Hard to believe a financial institution that is good on customer service is so poor at protecting the money of the customers. While refunds did happen quickly there have been no changes to procedures or protections put into place to protect you from fraud/embezzlement. We have been victims of check fraud with this branch multiple times where checks with no information on me or the bank is shown, but the routing number was to my account. No fail safe to review the check, no fail safe for large funds, no fail safe to review check details, nothing. Given the accuracy of the efforts it is hard to be certain if this is an inside issue or external and the bank won't discuss anything or advise to any changes being made. Ultimately the only option was to move funds or lock accounts. Others in Oregon City should be aware as this is likely a wide spread issue and they are just hoping to hide from the situation. I removed an earlier post from two weeks ago in hopes we would get something to help us feel safe with this location, alas nothing. Be wary with your funds and i suggest seeking out any other financial institution. Both fraud cases involved losses of over $40,000. If i don't say something, then i am just a part of the problem in a community. Watch out! read more

The last place I want to receive conflicting information from is a bank. I was told one thing and then go in today it was a whole different story. l have been a member for a long time before they were OnPoint. But it appears it may be time to part ways. There seems to be lots of people working here but most of the time there is only 1 teller and a line. Looking around the others are visiting in cubicles and not paying attention. I would say more customer service and attention to detail is needed. read more

I sought a small loan during a tough business slowdown, providing proof of past income and repayment history (over $85,000 via PayPal loans), but was denied twice--first outright, then with an unreachable co-signer requirement. As a self-employed member serving my community, I expected the member-focused service credit unions promise, especially given my long tenure and good standing until recent challenges. Instead, they ignored my full financial picture and offered no alternatives. The process felt impersonal, and their response to my request for a second review was dismissive, even after a medical procedure added to my stress. This isn't the community support I signed up for. I'm switching to a credit union that values its members. Proceed with caution if you're in a pinch--they prioritize profits over people. read more

Rude staff and they act like customers are an annoyance!! They are not helpful and apparently most of them have graduated from the school of; "I'm better than you and your a pesky annoyance and your ignorant!" my wife and I own a roofing company, and we decide to open accounts for the business and kids, so after a 4 months of having ac there, they decide to cancel or cards because we were using to much money everyday, they worse is that every time my wife go and deposit and take money out they give my wife the faces and treat my wife like if she was committing a crime, we feel very descriminate by one specific lady, that I will share her name if need it. we close account and went to different bank. i will never recommend onpoint credit union in oregon city. read more

We live in the area,I went in once to talk about starting an account with them,and ended up not doing so, just a meh feeling. However,we do use the ATM machine there. A few days ago,the .machine ate my husband's card. He went in to see if they could help him. The person was incredibly rude,nasty and unpleasant, and extremely unhelpful. After working all night,it was a pretty wretched way to start/end the day. Whatever happened to being courteous, or even civil? I will tell all my friends and family to avoid this place of business like the plague!! Because that is how he was treated and meant to feel like. The customer service is great! Everyone is so pleasant, and efficient in there role. I love OnPoint.

I never write reviews but signed up just to say how awful they are here, I signed up with on point because they are close to home and I liked the idea of a credit union. Don't fall into the same mistake I did, I have had nothing but problems and if they have to do anything don't expect to see it happen. My recommendation is to find someplace else the rates here are high as well, i will be finding someplace new ASAP. read more

Love onpoint! The company I work for has had an account with them for years, and never any issues. I see the ladies in there about twice a week because I take the deposits, and every time I walk in, they are always all super sweet, very helpful, and have such great customer service. Was calling this Credit union today and waited approx. 20 minutes for a person to answer! I wanted to call the branch that I would bank at, I learned that ALL CALLS are routed to a call center instead! This is NOT for us! Not personal banking at all. They do NOT have the proper staff for their customers. I talked to the supervisor and she said Mondays are like that. They should staff the proper amount of people! We are totally TURNED OFF from this Credit union. They act like it's a privelege to talk to someone at your branch on the phone! SOOOOO LONG On Point! read more

big mistake to change banks to on point!! i have had it with on point credit union!!!! it's very frustrating when you cant access your own money in your checking account!! going through a remodel spending sometimes a couple $1000 in a day for materials and my debit card will decline it!!! wtf i have never had a bank put a limit on my own money!! who wants the embarrassment of going to home depot and getting declined and then having to sit on the phone for 20 minutes so i can get approval to use my own money!!! i am established with great credit i do not understand these practices!!! this has been happening for 2 months and im done!!! going back to us bank never had a problem accessing my own cash!!!!!! god for bid i go on vacation i would be screwed!!! read more

Nice clean facility, friendly and helpful people. Convenient location, for me at least, and ATMs all over the place. This and most CU's are part of a coop that allows you to use not just OnPoint's ATM's but all other CU's and even some US Bank ATM's without fees. Higher interest rates for my accounts are a nice perk. read more
