and I asked the lady at the desk if she thought I'd be done before 2 pm cause I had to be at work at 2pm and she didn't make any promises, she just said "oh well let's see if we can get you out quicker" ...by 1:30 I was on my way to work with a "PASS" smog certification. HORRIBLE business! I took my car here to get a smog check and when I went to get into my car to leave I noticed a brand new, deep scratch on my driver side door just above the door handle, very hard to miss and a small cluster of scratches on the edge of the door. Darryl, the employee was very rude, John another employee told me to get an estimate and he would give it to the owner, which I did same day. I called back every day for a week for a follow up and they finally told me that they were waiting for a 2nd estimate, so I went and got that and called everyday for the next week for a followup where they are now saying that the owner has moved to Texas and they are not going to take care of the damage. I also came to find out today that the owner is in fact John, who stood there in front of me telling me he would take my estimate to the "owner." read more

Friendly and fast service. I got my van smogged and I was back out in a quick fashion. Now being a full-size van mine is unique as they have to get inside and take off the engine shroud. They were able to do that without it looking like they'd even done it, so it was great that I didn't have to clean up after them. Sadly I wanted to give them 5 stars, but a tool was left attached to my van and I had to return it to them. I'm sure things like that don't happen often, but maybe they should work from a checklist that includes removing all tools. read more

So Far I HATE This Business. I had an appointment on Tues. Dropped car off Tuesday AM w Appointment when checked on car Thursday late afternoon car had not been even LOOKED AT. I was told 1 to 2 days they may have to keep the car I agreed 1 to 2 days. They have not even looked at my car. It has been sitting going on 3 days now. Oh yea forgot to mention this is for a SMOG CHECK/REPAIR ... who has had to wait this amount of time for a SMOG ... I made sure my vehicle would be easy. Tags,Insurance,New parts +... Oh yea I had over 1200 worth of smog repairs done 2 years ago. Out of pocket hurt. So brand new stuff. But because of the program time in tune up I feel consumers are being taken advance of. My recomondation is "REFREE SMOG PRO" VIA GOVERNMENT ... I have some consumer Q ? 1. What is the longest wait for a SMOG? 2. Why it takes 3 days go get your car smoked? read more

I came here many years ago when I had my little 2000 VW Bug. I was inexperienced with Repair shops and just knew I'd be taken advantage of. I'm so glad I chose 1 Stop. They were very thorough, kind, and prompt. I ended up having to get my A/C hose thingy repaired (see what I mean about my inexperience?). They wrote everything up before committing to repairs. There were no hidden fees. Just exactly what was quoted. The lady at the front counter was especially nice and explained everything very clearly. I certainly appreciate that. This shop stole an iphone from my car and are refusing to give it back. We went in just so our van could get fixed for the day. We had left an Iphone 6s Plus in the front seat by accident and when we picked up our car the next day in the afternoon. The phone was gone and no where to be found within the car. We searched up and down the car and found absolutely nothing. They are refusing to give it back. Also are extremely racist, we were speaking spanish and gave us a dirty look. I do not recommend coming to this place unless you want your personal belongings stolen. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. Apparently they are permanently short-staffed and unless you have the luxury of being able to drop of your car for days at a time until they can finally get around to looking at it, don't go here. I went on a Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. and waited for 2 1/2 hours for them to test my car. They said it would be an hour. Then finally they tested it and it was slightly over so it failed. They said they were too backed up to work on it that day and to bring it back Monday. I should have known there was a problem right there. I brought it back Monday and dropped it off at 8 a.m. I then started biking an hour to work each way in 100-degree weather while my car sat there untouched. She said she would need it overnight, so I figured I would hear something by Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon came, no call and I called and they said they hadn't had time to look at it yet. I called again just before closing time, and not only had they not even looked at it, but said there were still five cars ahead of me - after two full days. I immediately went down and picked it up. Who knows how many days it would have taken. To top things all off, I got there and my windows were down and the keys were in my car. No one had time to look at it, but they left it out there for the taking. I could have totally just got right in the car and driven away. They didn't care that they didn't get to it and don't seem to be doing anything to fix their short-staffed, horrible wait time. Don't ever go here! read more

I clicked one star only because there is no option for zero stars. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The ripoffs at 1 Stop told me I had nearly $600. in repairs needed on my truck with 67000 miles on it, and that there were other issues that could run the bill even higher. After five days of being jerked around I finally took the truck out of their shop and down to Speed-A-Way Smog on Rosedale Hwy. Two hours later I got a call from Speed-A-Way that the smog had passed after they replaced the GAS CAP for $16.95 including tax. Yes, I have contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair. read more

PLEASE, DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I could give them zero stars for their rude and extremely inconsiderate staff. I have never left a negative review for a business, but this was unbelievable. I went to this business for the first time to get my car smogged. I dropped it off, and asked them to call me when finished. I never received a phone call, so I went back 10 minutes before closing. The girl at the front desk told me that my car was never smogged because they couldn't "turn the ignition". (My ignition hasn't had any issues in the 8 years of owning it.) The part that pissed me off was that they NEVER called me to inform me that my car wasn't getting smogged. They just let my car sit out in the parking lot until they closed so that when I showed up, they had no time to smog it. Since it was now the end of the day, everywhere else was closed as well. A simple phone call about the "ignition problem" could have bypassed this entire situation. When I got back into my car, the ignition turned on smoothly as usual too. Needless to say, I will be finding another business that isn't such a waste of my time. I will never go back here again. read more

I bring all of our family vehicles to this place when we need a smog. I have to say that I love this place. Never have I had a problem. They are very friendly and efficient. I was there on Saturday the 30th of April to get my daughters car smogged. They open at 8 but I got there at 7:40am. I am glad I did because a whole lot of other people had the same idea. I was second in line and there was a minor issue with the car. "Will" came in and told me that he had to do some minor repairs and retest it. I said yes without asking about price or what was wrong with it. I just needed it done. Well he came back in and said its done. I held on to my purse a little tighter because I was scared of what the bill was going to be. Well, guess what?? I was just charged for the price of the smog test. I was so grateful for this. Minor repair or not, he could have charged me. I cannot emphasize enough how honest and professional they conduct themselves at this place. read more
