While they sometimes have staffing issues, like most companies these days, they are usually pretty good about getting you in and out in a reasonable time. I am one who is fortunate to have good veins, so the staff usually has no trouble finding one for a good draw. I can't say I've observed them having too much trouble with other clients, either, unlike the center I used to go to in California. Staff is pretty friendly, in general, though some in the pre-screen area could be a little more vocal. Their pay scheme is about the same as other centers, on a monthly basis, but is really only worth it if you go twice a week. The first time in a week is only $20, and the second is $80 currently (with occasional bonuses). Hardly worth it if you are only able to go once a week. CSL's monthly schedule $40-40-40-40-50-50-50-50(or whatever it is now) is much more equitable for the weekly donor, but I prefer the schedule of Biomat in California I went to which was $35 for the first donation of the month, increasing $5 each time, with occasional $20 bonuses for two in a week, donating on a holiday, etc. Still a great tax-exempt extra income, plus helping out those in need.

One thing i wish all plasma centers would do is to have donors stuck in the order they were sat. At all centers I've donated at they will sit you and then others get sat after you in a different bay but get stuck first, which is frustrating. If all the bays worked together i think that would be helpful to ensure donor satisfaction. The staff however is always super friendly and welcoming and I LOVE that you answer your donor questions online via an app vs at a kiosk. Overall so far I'm very happy here! Taking my pay from 215 to almost $100 less. I drive 1hr 15mins one way to the place and they ask for confirmation of address and contact info every time you give yet DIDNT contact me to tell me something they knew after my last donation. It's bait and switch tactics, promising and confirming my last visit that I would get a certain amount then having me drive all the way to the place before telling me they are NOT paying what they said I would make on this visit. I've been stuck and had giant hematomas where my arm is bruised black and blue by this place, They messed up pay previously several times. Basically this place should shut down. They have poor policies, poor phlebotomists, terrible client care, poor professionalism and actually glad to not have to deal with them anymore. Save yourself the trouble and go ANYWHERE ELSE. I assure you that you will have problems here. They do not care. Understand that first and foremost.

The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and they work hard to keep things moving. The employees there now are so great together. I've noticed their sense of teamwork and professionalism. Especially Christian. He was connecting me on a machine and told his coworker he was going to take the other guy down next, nothing unusual, but you just feel the sense of teamwork. I also like Ms. Peggy, the lady with beautiful silver hair. She is so sweet. Whoever the supervisors are, they are doing a wonderful job. It's a good environment to be in.

The doctors were informative and kept in contact with us. The CVICU nurse was incredibly knowledgeable and caring. At one point I was as turned around after going to the cafeteria (which is a great too) and stopped a staff member who was so polite and made sure I was as able to get back to the unit I needed. The valet staff is quick and thankful as well!

The Red Cross now has Netflix so I was able to watch whatever I wanted to on Netflix during my two hour appointment. They offered me blankets during my donation in case I got cold. Once my donation was complete, I went off to the canteen for snacks. The snacks were great, and a welcomed treat after being still for so long. I'll stick to whole blood in the future, but if I was eligible to donate platelets again I'd consider it for certain.
