This bank has held me down and given me chances to be a young adult (with the commiserate screw-ups that come with living and learning). Even through bankruptcy at one point, I kept fighting with my lawyer that I was NOT including my accounts with USACU (now Forrit) as that would ban me from membership. It was a fantastic option for a young 20something learning the ropes of financial stability, but I didn't do more than try to keep money in the bank and pay off my credit card every month. Then our 1999 beater kicked the bucket. My partner and I knew it was going to happen eventually and we would have to get some sort of car. Both of us were attracted to the idea of driving an electric car so we went into the Sellwood branch to ask for our options. We were helped by Brittany K and she was an absolute dream. Student loans can be crippling and we were really concerned we wouldn't even be approved for a loan! Brittany advocated for us all the way and we approved! If you've read this far, this is where the *above and beyond* customer service starts. We were in negotiations to buy a Nissan Leaf through an online dealer. We had a $250 hold down on the car and we're about to sign papers! After a bunch of back and forth between the dealer and Brittany, she let us know that the dealer wasn't actually able to even prove they owned the title to sell legally! She then went out of her way to find us a simmilar car with a reputable dealer Unitus trusts! We ended up loving the other car way more than the shifty dealer and my partner and I are fighting over who gets to drive it! None of this would have been possible without Brittany's help she really went to bat for us. I highly recommend Unitus to anyone who is just starting out and might not be savvy enough to negotiate predatory lending/financial situations.

Do not use TwinStar in 2025 or beyond. Terrible decline in quality of services and massive decline in customer care since the merger. It's not an uncommon occurrence to be belittled by staff nowadays. Olga from account solutions deserves to lose her job immediately. She is very unprofessional and rude, bad energy all around. Never once have I been belittled and argued with by my credit union. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from TwinStar.

Called my bank worried that my card locked up since I was trying to download a few different cash apps and local wi-fi was being crazy so my account might have gotten pings to it. My credit union checked all the things and said they felt the ATM was sketchy so I needed to go to an approved ATM. They sent me to this credit union. WOW.... back seedy roads and the branch is seemingly VERY dark as I got there after sunset. I kept thinking at the irony that my bank was concerned at me taking money out at a well lit busy spot but here, go through the woods out there in the dark. At least I was able to get money out and now I now that if I am in Vancouver again...there is an ATM machine here that works.

Original family member had an account and auto loan from this dishonest money grubbing thieves. Original family member couldn't afford loan anymore. So we talked to this place, but we couldn't get a loan from this place to take over that loan. So Family had to take out a loan from a different long time trusted credit union for the vehicle payoff amount. The banks had talked to each other. The check for vehicle payoff amount was sent Thursday. Come this morning, the car is gone. We called the police, thinking it was stolen. Bank wouldn't tell us anything initially, but finally was told it was repossessed. Then to get it back, they needed even more money than the payoff amount. But until they get the money, the payoff amount plus what more money they want, we are without a vehicle. I've dealt with car dealerships that were more honest and didn't swindle more money out of you. I'm sure they will used their scripted response to this review. No need. Don't go here for any of your banking needs. Update: They still hadn't told our bank we were using how much more money they wanted. Plus instead of waiting 2-3 days to get their money, They were instead going to keep it for 15 days. We would have to pay tow fee and storage fees for everyday it was at the tow lot even though they were the ones not releasing it. So our bank cancelled the check that was in the mail for this bank to receive. They can keep the car. Again think twice before going here.
