I have been with Onpoint for 2 years now. My goals were not met as far as weight goes, but I take several medications that can cause weight gain. I also did not completely follow the diet, because of cravings I have. However, I have learned to eat much healthier. Now I have a lot of health issues going on, which were oncoming for quite some time. Shannon has been right there with me all the way. I do not even feel like (because of my illnesses, not because I don't want to) cooking now and she is looking at every angle to help me eat healthy. I have congestive heart failure, kidney transplant, diabetes, asthma, on home oxygen, bi-polar disorder, RLS, high bp, as well as other (my doctor listed 37 in her records). Shannon gives me anywhere from 3-5 priorities (that we agree upon) to work on for the week. Such as tracking, exercise (she always said pick a time you know you can ace, not something too hard for me). I currently am under-desk pedaling on the Cubii, which is not only for handicapped like me, but for wherever you are at physically. I also try one step on the stairs, and hand weights. These are good goals for me. (My doctors are surprised I exercise! They say most of their patients don't). She texts me 1-2 times a day and says, how are you doing today or something like that; how did you do track yesterday? Did you reach the goals you set? (I can also tell her to back off some, but I like the extra accountability) Shannon makes me feel like I'm the only one she is counseling! lol She is a very positive person. I can text anytime and Shannon usually answers back as soon as she can, except weekends. I talk to her two times a week for I feel I need the accountability. At first the "diet" can be seemingly overwhelming, but you learn quickly of how to count the foods. You don't have to be perfect! In other diets counting calories or points or whatever, I felt I had to be perfect. This one you don't, and you learn how to let that go. I never want to go back to the other. I tried, and always come back to Shannon lol Shannon is a vegetarian, but she helps me pick out lean proteins, such as chicken, turkey and fish; and, of course, veggies and fruits! :D I They have yummy recipes; resources and cheat sheets (to help you know what kind of groceries/foods to buy to take some of the "guess work" out. Also, resources for other health concerns. The program is costly, but worth it. I mean you have a real dietician in your back pocket! read more

I wanted a healthy, flexible weight loss plan that would apply to my everyday life. OnPoint provides that option, with an array of choices within the various food groups. It's empowering. As you make your choices, you find what works best for you. For instance, for me, though pancakes and nuts are permitted, I do better when I steer clear of them. And foods that aren't on the list can be added using a formula. (Trader Joe's breakfast patties are a mainstay for me.) OnPoint offers bars that sound delicious and can be incorporated into your program, but I opted not to use them as I wanted to focus on mainstream foods. The nutritionist you're assigned -- mine is Annie -- initially determines the number of daily servings from each group you can have. As you journey along, if you reach a plateau, she may modify your plan to help you along. In my case, though my lifestyle is sedentary, the plan is enabling me to lose weight and feel much more sane about food. I didn't think I'd like keeping a food log, but I actually look forward to noting what I've eaten and seeing what choices I have left to eat that day. The logs, saved in Dropbox, also allow your nutritionist to see the choices you're making and give you helpful observations. Annie saw that one day I hadn't eaten at snacktime, and she told me the importance of eating every few hours, which I didn't know. I like OnPoint's convenient accent on technology. Skyping with Annie twice a week instead of physically going to an office is great, as is knowing that if I have any questions in between our sessions I can email her and she'll reply in a timely manner. The program is not cheap, and you need to commit for a period of time. It was worth it to me, since good health and feeling good about yourself are priceless and I was tired of having food rule me to a large extent. Moreover, if your first instinct is to quit after a week and go crazy eating again, knowing you've committed financially is a good initial leash until you get settled into the plan. I started with OnPoint in July of 2015 with the intent of trying to get down 30 pounds. I met with Britney twice a week for two months to try to get me to my goal. Every single meeting was more fun and informative than the last. I have never thought that i would enjoy getting chewed out because of my terrible eating habits but Britney makes sure that she is extremely professional and personable as she can be. I lost 20 pounds before having to cancel my subscription due to a medical issue and unfortunately fell short of my goal of 30 pounds lost. Obviously, this issue had nothing to do with the service provided my OnPoint. Fast forward to March of 2016, I am starting to hate how I look in the mirror again so I began dieting. I used the knowledge that I gathered with the first stint of counseling and I was able to lose 10 pounds in a month. I began to plateau so I decided to give Britney a shout. After one meeting I was back on the wagon and losing weight again. I am now down 20 pounds and only 10 away from my original goal. Not only has Britney encouraged me to eat healthy, but her continued efforts and encouragement has lead me to doing my own research to make better decisions for myself. I am finally lifting again regularly, eating how I am suppose to (most days) and finally feeling happy to see how my body has changed. I started 5 weeks ago with OnPoint Nutrition. At first I found it difficult to eat so frequently. It took determination to finish all the food potions. I later learned that healthy foods are more satisfying than empty calories and that's why it seemed like a lot. I was doubtful about losing weight when consuming so much and yet I lost on average 1 lb per week steadily since I started the program. Starting the first week, I felt I had more energy. I was more positive. My mood improved. Everyone was telling me I looked healthier, and I felt much better overall. My usual aches and pains diminished. I have been working with OnPoint Nutrition for 24 weeks and have not only lost 55 lbs a healthy way, but have had a great time doing it. I tried so many plans before OnPoint to lose weight and keep it off, and I always gained everything I lost back, plus more! I would take extreme measures that obviously worked, because they were extreme, but not sustainable at all. OnPoint educated me on how to properly eat, and when to eat my foods. Josie has been frikkin' awesome! I joined OnPoint around 4/2016 to learn how to eat better. I've been battling with my diet and weight for 2 years and I was finally able to lose and keep off 10lbs thanks to Josie and OnPoint. I went from a diet of mozzarella fries and wine to a good balance of fruits, veggies, and proteins (and a little wine). Josie has been an awesome cheerleader, teacher, and disciplinarian. During our weekly virtual meets, she cheered me on when I was beating myself up for a crazy weekend.
