In my process of sourcing more details about the nuances for a USDA loan, I found reference to NACA on a social media site. Their mortgage process sounded almost too good to be true. No down payment, no closing costs, no mortgage insurance, and a lower interest rate than the current market? It was beyond what I was hoping for and, although I'd heard it can be long and tedious, I could see the worth. I started my application on 4/27/2025, completed the education process over the following weekend and was able to get an intake appointment scheduled for 5/9/2025. After discussing my situation with my counselor and providing all documentation needed, I was able for qualify for more than initially approved through traditional methods! This means I can actually buy a home closer to my kid's school in Chandler. PLUS I feel thoroughly supported in the process, well informed, and excited for the next steps! 5 Stars... because Copper State Credit Union Is Basically My Ride-or-Die Bank…read more Let me start by saying: I've been with this credit union since before Copper State was Copper State. Canyon State Credit Union, circa 2002 or 2003... that's when baby-adult me signed up. I'm 41 now. You do the math. (Actually, don't. I don't need the existential crisis.) So anyway, I walk into the branch today and the line is looking like Costco on a free-sample Saturday. I glance at the time and realize: oh, they're probably on lunch. Only one teller holding down the entire financial fort. And honestly? Respect. They're human. They gotta eat just like the rest of us feral, hungry customers. I take a seat, mind my business, and wait. Now, I had a very specific problem involving bank statements from over a year ago because Copper State switched systems and apparently my personal talent in life is needing things banks normally side-eye you for requesting. I finally get up to the teller and make a comment about how wild it must be dealing with people this time of year. And she, with a smile, and not a hint of sarcasm, goes: "Oh, I think it's fun!" Ma'am. WHAT. You actually enjoy this chaos? I immediately loved her. She helps me out with exactly what I asked for... and then I realize I need more. Of course I do. So I go back in. And she helps me again. With zero annoyance. Zero judgment. Just pure "I got you." Energy. She even ended up staying past her lunch by like 20 minutes (I'm so sorry, queen) because I kept remembering new things I needed. Then after she left, I STILL needed something else... something I honestly thought was beyond what they'd ever be able to pull. But Copper State said, "Watch this," and came through like the financial fairy godmother I never knew I had. They made my entire freaking day. I will admit: over the years, they've downsized locations. But listen... If you're worried about that, look into sister branches. Credit unions play a much cleaner game than some banks I won't name but absolutely want to. Copper State has never done me dirty...not in 19+ years. So yeah. Five stars. A billion stars. Infinite stars. This is my bank for life.

So I went inti this location a couple days ago to close out my IRA per their request. While doing…read moreit, I was interviewed by the banker what I wanted to do (Rollover Check) and we were crystal clear. I went to my main bank and they said that the check was filled out incorrectly and wasn't for a roller over. So I had to come back. When I came back they said they couldn't do anything for me because I signed a form to accept the check and they washed their hands of me. The reason we left this CU is because since they merged they have been lacking what the prior bank had, professionalism and courtesy. Please do your homework and read all of the reviews!!!!!
