He had to push GP Motors to replace the tires before we were willing to move forward with the purchase, and we were assured the TPMS issue would also be fixed. After buying the vehicle, we spent an entire day waiting for that repair, only to find that the TPMS light was still on. On our first drive home, we began discovering other issues that should have been identified before the vehicle was ever offered for sale. There was a clunking noise and broken glass in the trunk. The interior had clearly not been properly cleaned or detailed. It smelled heavily of cigarette smoke; the steering wheel was coated in thick black residue and sticky to the touch. We ultimately spent more than $100 detailing the vehicle ourselves. We've made multiple trips from Salt Lake back to GP Motors in an effort to get these concerns addressed. Each time, we were told they would make things right, yet little to no progress was made. Eventually, we were referred to JD Tire, who was far more helpful and are working to fix the issues. JD Tire found that both CV axles are bad, leaking axle seals, and dirty transmission fluid. Given the number and condition of these issues, it is difficult to believe the vehicle underwent a thorough inspection before being sold. Had my boyfriend not purchased the warranty, we likely would be responsible for paying out of pocket for problems that clearly existed at the time of purchase. Which brings to me GP Motors' decision to process these repairs through our warranty, despite the fact that the problems existed before the sale and should have been corrected beforehand. Initially, we were told GP Motors would cover only the $100 deductible. After I posted a negative review, manager Khrisitan sent my boyfriend a text that came across as rude and unprofessional rather than focusing on resolving the situation. The following day, my boyfriend was told GP Motors would still cover the deductible, but that we would be responsible for $250 in additional costs, including a diagnostic fee and a transmission drain-and-fill service. My boyfriend pushed back again, saying it wasn't fair that we have to cover those costs. Later they texted him again to say they would cover the diagnostic fee after all, but we would still be responsible for the transmission service. In that text, the manager stated that the salesperson claimed the vehicle had been cleaned and test-driven before being sold and that no issues were found. Based on the condition of the vehicle when we took possession, we find that difficult to believe. The strong smoke odor and residue throughout the interior, the sticky steering wheel, and the broken glass in the trunk suggested otherwise. At the end of the day, we are still being asked to pay out of pocket for issues that existed when the vehicle was sold. We have had to repeatedly push for even partial assistance instead of seeing GP Motors proactively take responsibility for the condition of the vehicle. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from GP Motors. Get everything in writing, have the vehicle independently inspected before signing any paperwork, and do not rely on verbal promises. Based on our experience, GP Motors failed to properly prepare this vehicle for sale and has not handled the resulting issues fairly. We would not purchase a vehicle from them again.

We have had the worst experience trying to get a construction loan with our loan officer at the Kaysville branch. We turned in all our papers, cost break downs, building profile, w2, tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, ect. On June 10th 2019. Appraisal wasn't done until end of July. They asked for w2, tax returns, bank statements, pay stubs again end of August. She kept telling us we were going to close the following week. She told us we were good to start lining up our contractors, she said we could even dig our hole because we were going to close in 3 days. We dug our hole for our house and then she told us that we needed more things for the loan. We jumped through every single hoop from refinancing cars, to putting money in cash reserves, signing contingencies. We were strung along from June 10-October 30. That is 142 days! that is almost 40% of our year! that is almost 5 months of being told: "We are closing next week!" and then it never happens. She even had us submit our first draw. The loan officer said that 3/4 loans she was on have been declined. Ours was the 4th and it was pending. They said they wanted our builder to take out a second mortgage on his house just in case we go over budget. This was after we put money in a cash reserve, have 20% down on the loan, and all the other hoops we jumped through. We finally just pulled the plug. I would suggest looking somewhere else before Golden west for a construction loan. I had another friend try and go through Golden west. They told her 3 weeks for the whole process. So she tried to move forward; after 5 weeks of nothing happening she moved on to America First and is already have a heck of a better time. If I had 3 words to describe our experience with Golden West it would be: Ambiguity, dishonest, and inconsistent. Never in a million year recommend trying to get a construction loan through Golden west.

They seem to be expanding, and I haven't found it difficult to locate a nearby branch, no matter where I am along the Wasatch Front. Their E-services have greatly improved as well. Online banking is better, and they offer the convenient service of e-depositing checks, now. Their rates still aren't the most competitive... But like I said, when compared to other local Credit Unions, I'd peg GWCU as the best.
