Review based on the exterior: I was in disbelief many years ago when i heard this building was going up. Like many Americans still reeling after 9/11, I was in denial. So much so that I avoided visiting during subsequent trips to NYC. So glad I finally saw it on this trip. It's a beautiful tribute and backdrop to the memorial, a symbol of hope, healimg and honoring those we lost.
After visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum, I had the opportunity to stop by the One World Trade Center. It is also known as the Freedom Tower and it is a skyscraper located in Lower Manhattan in New York City. It was constructed in the northwest corner of the World Trade Center site and the building opened in 2014. It is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere! The building's exterior and interior are beautiful. The One World Observatory offers panoramic views of New York City from it's 100th and 102nd floors. This is a commercial hub and a site of remembrance. You can buy tickets online for the One World Observatory. There are different ticket packages available with one of the packages including a 60 minute guided tour! If you're a local, NYC residents can save on tickets. I highly recommend if you're in the area to stop by and visit the One World Trade Center!
Visited the One World Trade Center in February 2026 and spent time at the memorial while walking the WTC grounds. It was a meaningful time of remembrance, and there was a steady crowd of visitors paying their respects while exploring the memorial, the adjacent Oculus, and the World Trade Center Museum. To be honest, I didn't know much about what happened to the site after the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Seeing how the grounds were transformed into a place of remembrance was humbling and moving. Right next to the memorial stands the rebuilt One World Trade Center, which opened in 2014. From what I learned, it is the tallest building in the United States, standing at 1,776 feet -- symbolizing the year America declared independence. Visitors also have the option to go up to the observation deck, which is truly impressive. The original locations of the World Trade Center towers are now part of the memorial and museum, and the site is within easy walking distance of the Oculus and its shopping center. It is an incredible and meaningful place to visit if you are in New York. 5 stars -- honestly, anything less would feel disrespectful.
PROS: Absolutely amazing building! The. elevator is fast with a animation of the city through the years, cafe is on top, events are hosted in the observatory, a gift shop is here, price is good, loads of parking lots around the building CONS: The lobby is tiny for a building of this size OVERALL: I would highly recommend coming to this building! This was a good view of the city. However, I prefer top of the rock in Rockefeller building instead
visited during memorial weekend! not much to do but lots to read and learn and take everything in
it's incredibly stunning even if you go just to walk around, it's worth a trip. there's a lot of nice architecture in the surrounding area, and theres a huge mall inside. it gets lit up really nicely at night too. I would skip the food as it's probably really overpriced but if you're looking to shop high end you ca always visit the eataly.
One of the most iconic buildings not only in NY but all over this world ! No 1 place to visit when in NY .. so much of history and so many emotions behind this building . This is the iconic symbol of New York and very easily accessible with public transportation.. Path train from Newark stops just next to WTC . There is also a museum outside the tower which is very expensive . About 33-36$ entry tickets. Wish they made it a little cheaper for everyone to see and learn all stories of this wonderful place . Couldn't locate many restrooms but I'm sure there are few . Parking is very ever expensive all around this place . We parked few blocks away.. can go here any number of times to witness this beauty . Just love this place .
Parked two blocks away on Broadway. Walk to One Trade Center was bittersweet bringing back memories of 911. The memorial was amazing! The build was beautiful as we entered the airport style security. Walk through a dark walkway displaying history of NY on way to elevator. Elevator ride was jet fast 47 seconds, displaying the progression of NY city on the side of the cab. Once on top, you watch a short video of NY then the screen opens up to your first glimpse of the spectacular view of Manhattan! Picked up my interactive iPad and enjoyed all the breathtaking view in every direction. Upscale restaurant on top of the world is a must! Food and drinks were delicious. On the way down, visit the humongous atrium to experience the vibe of NYC. A must visit for everyone.

Truly a remarkable experience here. This place is an experience that one must visit and go thru. Of course it all cost money but it's worth every penny. The views from the top are remarkable. The elevator ride to the top with all the videos and skid effects are amazing. The memorial is breathtaking as well downstairs. It does get crowded but it's all worth it
Not sure why the One World Trade Center and One World Trade Center observatory are listed separately, but the reviews are essentially the same. Disclaimer: I never wanted to visit this spot because it's ultra touristy and I perceived it to be overrated, however my friend wanted to visit the "tallest building," and this is the tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere (number 7 in the world I think). I purchased the most expensive package, the VIP tour. For two tickets, this cost over 166 dollars. This included a 15 dollar credit for merchandise or food for each patron, as well as priority entry. The priority entry was great, and honestly the main reason I chose this option. I don't like waiting in lines. The rest was a total bust. Our guide, I will omit their name, was a very nice person. But they talked too much and too fast and the tour contained way too much technical information. For over an hour, the guide droned on about various buildings and businesses, and there was very little room for banter or questions. I feel like these guides must be on a timeline and have a specific script they are supposed to stick to. My companion asked why I didn't ask the guide to stop talking. What was I supposed to do? At the end, I really wondered if I should have just said, "We appreciate you, but I only purchased the VIP pass for skip the line access, and also thought it would be more than just naming random buildings at high speed." My friend was blown away by the views, but it was dampened by the blabbering guide. She was exhausted to the point I had to take her back to the hotel to take a nap. Me personally, I prefer the Empire State Building. Not as high up, but can't beat the 1920s decor, Art Deco fixtures, and the fanfare. Our tour was so early that we couldn't capitalize on the nicer restaurant (though the pickings were slim there too). We didn't want to wait in line at the overpriced grab and go cafe. We didn't want "swag" from the store. So the 15 dollar credit was a joke and a waste. I can appreciate what One World Trade Center and the observatory represents. It was well planned and is a beautiful building. But this is very touristy, with long lines. And the VIP tour is a waste of money when you look at value. I literally only did this for my friend, and even she was bummed at the overall experience. I tried to tell her, but sometimes you have to learn on your own . . .
Awesome New York landmark. Its got an amazing ceiling that allows natural light to come in and the view of the light is beautiful. In addition, its got a mix of clothing and restaurant stores inside. I only purchased coffee and some food from a coffee shop inside. It is also a hub for the PATH and MTA station where people can transfer and get to their destination in NY from NJ. Outside is a beautiful work of architecture. Would love to take some pictures in the future of it : )

We came here and to Ground Zero in April and even after twenty-five years I found it all very emotional. We walked around. Went down stairs to the Museum. Took pictures. Saw pictures of my co-workers on the wall. Felt very numb. I needed to sit down several times. I used to work both here at WTC and across the Westside Hwy at WFC. So just walking across the parking lot, to our local USPS yesterday and seeing the flag at half staff brought out a lot of emotions, for me again. For years while I worked, I would often take a vacation day or call in sick. But I feel, I believe, you cannot say never again, with vengeance in your heart. There were pictures on the Museum wall of folks from all nations, all religions, all backgrounds. But in the words of Rodney King's: "Can't we all just get along?" So as our Minister says every Sunday: "go in Peace, to Love and Serve ..." read more
Standing at the base of One World Trade Center in New York City, you can feel right away this place is different. It's powerful, historic, and honestly one of the coolest experiences in the city. Now the elevator ride? Absolutely wild. As you rocket up the tower, the walls transform into a time-lapse of New York from the 1700s all the way to the massive skyline we know today. By the time the doors open, you're already fired up. Then you step into the observatory... and boom. The views are unreal. Manhattan, the rivers, the bridges everything spread out below you. Grab a cold beer up there and take it in. Standing 1,776 feet above the city (a nod to America's independence) is one of those moments you don't forget. Built on the site of the towers lost in the September 11 attacks, this place isn't just a skyscraper it's a symbol. Powerful, unforgettable, and absolutely worth the trip. read more

A majestic building. When one is there it just feels like a solemn place. The building is built beautifully to show we will never forget. While there you can't forget the horror which happened, but we are a resilient people. read more

MANHATTAN/Financial District & Lower Manhattan: The World Trade Center campus is a beautiful area to walk around with public spaces to gather, enjoy, and reflect. See murals, fountains, green areas, learn history, pay respects at the 9/11 Memorial, and see how the area has transformed. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed to walk around the outskirts of the property for stunning views; please be respectful. read more

One world trade center is a great place to go with lots of history all around you. I went a few months ago and had a blast!!! I love the view inside and outside of the one World Trade Center and enjoyed walking through the trade center and going into some of the stores. It's a great place to explore and enjoy NYC, whether going with others or alone. It has different shops, theaters and restaurants in and around it. read more

This is a landmark center in the financial district. They have done a great job in creating an area to give tribute to 9/11, then there is a one world observatory, huge mall with lot of shops, subway access, good centers etc. There are a lot of photo areas created to attract tourists. Beautiful place and must visit area. read more
A must see when visiting New York to pay tribute to everyone who lost their lives that day. It gets pretty busy & crowded. New York is just a fast paced city that does not stop for anyone. There's some vendors in the area selling basic water/snacks. Restrooms are all the way in the mall. Kinda glad they were though because we probably wouldn't have stopped inside being that we didn't know what it was. We parked a few blocks down. Parking was like $60-$70 because we had an XL vehicle. The parking itself was kinda sketchy but all was good! You can get lost here for a few hours learning the history & all. Definitely recommend visiting if you're visiting NY. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time in our itinerary to attend the museum. read more

So, I did a lot of research before coming in to see which observation deck I wanted to come to. I had been to the older observation decks when I lived in NYC and the two choices I had this time weren't even buildings yet when I lived there. Unfortunately, One World Trade Center didn't win in the choice between the two. However, we didn't feel tired after our flight in, so after filling up on delicious cocktails, we decided to come in during the last entrance time. I don't know if this was a blessing or a curse but I will say that I am glad we decided to do both. I didn't realize how emotional the trip would make me, given how one of the top things I wanted to do when I first moved to NYC was to eat at Windows on the World, only to watch the twin towers fall a few months later. I will say I appreciate the amount of respect given to that tragedy while still making this a tourist attraction. The blessing? There was no line. Not a line to buy tickets, not a line at security, not a line to get to the elevator. There were maybe 4 other people on their way up with us. The views were fantastic and I loved the art installations. The movie in the elevator is powerful and very, very well done (better than the "other" place I might add.) The curse? People weren't in line because they were already upstairs. The crowd was intense. It was mostly people camped out, finishing their filming of the sunset. There are little skyline barbs that I think are to prevent people from sitting and camping out. They do not work. It was pretty hard to get close enough to the window to not take a glare picture. However, we made due and it was a very nice experience. read more
This is an absolute must see if you are ever in NYC. The site of one of the most viscous attacks in US history. The entire place has a "feel" to it that is almost ghostly. I've seen this area on the news and various documentaries for 20 years but I've never seen it in person. It's so hard to reconcile this place as it currently is with the level of level of destruction and carnage that once was. I'm not a religious woman but I did take a knee and offer a prayer for the fallen and the their families. I'm glad I finally saw this area in person. My wife was brought to tears. As was I. read more

What an experience going to the World Trade Center. Almost and eerie vibe here. Definitely makes you feel sad thinking about all the names and people lost. You also get a sense of feeling so small and temporary when visiting ground zero. It's an odd thing that we have this place where people go to "ooh and aah" and take photos, when so many lives were lost that day on September 11th. I can't even imagine what people went through that day, and the horror they faced. Such a tragedy. This has become a tourist attraction, but let's not forget what this is really about. Ground zero is huge. The pictures don't even do it justice. It really makes you think about a building that big and extremely high, collapsing. The damage it caused. It's crazy to think about. read more
I would definitely recommend a stop up to the observation decks in WTC (Tower One aka Freedom Tower) while in NYC!! The cost of normal admission is $38- there are plenty of packages, including the priority pass, that enables you to skip the line and gives you $15 vouchers. I had the priority pass but found that both lines were the same (short), and felt I paid the extra money for nothing. The vouchers you are able to use in the gift shop or at the restaurant. It's best to buy tickets online and avoid the line once inside to purchase them. You will pass through metal detectors upon arrival, and then take the elevator up to the 102nd floor (in 42 seconds). The walls of the elevator are a moving picture, showing you the city from 1800's until now. I personally didn't love the elevator experience because the graphics made me nauseous (I do get motion sickness reading in cars). Breath-taking 360-degree views once on the observatory deck of all of NYC. read more
Definitely a must for each and every American born before or after 9/11. It's thread in our fabric which has re-defined the U.S. The site's fountain is very moving and I recommend sitting and remembering what you saw in footage or read, or experienced on those days. The top of the WTC1 is a great way to check it out, it's not cheap but it gives you a solemn perspective and not just a jaw-dropping view. Highly recommended. read more

What an incredible experience! The journey starts on the elevator that has a video of the construction of NYC throughout the years. When you finally reach the observatory, the 360 degree views are incredible. So breathtaking! If you have a chance, do make reservations to eat at the restaurant, ONE Dine, up in the sky! The menu is limited, but I highly recommend the Steakhouse Burger which includes Gruyère cheese and port wine onions. A chefs kiss! Our waiter Haque was just fantastic! All in all, an amazing experience! read more

Are the lines long to get in on a Sunday?
You must book online to avoid any lines even 1 hour before your scheduled visit time and you have to arrive 15 mins prior and bypass any line! Discounts are available on line Seniors Military Vets etc.
