We can highly recommend One-Way Construction NW. My husband and I have both built a custom home, and totally gutted our 4,000 square foot home to remodel it. In both instances our service was fair and not done on time. Sam Littrell, the owner of One Way Construction, did an amazing job from the very beginning of our remodel. I knew when I called the very first time and Sam answered the phone, they were the company for us. Tracy worked very hard on two estimates for us. We had both a house and apartment job to complete. Marisa was our project manager and made choosing flooring and windows so easy, Chynna in billing made monthly payments easy. I asked what kind of timeline we were looking at? Sam said 3 months and it was 3 months. From start to finish the whole crew seemed excited about and in tune with us about our project. Our new home was finished on time and under budget and had all of the custom features we were looking for. Our house is perfect for us. We asked for some special features because we are lifelong animal lovers and they delivered on it all. The whole team was helpful and kind. Carley was super responsive and gave good advice when my husband and I had trouble choosing something. They guided us to the right products and even found us some great deals. We have quartz countertops throughout the house that were on sale and they look amazing and were an awesome deal thanks to Carley's guidance. The planning went smoothly, all of our questions were answered along the way. Sam was a perfectionist with the execution, their trim contractor Boris made us the most beautiful fireplace I have ever seen, and they worked with a paint company to give us a special wood effect on our garage to match some of our outside features. At the end they even brought us an adorable gift basket to welcome us to our new home with a special treat for our pets as well. We have already gained more equity in our home than we paid for it by a long shot. I seriously could not be more pleased with how this entire process turned out. You hear horror stories about building a home, but this was a breeze for us, in no small part due to One-Way Construction. DON'T HIRE One Way. We just finished a 4 month project that took 18 months. This company has absolutely 0 quality control. They will overpromise and under deliver time after time. We continually had to cut down on the scope as they proved their inability to do many basic aspects. Our first project manager was awful. She was argumentative and always seemed bothered. She was retiring in a few months and didn't care. The owner, Sam, said that she seemed checked out an uninterested yet did nothing about it. She had 0experience in construction, nor did her replacement. Their invoices had mistakes I caught. Keep an eye on billing as they will over charge/bill for work that was never done. They will recommend more more work than is necessary. They pushed for us to have a new roof and siding. We brought in 2 second opinions that both said there was no reason for that work. One Way said because they planned on residing the house and I chose not to have that work done that they weren't able to properly seal the new windows they installed. Both 2nd opinions said the windows were not up to code. Both second opinions said having siding work done has nothing to do with whether the windows are installed up to state code which they weren't. (Brandon will have excuses in his response, similar to his response to the other reviews). I had to have the trim redone by another contractor, costing $1,000's. There was an 8 months where no work was done and we had a partially finished, dirty house with construction debris everywhere. We came to the house 2x when they said it was clean. It was not and even Sam Littrell said it was unacceptable but didn't do anything about it. He would always just blame it on the subs saying we will never us that sub again. Brandon said several times that I should just be happy I have a vacation home. One of our cabinets they installed had all of these screws showing on the back through the glass door it had on it. They put white stickers over the backs of the screws as a fix hoping I wouldn't notice. We gave them the measurements for the fridge for our kitchen so they could plan the cabinets around it. They then measured incorrectly and blamed it on me so I had to repurchase many cabinets putting me out thousands of dollars and left me with unused cabinets. They also lost a cabinet door so our kitchen was missing a cabinet door for 8 months. All of the exterior doors were hung so poorly they would not close easily. After asking many times they fixed them and showed that some of the screws holding them up were stripped. Sam also blamed it on the house settling. This house was built in 1996. The first time we used the master shower it we noticed water leaking through the ceiling below. The drain wasn't tightened so water was just flowing outside of the pipe and on to the ceiling below. They had to cut open the ceiling and very poorly patched it. It looks awful and o they blamed their tile guy for this error and said they would have a talk with him. There was a clog in the drain and we had to have an emergency plumber come out as toilet water was coming up through the shower drain. The plumber had a hard time pushing it through and asked if any recent work was done as it seemed grout poured down the drain. One Way left the windows exposed for the winter months without any trim. I asked them about this and nothing was done. Brandon even said the east side of the mountains doesn't get much rain compared to the west side of the mountains. I was solely responsible for quality control of this project. Brandon even said that my expensive project isn't "lining his pockets." Overall it was a NIGHTMARE of an experience working with One Way. It caused many sleepless nights and made it even worse that they would never take responsibility and just blame it on their subs. They were concerned I would leave a bad review but in the end felt responsible to do so to warn anyone else that might be considering using this company. AVOID One Way Construction at all costs, they are the worst. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They do not follow through with anything they say they are going to do. They produce extremely poor quality of work, they hire inexperienced workers, provide them no tools, guidance or oversight, they took 3 times longer than expected and we had to fix several MAJOR issues after they left. This includes 2 separate STRUCTUAL issues that had to be rectified after they "finished" the job so our house would stay standing. Sam will basically tell you whatever you want to hear but never actually does any of it. You have to watch them extremely closely and remind them 3,4,5+ times to do things or they just won't do it. They will tell you things have been done when they haven't in hopes you won't check for yourself. Sam even went as far as to suggest to me that I should regularly check in with his crews (he suggested twice a day) to make sure they were working hard since we observed them sitting in their truck the majority of the day. In the end we were extremely disappointed, over budget, and way behind schedule and Sam only had excuses (including blaming his own crews and telling us that none of them would have jobs at the end of our project). Not exactly what a homeowner wants to hear especially when spending good money. read more

One Way construction started (but did not finish) our new home in Leavenworth. We found them to be absentee contractors who did not properly oversee their subs. We had several issues during the construction of the build especially when it came to the roof and the finish work. The entire roof is being replaced this spring - One Way did not stand behind their work or that of their subs - we had to bring in our own consulting experts to show them their subs did not install the roofing material properly. As for the house trim - there were areas in the house that had to be redone 5 times. The Rob Sorensen asked to have areas with missing drywall covered by tile trim - thank goodness the tile sub refused to cover up the spotty workmanship. I would not recommend One Way for any job big or small. read more
