I have always wanted to try microblading, but was so scared that it wouldn't turn out well and I would be stuck. But I was so tired of drawing my brows on and never getting them right, hiding behind bangs and always worrying my brows looked ridiculous or would smudge off, so this year I finally decided to take the leap and just do it. I did a lot of research and when I found Rhea, I had a good feeling about her. Through our email correspondence, she made me feel very safe and secure and seeing her previous work sealed the deal for me - I knew she was the one. When I showed up at my appointment, Rhea was sweet and welcoming, and very professional. She guided me through every step and took so much time getting the right shape for me. I am extremely picky, a major perfectionist, and that didn't bother her at all - she was happy to spend as much time as needed to create the perfect shape that I was happy with. I wanted a thin, very natural shape and Rhea created a custom shape that was absolutely perfect! She was fun and conversational throughout the appointment, and the environment felt very safe and chill, a very calming and peaceful experience. The process was easy and smooth, and Rhea works fast! When she wiped the pigment away to reveal my new brows I got tears in my eyes because I had never seen myself like that, with truly real looking brows in a perfect shape. I could not stop staring at them and I still can't! Everyone has been giving me compliments on my brows and I owe it all to Rhea! This service is a beauty service, but it extends beyond that and in my case has been so helpful for my mental health as well, because it removes so much stress and anxiety from my life and makes me feel so much more confident. The shop is located upstairs, on Port Moody's high street. The shop is very clean and the staff very professional. After signing a waver form we got to choose which flat back studs we wanted. You get a basic stud with the appointment, for a few bucks more you can get some other. One of the rules is that you're allowed to have 1 person in the room with you (for support if you need it), due to the size of the room. Everything was new and sterile. Libby was great in letting us know what to expect and what we would be feeling. My niece who was pretty nervous didn't even feel the first piercing. After both ears were done, she came out saying she barely felt it. I'm so proud of her! My helix looks great! So happy we had gone here. After all was done and paid, Libby had given us information for the proper and healing of our piercings. What to expect and what not to do, super informative.
