My extensions last a good six weeks before I need to get them re-done. I always get the Queen Set and Alannah completely customizes the lashes for you - through a couple of visits and experimentation on my part, we decided on alternating 11 and 12 length eyelashes in a C curl, my ideal lashes. So many salons don't ever give you a choice of what you want, they just slap whatever product they've got on you. She also packs in as many lashes as possible so the effect is truly transforming and somehow still very natural. She's also great to talk to and very personable, making the entire experience very relaxing and comfortable. I should've spoken up but I didn't. I think that the majority of the problem was that the stylist was chatting the entire time with someone else that worked there. She was not paying enough attention to me and hurt me. I contacted the manager who wanted me to return and was only willing to give me that one session on the house. I told her that that wasn't good enough for me and that I wanted my package refunded because I didn't feel comfortable going back. I never heard back after that phone call or the email I sent the company after the fact. In short, I would say proceed with caution. Make sure the person is paying attention and that they show you their markings before they start Threading. I did have one great treatment there but with the horrible customer service and terrible experience being cut in multiple places, I won't be going back. They should have handled this better. I had my nail polish on from before so it was an extra 10 dollars to get it taken off. That was fine, and they file it down instead of using nail polish remover. No chemicals! The only thing that I wasn't okay with was that the nail file was mandatory to purchase, so it's a hidden extra $1.50. Although inexpensive, there was no choice whether or not we wanted to purchase it and that didn't sit well with me. It's been almost 2 weeks since the shellac manicure and although they have not chipped and are still very shiny, I noticed that when my nails were buffed to prep for the shellac, it was buffed not very close to my cuticles at all. When if was finished it looked like I had already had those nails for more than a week because of how far up the shellac was. After two weeks, despite the shellac still looking good, I can't wait to get it removed and have them done properly. Overall the experience was decent and we had some nice conversation with the nail technician. The shellac is long lasting. However the inattention to detail and the hidden fees with the nail file will make me look for another salon to return to.
