I just picked up my vehicle from this place and let me tell you something. I was having problems getting my car to pass smog so the state gave me a voucher for $800 to go to any certified smog place to get my vehicle fixed. Dealership needed a smog check to pass to the DMV, though she informed that smogs aren't needed for newer cars less than 8 year. Still needed it for a DMV approval unfortunately. Worst place to go if you care about your vehicle. Besides the over priced services they take terrible care of your car. They left my car unlocked and windows down after they left it out in the parking lot. Not only did they leave it completely open. My car had been gone through. Nothing that I can see was stolen. But someone was definitely nosey enough to go through everything inside of the cab. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. The day after... Lisa called back to comment on my review... She made it clear that no one wanted anything from my car (agreed because I don't carry anything of value in my busted Altima, the principal was that someone went through it) and she did acknowledge that they did leave my windows down and left my car unlocked, ( she said she was under the impression someone was picking it up, even though I directly expressed that they keys only would be picked up by my disabled father for me to later get it.) She also had the gull to say I was dissatisfied due to me wanting a handout. I used a voucher from clean air California to have them work on my car for free(up to $500). And whatever else was out of pocket. But besides that they wanted to over charge me by $100 on a service which was roughly $400 out of pocket. Which I thought was unfair. So I took it to another mechanic which did the exact same service and fixed everything else for $300 flat. Had my car back within 4 hours. What a great place!! Having been in the automotive world for over 3 decades I've seen more than my share of shops that were untrustworthy so when I found myself faced with having to get a smog check done for my Dad's car who recently passed I was a little uneasy. I could just see it now... "You've got a great car but it'll need a few $1,000.00 of work before we can get it to pass." Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. I could tell from the moment I walked in that this shop was ethical, clean, and a place I could trust. Again 33 years of making cold calls on shops just like this has given me a very good sense of who is legitimate and who is not. This place closes at 5pm. Brought my car in at 4:03 pm. Didn't take my car in because last take in time is at 4pm. If you don't want to work past 4 close at 4pm. This is usually where I bring my car but not coming back. Walked out of there no problem if they don't want my money another shop will gladly take it. Went down the street to 1 stop smog and they gladly took my car. Was in and out in 10 minutes. Easy money for them. There are multiple shops on this street I recommend you choose any but this place. Hope the owner sees this review and talks to the people in the counter. Missing out on easy money. I just had my smog test done ! I was stressed because I didn't pass needed to drive more to re set the computer! My battery was disconnected to be cleaned so everything had to reset! I received great service today. I called and found I could come in right away which I did. I checked in waited about 5 minutes before my car was taken in for its smog check. I have two cars which are both 2006s so this year was a "Smog" testing year for both. This particular location used to be under a different name & management, it was called Advance Performance Smog so I was iffy but figured I'd give them a go. I tried locating coupon online but had no success, the previous smog business had one but it's okay. Came here on a Saturday morning with no hope of quick service since a lot of smog places are jammed up from open till closing. To my surprise there were only two ahead of me and one car in testing. The total duration from parking to leaving was no more than 45 minutes, super quick in my opinion. Yes the service was quick but it was very well done. When checking in the tech was very welcoming and thoroughly explained the process. He also made sure to greet each customer that entered the office. They take cash or a major credit card and if it was during the week or that certain Saturday, they are right next to the DMV to complete the registration process. read more

Now I came this place a few years back and it was terrible. I did get my smog check and did pass the test. The proble was when they gave me my car it was burning hot. They did not use the standing fans that are used to cool your engine. In smogs those fans are a must because the test is done at very high engine revolutions. I had to waite for about 35 minutes for my engine to cool back down. read more

I went in to have my brakes done and the front office women couldn't give me an estimate. Not even a general " we charge this amount and hour, or starting at this cost and up." Five hours later I called the office and another women said she couldn't tell me when my brakes would be done or even a price. Someone would have to call me back. When I did get a call back she said my brakes and pads were fine but there was some Crystallization on them so I should replace the rotors! This was going to cost me $460 dollars!!! That was just the front. I said I couldn't pay that at this time and I'll go pick up my car. The total cost I was charged was $ $110.00. Just to look at my car. Ridiculous!! I thought this was still advanced smog however upon my arrival I was not aware that it was under different owner...AGAIN (which is like the third time within a year) the two previous owners were great, alw8ays made the customers feel welcome. It is their job to check the car fully to make sure it is smog ready however they failed to do so which gave my car an end result of a FAIL! Then argued that my vehicle was not ready for smog when advanced smog was in charge they made sure the vehicle was ready Advanced smog "had your back" where as this place just wants your money. I been here 6 months ago for my check engine light, Paco fix my car by replacing thermostat and flash coolant, test drive all good and no issues up to now. Receptionist also very helpful and nice. One thing I did notice that was above and beyond, was the fact that they reset all your settings back to the way they were when you brought the car in. Most smoggers and mechanic shops don't, leaving you to readjust things once you take back possession of your vehicle. Not a big thing but a nice touch. read more

Accurate smog took the place of advanced smog, which was a bad move. Advanced smog was friendlier, nor helpful, and compassionate about clients. Accurate smog on the other hand is the opposite. All they want is your money and do not take the time to actually help you solve the problem. Supposedly, if we ask before hand to do something that they should already do in the first place, they won't do it. Stay away from this shop as all they care about is making money. read more
