I also love how it makes my skin feel. No alcohol/chemical dryness or greasy layer that I experience with cheaper chemically based products. If you're new to the product the team instore will walk you through your skin care routine and needs to make sure that you get what's right for you. As an added bonus they have little starter kits so you can try a small amount before shelling out your hard earned cash for larger quantities. This store also has a day spa which is a wonderful way to experience the products first hand. My recent visit to this store in Wintergarden was the first in 12 months (that's how long my 145ml moisturiser lasts!) and the lady serving me remembered me from my previous visit... a great memory and a great customer service experience for me. David, one of the creators of the line, was in the store when I walked in. It's obvious that he is genuinely flabbergasted by what some people put on to their skin, and given the fact that he was previously a Naturopath and has extensive experience in clinical skin nutrients research, I trust that he knows his stuff! He knew every ingredient of every product and their benefits. The products are all natural in every sense, and I left the store convinced that this has got to be the legitimate skin care pitch I have heard. I also left with a few generous sized testers to try at home, and so far the results have been great. If you are passionate about healthy skin without applying any horrible chemicals to your face, then I highly suggest you take a trip to Simplicité. The prices are on par with the designer skin care you would buy in a department store, but is tried, tested and made locally, so why not support it and give your skin a helping hand at the same time.

I decided to put my faith in In Therapy in Brisbane's Red Hill in the hope they'd restore my trust and give me the neat and tidy brows I so longed for after a rather disastrous brow wax some two months ago. With the growing out finally done it was time to put myself back on the market, so to speak. Their service menu claimed they "specialise in fabulous brows" and I eagerly set off to see just how fabulous my brows would be. I'm greeted by my technician and ushered into a therapy room and it's not unlike any other brow waxing experience of the past 12 or more years. Before long my technician has spent some 20 minutes working her magic on my brows and when I see them in the small hand mirror she provides to me I am proud to say, "Why yes, don't you two look fabulous." Back in their trim and tidy shape I happily pay $24 for the experience. Of course, brows isn't the only treatment In Therapy offers. They are a full-service beauty salon offering massage, facials, spray tan, mani and pedis. Perhaps the best thing that my sensitive skin praised them for was their use of organic strawberry wax. There was no extremely redden skin afterwards or strange looks from onlookers as I walked back to the office. With this being my second visit to In Therapy (the previous for a file and polish of the ol' fingernails) I can say that each time I walk in I feel instantly calm and like I'm away from the hustle of city life. I can't wait to go back and try more from their service menu. The lesson: sometimes it is good to branch out, try something new. Who knows what might happen? I think I've just found a brow spot to go steady with....

It was my birthday and I booked for a Decadence for the feet pedicure and every staff member that I crossed paths with wished me a happy birthday, I felt like an old friend, not just a new client. The visit started by changing into a robe and slippers, now I am a fluffy guy robe's usually don't fit, but that wasn't the case here, the robe fitted perfectly. Then I was taken to a relaxation room where I got to chill and relax even before the treatment started. Being my birthday there were three of us getting pedi's, and despite the chatter between us when it came to the hot stone massage we all fell silent and drifted to an almost comatose state of bliss. I have to say having pedicures are the ultimate luxury experience for me and I've been around awhile and had a few over my time and I can say that I have never had a more luxurious pedicure in my life!! Just when I thought it couldn't get better because it was my birthday we were given a glass of champagne and chocolates. This place offers the wow factor on so many levels. If I just could have managed to keep my head up. It started out as usual - a locker room visit, a silky robe, and short wait in the lounge before I was led to my treatment room. From there it was 2.5 hours of bliss, all in one room, all with one therapist. This was definitely more of a relaxation massage, and though I mentioned it a few times, it was a little light for my liking... but at that point I was too relaxed to let it bother me. It certainly wasn't a cheap pampering session, but if you're looking to spoil someone rotten, this is definitely your place. Hydrated and velvety doesn't even begin to describe how my body felt afterward and after a beautiful tea in the lounge to round off the experience, I was ready to take over the world (perhaps right after a long nap).
