I have spent considerable time to have their accounts reactivated, but it seems to take an act of congress to have them turned back on. Run.....Trust me, grab your money and run. I went in today to deposit cash from my garage sale. There are no longer tellers. They made me use the ATM to deposit. The ATM only accepts 50 bills at a time. It took me 35 minutes to make the deposit. They do not value your time or mine. I just took all of my money and went to OnPoint. You should too. They have a few live people in there working on loans and such that can take your cash, however you have to wait an hour to see them or make an appointment. I started an account there in 1992. It's a bummer. I guess this is what I needed since they also use their members money(they claim to be member owned/non-profit) to support DRAG shows for the OC Children's theater and children. No more recognition, no more getting a treat for your dog in the drive through. They have decided that privacy and customer service are no longer necessary. I have been a member for over 30 years. I had been a member for over 40 years. I moved to another town and called them about 1 month ago to close out my account. I called them today and was told that the other person never finished required paperwork. Several times , in the last 10 years, these young women have made many mistakes and screw ups. One teller couldn't make change for a $100 bill. WTH? It was a good place to do business. Now, these employees don't have a clue about their jobs. Glad I'm leaving them. They locked my account and it has been over a month now. I cannot get to any of my savings and it is really screwing me over here and they don't care. My direct deposits are bouncing back. My auto pays are not going through. I don't have another account and never wanted my account frozen to begin with! They lied multiple times about how long it would take to unfreeze it. I have been livid over this and nothing has been done. I just keep getting told to wait longer and longer. CFCU , you've really let me down and made my life miserable. Clackamas federal credit union used to be great I was with them for over 30 years and several loans. When They changed to Embold they apparently changed more than their name. Their integrity is horrible. They lie and then ask you to please pay for their for there mistake but don't worry it was a great learning opportunity for them but you have to pay for their mistake first. I was in yesterday 3-9-2022 and waited in line for 25 minutes. All I needed was to cash two checks that should of only taken 1 minute at the most. The workers seemed to be in no hurry to help out. The change to Embold is beyond sad. First the logo design is a full copy of the Portland Timbers and not unique. The personal banking for a credit union is gone. It's cold and uninviting now at the Canby location, they have some weird reception table inside the doors and then you are sent to a computer to deal wirh someone working remotely and live on a video. Talk about losing the personal touch they had as Clackamas Credit Union. I loved the personalized experienced they offered before, the changes they have made are not customer friendly or positive. I opened up an account and had fraud, they decided it wasn't and stripped me of my debit cards and didn't tell me why.. worst bank ever!!

I have a loan through them for my motorcycle. I had it insured through Harley Davidson. The insurance company apparently requires me to own my house or they won't insure you. They stopped my insurance without notifying me. Clackamas found out before I did of course and tacked $320 on my loan for the month it was stored in my garage during January! Winter time! Cmon! I called them and they were just rude and garbage people! read more

I've had accounts at other banks, too, but there's just never been one that's as good. CFCU offers it all, integrates it all together, and provides great customer service to boot. I've got a number of personal and business accounts, and I'm able to track and transfer among them all at any location, online or over the phone. Online account access is free, and their interest rates are comparable if not better than any other bank I've seen. Plus, they're opening another location even closer to me soon. I have been doing business with CFCU since i was a child when my parents enrolled us as a family. I have NEVER had a bad experience there. On the occasion a teller does not know the answer to a situation they sought help. If a mistake was made it was corrected immediately! All the professionals there have always done a wonderful job meeting my needs with the upmost personal experience and treat you like family. if I could give this bank negative stars I would. been banking with them for personal and business for around 6 years now, I have been depositlong the same checks into both accounts for the same amount of time. I opened up another personal account and deposited a check (that has been deposited from before into my joint account) into that new account (which is the only difference) and now they have locked my accounts, saying all of a sudden it's a fraud check. been locked down for a week now both business and personal. impending my ability to provide for my family and run my business. Emily (fraud director) and egnacio in the fraud department are a joke and think it's ok to talk over people during this and laugh at the situation. first they blamed this on the other bank but yet when proof has been shown and sent over the blame has changed to "well it's their policies". what kind of bank tells anyone how and when they can spend their money? if the proof is there then why lock down the accounts for another few days? don't bank here. read more

I have been a member for over 30 years. I used to get good service by competent people. No longer is the case. The current employees have half-brains and screw up on a regular basis. No one knows what the other is doing. I plan on moving this year to another county. I don't plan on staying with CFCU. Obviously management is not keeping an eye on things and lets this crap happen. I had over 2000.00 in a savings account but because I had not touched it in over a year I found on my statement that I was charged $10.00 per month for the past 2 months in an inactivity fee. Really upset with the service. I've had an account with them since I was a kid. Just recently got a car loan with them too. They told me to start doing online banking because it's easier for everyone and then they charged me $5.00 each time I transferred money from m accounts. They will randomly take out weird amount of money from my savings account and they then tell me "they don't know where it went". That's not something I should hear from the bank about my money. My husband and I have been members of Clackamas Federal Credit union along with Bank of America. We did business with this Credit Union and was so impressed with the two employees that helped us - Katie Gillespie and Stacey Webster. Very rarely do we see people that give customer service like this anymore. They were so efficient with our business needs! We have had checking/savings and many loans here over the last 20 years, but after going through a divorce and bankruptcy, they were the worst people to work with. When asking for revised payment plans they jacked up the interest rate to 18% and than after getting another loan to pay the car loan off they havent sent the title 4 weeks after paying it off. If you know you will never have a financial issue they may be fine, but who knows what life brings. I would try First Tech Credit Union over Clackamas. read more

So many problems at this bank! Terrible customer service. They've charged me $100 in international wire fees because I had an employer in China who wasn't able to do an ACH transfer because the bank's address had too many characters. When I disputed the charges, I was told "well the fees were in the agreement you signed." The online system is terrible. If you open more than one account, you have to create separate logins for each. You can't access your accounts from one page, and if you want to transfer money from one account to another, you have go into the bank in person. read more

The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the banker we worked with was friendly and helpful. We were looking to refinance a car and came across Clackamas. We reached out and told them the situation- which I admit, isnt ideal for refinancing or loan requesting. However, we were asking for literally 12% of our yearly income in a refinance and they assured us that they are a smaller bank and work with the people, not the just numbers. We had proof of income, proof of previous payments made for 2 cars, not just the 1 we were refinancing, and also had proof of payments made to other creditors they asked about. They dangled us on the idea that they would actually give us more than what we were requesting for the refinance, so that we could pay down a debt and help raise our credit. We asked if this was necessary and were told no, but that it would look better to the underwriters. So we said ok. Weeks went by and they still could not make a decision. We were on a time frame since the car we were trying to refinance was in a deceased's name and the finance company was getting impatient and was threatening to reposes the car. In the end, we had to purchase a new car and were unable to keep the car we had almost paid off. To some this may not seem like a big deal, but we feel like Clackamas dangled the possible and more than likely chance of getting a loan from them if we "showed the underwriters the income and payments" and instated had to make a haste decision to purchase a new car with a higher interest rate and purchase price than the $6k we were trying to finance. They then suggested that we wait a few months and then ask them to refinance again. No thank you. I appreciated the banker's willingness to help, but I think it was incredibly inconsiderate for the underwriters to keep asking for things, which we provided, only to come back and say no. read more

I was in the process of possibly refinancing my home loan with Wells Fargo, and was told a HELOC was not an additional option due to my 650 credit score. Apparently at Wells Fargo 650 will qualify for an entire mortgage, but not a HELOC (they guy said 680 for that). I got cold feet, and decided to reach out to a credit union. Marisol Manselle listened to all my 1,000,000 questions, and we both decided a HELOC was a better option since my first mortgage is at 3% and rates have gone up recently. I applied for it, was approved, and then got my home appraised. The whole process, including the appraisal, was around $750 in fees (Wells Fargo was in the multiple thousands). My home appraised for 310 instead of Zillow's 330 "Zestimate", and Marisol still held the deal together (very slight bump in rate, which I understood). Now I have all my debt consolidated in to one payment and still have my original 3% mortgage. I'm expecting a windfall, so this makes sense as I can pay the HELOC back down and won't have a new 30 year mortgage at Wells. I wanted to say thank you to Marisol and honor her with a great review. I plan to use Clackamas Federal in the future as well. I have only every heard great things about this credit union, Dan. read more

I love CFCU. When I got my first job my dad took me in here to open an account and as long as I live here, this will be my bank. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and professional. Their website is easy to use and easy to access via my phone or my laptop. I've had my card info stolen twice (once at Target, once online) since I've had it and each time they were prompt and extremely dedicated to fixing the problem. I've never had a bad experience here and I can't recommend them enough. I'm actually excited to turn 21 so I can open up a credit card and start building a good score. read more

i have my car loan through this bank. if they didnt have a good credit rate and i needed such a small loan, i would not be with this bank. the girls at all the locations i have been to are rude and not friendly at all. they are not very informative at all and i literally had to ask 20 questions in order to get all the information i needed from them. when i was there to set up my checking account to get my loan, she forgot to give me my debit card and i had to ask to get it made... being in the customer service field myself, there is absolutely no customer service here. i can't wait until i am done paying off my loan so i don't have to bank here anymore. read more

I opened an account at CFCU several years ago because of the close location of a new branch. The staff at my local branch are friendly and efficient. Since I do most transactions online I refused paper checks when the account was opened. Last summer i added a new payee to my biilpay account and started sending online checks to a bank i do business with. One of the checks to the bank was never accounted for by the bank. After hours on the phone with the billpay company and the bank I discovered the billpay company had misslabeled the checks , the bank processed the check and it simply disappeared in their system. The bank now denies the transaction ever happened, the billpay company claims since the check was processed , there is no problem. The management of the credit union have no interest in the matter and no longer talk to me about the problem. I'm out $1000 and must deal with the bank on my own because of a mistake by their billpay company. What i have determined by all this is the billpay system promoted by CCFCU is a separate entity from the credit union. The credit union has no control or responsibility over online transactions. My recommendation is to use CCFCU for savings and regular checking, but never ever use their online billpay unless you have money you can afford to lose. read more

ESPECIALLY watch out for Karlyn, their Title Person, who took more than 6 weeks and still didn't file a Title document, so I COULDN'T DRIVE MY CAR. She gave nothing but lame excuses.
