I will forever sing the praises of Onsite Workshop ! I attended the Healthy Love and Relationships workshop in May 2022 and it was life changing on so many levels. Before I attended, I actually had a number of correspondences with the office staff, who were very responsive via email and phone. I personally felt very cared for - the cabins were really nice, the food was great and there were always lots of snacks. I could tell the hospitality staff was trying their best to make guests comfortable. I think depending on your reason for coming to Onsite, that affected the kind of group you were placed in. I was placed in a co-ed group with an amazing therapist ! Most of the therapy done was experiential psychodrama. I can't speak for the other workshops, but the biggest proof of the Healthy Love and Relationships workshop's effectiveness is my husband who I met about a month after returning from Nashville ! There are not enough positive things that I can say about the Healing Trauma program at On-Site. As a reformed rager, who now signs my emails with Mahalo, and a life-long skeptic, I am now a believer and certainly Trust the Process. After attending the Aug 2022 Healing Trauma session, I have finally found a level of peace, safety, calmness, hope and power that I have never felt in my life. I have been in life-long survival mode with CPTS(R) and disparate physical reactions to trauma that have been ignored, misunderstood or misdiagnosed my entire life. Thankfully my concierge integrative physician in NYC identified all of my disparate symptoms and while treating me medically, she referred me to my EMDR therapist. Both of whom I have the upmost trust and respect, as they have changed my life for the better, forever. My EMDR therapist had attended another On-Site program and RAVED about it, but I had my doubts and innate skepticism. I never thought this program would be a panacea, but I also didn't believe I could feel any other way than I have for 39 years on this planet in habitual Survival Mode/Fight/Flight. I also firmly believed that my rage motivated me and made me successful, so I was hell-bent on keeping it for life. I arrived at On-Site hoping for the best, but bracing for the same. Since attending On-Site, I now have learned Power in Peace vs Rage. And it's a game-changer. My body has also been immediately reacting positively to the shift in energy / thought/ healing. And, I can say without a doubt that while there have been plenty of triggers across my life since my return home, I still have a sense of peace because now I know the conditions, rituals and practices I must maintain on a daily basis in order to keep my peace. It is precious and sacred and all mine to safeguard and hold onto for dear life. The 6 days at On-Site have been so life-changing and transformative that it has taken the heavy burdens off of my heart and mind, and has allowed me to "Let That Shit Go" personally and professionally. I've been able to focus on the practice of healing since returning, while understanding it's a process not a panacea. That alone has changed the way in which I now think about this journey. While I've been in EMDR therapy and practicing healing across all facets of my life for quite some time, my time at On-Site was THE BEST THING I EVER DID FOR MYSELF. And I thought I had been doing physical, mental, spiritual and intellectual growth and healing prior to my time at On-Site, but something magical happens there! I don't feel as alone in this world, as I have a new, different type of support system of people who are like me. And I cannot wait to reunite with them and come back for more On-Site programs on an annual basis. First the cost seemed astronomical, but once I was there, I realized it was actually priceless. Thank you, On-Site for empowering me to believe in the power of healing. Everything from soup to nuts is programmed with intention of healing through community: daily large group sessions, to housing assignments to smaller group breakouts, Guides and activities through out the day and night. DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN THE HANDS OF MILESTONES! IT ALMOST COST ME MINE. my last hope was Milestones. They promised so much and the first few days were transformative. I met wonderful souls who u could relate to and who understood mental trauma. I felt that I finally found the answer after 40 yrs of pain. However, I was suddenly called straight to the admissions office and told I was no longer welcome and to pack my bags and told you're going home. I said what? why? they said the first 45 min session with the onsite psychologist made him believe i was violent!??? How could that possibly be when i bought with my own disability money guitar strings for the facility and a chess board so my fellow sufferers could heal?? did they know i volunteer for free teaching foreigners their high school equivalency test happily? i asked you must be joking? nope. I said well do you so background checks? speak to three close friends, acquaintances before admission answer. no. well why then after I was booted did my psychologist call and the "doctor" who labeled me as incredulously violent said "well maybe I jumped the gun" no, maybe you almost cost me my life. I was absolutely shocked, felt cheated, and was driven to the airport and dropped on the curb to pay my own $600 flight home. the experience was so traumatizing it worsened my PTSD to the extent of contemplating suicide. My experience at Onsite was one of the greatest gifts I've given myself. I spent five days participating in the Experiential Training Institute at Onsite. Everything I experienced at Onsite was executed intentionally and with excellence. Most importantly, our Guide and Trainer, Sheila Maitland, was phenomenal. I was in a cohort of outstanding therapists and genuinely wonderful humans and with Sheila guiding us through therapeutic work, we both learned how to be better therapists but experienced the power of experiential work as we used our own lives and stories to do the work ourselves--learning through experiencing. The schedule was kind towards participants, allowing plenty of room for rest/personal preference. The campus is incredible, offering acres of space and countless opportunities to gather, whether inside the mansion near a fireplace or outside on one of the numerous porches. The attention to detail is next-level; the hospitality team thinks of everything and creates an environment that allows you tend only to the yourself and the work you need to do. The culinary staff is excellent--every meal was top notch. Onsite exceeded my expectations and I look forward to returning at my next opportunity. read more

I spent 45 days as a resident in the Milestones program and it was a great experience. I was terrified to go, having had a really bad experience with a SUD rehab previously. But after I got settled in I felt very safe. It is NOTHING like the standard rehabs are in terms of quality of facility and staff. The staff at every level has training and are so great with helping clients when they can and knowing when more help is needed. The milestones campus is essentially a large house with a great room/living room, activity room, small kitchen, and guest rooms. The dining hall is very nice and the food was great. The entire campus is beautiful. You are kind of in the middle of nowhere and it's the perfect place to be. I will say that while you have some down time you are working a lot of your time there, In a good way. There is a lot of opportunity to do the difficult work of getting to the root of your trauma/addiction etc. I will also say that yes, Milestones is expensive. I had to take a loan out on my house so I could go. It was absolutely worth it. I don't know where I would be right now had I not gone. read more

I was nervous to go and didn't know exactly what to expect, but the intentionality of the staff, therapist, and everyone involved really set an amazing tone and made me feel safe enough to be able to work through some trauma and other experiences talk therapy never addressed to the level this did. A truly groundbreaking and life changing experience for me. Financially, it took a long time for me to rationalize the commitment to go. But I am so glad I did. I encourage anyone considering going to be open minded and truly "trust the process." I did the individual intensive trauma program and was pleasantly surprised just how well these people do their jobs. Though not inherently obvious at first, everything is by design, and you will gain the most of your time when you "trust the process." Also, honorable mention to the chef + kitchen staff, the housekeepers, and all involved in "healing hospitality." The grounds were breathtaking and the rooms provided such a peaceful space. I attend a program called Dream Big by Bob Goff which was hosted at Onsite. The staff and the food of Onsite were beyond 5 starts. I would come back to Onsite for the kitchen staff alone. Dream Big on the other hand was "meh". If you get inspired from a guy telling you to "just go for it", than you'll love this workshop. If you need more than a redundant pep talk then I would skip this. I also would not recommend this workshop to women in general. 100% of the speakers were men, with zero perspective on what kind of obstacles a women might face in going for her dreams. Bob liked flight metaphors and told participants to "get on the runway and fly the plane". I kept thinking, "What if there are small children on the runway, should we leave them behind? Should we run them over?" Each and every presentation was given by a man, and addressed zero of my concerns about the uneven distributions of emotional and physical labor women take on in a household, and how the burden of this labor impacts our ability to have time or energy for anything else. The most useful was a conversation I had with Maria Goff (his wife) about how when Bob was off "Dreaming Big" while their kids were young she was so exhausted holding down the fort by herself she put out a help wanted sign outside of their house. Talking to her made me feel less crazy, and less bad about not having made more progress on my dream while being tied down by family responsibilities. Apparently when someone is taking care of your home and your kids it's easy to go for your dreams. As a mom of young children with an with a partner who controls and takes more than he gives I was going to need more than a pep talk to "Dream Big". The weekend had the feel of a high quality church camp. Which, if you've never been to church camp is quite magical. I've been to church camp, and didn't need a super expensive version of camp, I needed real practical steps. To any person thinking about going to Dream Big and ESPECIALLY WOMEN here's the things I wish I spent my money on instead: 1. Hiring a house cleaner 2. Hiring a career and/or writing coach 3. I was not sure what to think about an intensive, however, after a week at Onsite I was more than thankful we attended. The staff was caring, the work was powerful and intense. The staff cares so much about not just your experience but your care, healing, and post intensive care. I'm thankful for the the therapists, the staff, and the leadership of the team. Im a psychotherapist who has sent several patients to Onsite prior to covid and sent one in Jan 2024 for Trauma workshop and will not be sending any more patients. Onsite did not seem to read the material I sent them on my patient, put her into trauma workshop and then when she disociated, blamed her for being in a workshop instead of longer term residential. They did not tell my patient's group leader what I had written on her intake paperwork, and they didn't correct this even after my patient asked several times for them to do it. They sent me back a more damaged person in crisis and didn't communicate with me for 2 weeks, then had no idea what had actually happened in her treatment there. Heather the clinical director apologized and said they needed to improve but made excuses for not communicating with me for two weeks despite my calling them several times. I did receive an email from the group leader with "chart notes" that said nothing. My patient was disociated and suicidal while there and received no clinical support at night. I am making a complaint to onsite's Tenesee's licenseing bureau. Onsite is not keeping patients safe and is not providing the treatment they advertise. read more

I had a really great experience with lcp track. I was in a well run group with excellent facilitation and I felt safe to do as Intense if emotional work as I've ever done. I've been on plenty of therapy but norm long enough continuously to get to where we got to. The group and place was kept very very safe throughout the week which was important to me. Since leaving two months ago I've noticed some things have changed. It's in the small stuff. I bought a shower head and fixed the one in my bedroom that had been blasting me for three years. I had never even removed the old one from the shower shelf all that time. It's been a lot like that. More patient with my kids. And getting them out of the house to play with them a lot more as well. It's the little things that show the change to me. I'm far more focused at work as well. My head is clear and I'm able to just zoom and finish items and when I don't finish them it's a bookmark not a folder landing in a pile. Some of this stuff may seem minor considering the type of work I did in there but part my hope was that my life would be better. It is. Incidentally, I am a therapist who has training in the model of therapy used at onsite. I found their delivery to be absolutely amazing. They were Jedi. read more

Just left Onsite Living Centered Program a few days ago. The first two days I wasn't sure it was for me, but day three everything shifted. I finally discovered what I needed. I jumped in 100% and received the tools I need to help me live a more centered grounded life. LifeChanging moment of my life. Great support from my therapist and group. I went to Milestones for trauma and ultimately just got more trauma from the self-absorbed therapists. It's a waste of money guys. Don't be fooled by the decent overall rating; most of the positive reviews are for the short-term workshops, not the longer-term residential program called Milestones. Of my friends who also went there, two are dead, one at least in jail now. They don't really get to the bottom of anything. You would think that's the purpose of going away somewhere to stay--to get really intensive care and attention. However, somehow they barely scratch the surface, and the squeaky wheels are the only ones that get grease. It is a ton of group time, not much individual work. You get a decent psychoeducation and good times around the campfire, but for over $1,500 a day? Do an individual EMDR intensive instead. read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. First and foremost this place breached confidentiality, so if you want to spend your money, do it in a place less corporate where you can be around therapists that will actually advocate for you and protect you. It's around 30,000 for a summer camp experience filled with traumatizing psychodramas and blindfolded children's games. Days are filled with a myriad of the dumbest activities that, realistically, only one of said activities, will be positively influence your recovery- 2 if you're lucky. The staff is worthless-- The female therapist has no idea what she is talking about-- very under qualified and untrustworthy (doesn't matter if you don't trust your therapist because they won't let you switch). The only person they truly care about making happy is whoever is writing the check. It blows my mind that the 30 day inpatient was as much as it was. the staff are all old addicts--some of which never went to college, there is one psychiatrist on the payroll. Where the hell does the money go? Property upkeep most likely. Don't send people here for alcohol, depression, drugs-- nothing -- the overall unpleasant, traumatizing and backwards experience does far more harm than good. There's so much to say about this place, all negative. The last thing i will say is that they had a murderer that plead insanity sleeping 3 doors down from me. They didn't disclose any of this information, a major liability to every vulnerable person they are trying to "help" at onsite. Total fucking weirdos. Don't send your kids here. My advice: get individualized treatment. Every person is different and recovers at different speeds, in different ways. This place is not worth your/your loved one's time or money. read more

I did the healing trauma program in October 2019. Absolutely worth the money, time and effort. If you are a human being and you can be open about yourself, you will benefit greatly. Don't worry if you have enough problems to warrant this kind of experience. The question you need to ask yourself is "How well do I want to be?" Onsite won't make your problems go away. It's not magic. Onsite will teach/show you how to deal with the problems in your life with the strength and tools you already have. As fluffy as a lot of "life advice" given by mental health professionals may seem, Onsite deals in very real and practical solutions to the problems we all struggle with. I had a lot of anxiety about going to a program like this. Some of this anxiety was based on the unknown, some based on previous experiences. I knew it was going to be intense. 10 minutes into the week long program I could tell I was in the hands of people who knew what they were doing, and moreover knew how to do this work while keeping you feeling safe. No small task for the work being done. My anxiety melted away and I could focus on the work at hand. The idea of doing this kind of work in a group is very intimidating, but the power of the group process is AMAZING. AMAZING. The care you get is based on you and your story and delivered by therapists who are dialed into your unique needs. But when you see the commonality of the problems in yourself and your group members, you get a sense understanding that you could not get in a million years of individual work. Onsite likes to say that a week with them is like 9-12 months of individual therapy. I would say it's apples and oranges. You can do things in a week of Onsite that would just not be possible in individual work. I know Onsite is not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Good luck! read more

When I drove away tearfully from Onsite in June 2018, I simply had no understanding of the changes that would unfold in me. I was fragile and confused but buoyed by the gift of being in space with other remarkably humble, scared humans making sense of their lives. The Living Centered Program at Onsite helped remind me of the life I had created but was, sadly, missing. This medallion on my key ring is sacred now. It reminds me of where I've been, who I am becoming, and what my purpose is. It's been a year of ups and downs but I've been available to feeling all of it. Onsite is an excellent place to reframe your thinking in community. I've heard Miles say something like, "Not everyone needs one of our programs, but most everyone deserves one." I agree. I think the last thing I said at my closing night was that I had learned that I actually really like people. That rich, awakening has only gotten truer and deeper. I've learned that I need people too. Before Onsite, I thought my value was solely linked to my production, my abilities, my drive, my determination, my spreadsheets. A year later, I've settled into a new reality that includes a community of supportive people. No Scientology. But they honor your religion or beliefs or lack thereof. Religion is only as big or small as you want it to be. You choose how big or small it is in your life. I have attended multiple shorter workshops and spent time in the Milestones program. Every program I have attended has helped me grow emotionally and get in touch with who I am. The milestones program is an extended stay program, which gave me an opportunity to engage in many different therapeutic modalities including amount others song, equine, adventure, Native American spiritual, yoga, Chi Gong, group and individual sessions with experts in each field who care. I was concerned it would be an institutional environment, it is much more like a great sleep away camp experience where you can focus on what you need to have joy back in your life. Growth and healing are not easy, this is a safe place for both. My experience was not negative like some of the other reviews. We all have our own perspectives. I am over 50 and not an addict, I did have chronic mild depression. There were recovering addicts present, but this is not an addiction recovery center, this is a place where addicts find out and learn to understand why they medicated. There were some much younger folks there as well and while there was some occasional drama because we all where dealing with our own trauma, I felt the environment was solid for me. read more

I attended Milestones 30 day program and a 4 day Coupleship workshop with my boyfriend. So I was Onsite for 37 Days in the summer of 2016. I suffer from anxiety and childhood trauma and have no substance abuse issues. It was hard work focusing on myself and my issues for that many days. I didn't realize it at the time but I was learning a lot. This past year I was able to handle really difficult life situations much better. I was a changed person when I was faced with adversity. Things that would have made me terrified and hopeless no longer are. It also helped my trauma and PTSD. I have come a long way thanks to what I learned at a Milestones and a Onsite. I was really taken a back at the professionalism and caring staff. I guess things have changed since the previous individuals negative reviews. Why would Dr. Phil jeopardize his reputation and send his people there if it was a "shit show"? (as described by other negative reviews.) I never write reviews but I'm writing this one because Onsite/Milestones deserves it. And so does some other struggling person that is looking for real help. This place is worth the money. It was recommended to me by a friend that has attended both Onsite and Milestones as well as 2 other of her family members. It was hard but worth it. It has saved my life. read more

I had such an amazing time at Onsite. I have done a lot of therapy in years past, and have even done intensives before. But this was head and shoulders above anything I experienced. Onsite Workshops is a remarkable and special place. I was introduced to Onsite by way of an IG post. The past 2.5 years have been emotionally brutal resulting in depression, anxiety, physical and spiritual abandonment. I discussed attending Onsite with my therapist and her response was, "You NEED to do this." Whatever season you're in, wherever you are....GO! My experience of sharing pain with a community of people who wanted nothing from me and were entirely non judgemental was transformative. I returned home having experienced sorrow and joy as I haven't in years and equipped with tools to continue to find my true self and stay with her through every experience - past, current future. One of the best things I have done in my recovery was go to an Onsite workshop. It's a nurturing healing and powerful.

I didn't see a yelp review for the treatment program so going to share here. There is a huge difference between the program on the hill and the program in the housing down the grass hill. People going to the program for the short term week are usually not in that bad a space. They are functioning and many are new to what is taught. It blows them away...WOW factor. I hope this really helps them. The people going to the 15 day (nobody was there 15 days, average stay was over 30) comprised of mostly addicts with trauma issues. In a word, the staff is naive. They are not ready to do a treatment program. All the activities are good, but it means nothing if there isn't proper leadership. The CA's (those who are like orderlies and hourly paid staff that do the daily managing) are co-dependent and spend most of their time in the office on their cell phones. They remind clients about meal and activity times but they are not the "specialists" (therapists, yoga instructors, lead small groups except meditation which was a joke). There is a mixture of ages (20's to 60's all living together). If you are in your 50's and the majority of clients in their early 20's the energy is radically different. I kept asking, "Who is in charge here?" The executive director was almost never present. He was worthless. Half way in my treatment they got a woman from England who cracked the whip. Well, at a $1000 a day, I felt screwed. Half my time was up and they just got it together? Really? The psychiatrist was worthless. She might be very good, but she is overwhelmed. What ONE person can really be attentive to 20 clients? If you already are on meds and have a diagnosis then she might be OK, but if you are starting out, not a good fit! The country kindness got really annoying. I wanted competence above all else! I filled out the paper work before coming. It was extensive. I put a lot of effort into this. I did not sleep well for a few days before flying in. I told them this and when I arrived was on edge and was told I need to sit with a counselor (primary therapist and meet the psychiatrist after I fill out an 18 page profile/questionnaire. Really? How about some down time to get my bearings? What happened to all the paper work I did before I arrived? I filled it out, exhausted and when we met realized with her questioning she did not read the work original paper work...it seemed that way and trust was broken right off the bat. I went thorough a few meds, mostly for sleep because they would not allow me to take my own sleep meds. I spent the entire time battling sleep w/a roommate who had night terrors. I could have changed rooms but when you connect with someone you want to feel safe and I didn't want more change. I asked to leave day 3 telling the executive director this was not a fit for me and to refund me my money less the three days. Would not do it. This is a place for those who have little experience with treatment methods. Ignorance is bliss. I felt defrauded because the place was not run well. The executive director did not have the experience to handle this treatment program. People coming here need STABILITY, not conflict (that is why we are here in the first place). The CA's are not trained well. They all seemed very co-dependent meaning they do not like confrontation. They dance around conflict. A treatment program needs strong personalities that are just, fair, and consistent. Their lack of involvement reflected the poor leadership from the executive director. They seemed bored to death on their 12-hour shifts. If they are going to admit addicts, they need to be MUCH more stricter and not naive. People were hiding shit all over. What a joke? Nobody will narc out another client, so telling people to "police themselves" means we are not in control. Way too laid back. Trust the Process became a cult-like phrase when they had no real answers. Two clients over 50 left my first week because of the incompetence. One young girl acted out and the CA's were not aware she bolted...emergency was called and this upset the entire client (especially the females). Again, who is in charge? Onsite's reaction to this only reinforced they are not in control and willing to take responsibility (WOW...does that sound like the homes we grew up in that created so much confusion in our lives?) All of this is because of weak leadership! Like a classroom teacher who loses control of the class, it is very hard to get it back. This is a management problem. When I left I was worse off and lost all trust in the mental health profession. Of course I have a lot of shadows with trust issues, that is why I went. They need more mature leadership. Like kids, clients need to feel safe and secure, that someone is in charge, not letting the younger clients rule the roost. There is more experienced leadership in an AA meeting! I stayed at onsite recently for a retreat called Dream Big with Bob Goff. The facilities were great. The rooms were nice, the food was really good and the staff was professional and polite. Onsite is one of the best experiences I have had. The way they love and care for all the people that come to the workshops is incredible. Spent 30 days at Milestones, cane out more traumatized than I went in. No medical director on site, no program director at all. Day and night staff are untrained, don't even know basic protocols. Find anywhere else. My experience was in 2016 and is so much like Pockeplayer's review below--I begged to be let go every week. They give you almost all the tools you will need. But you need to be willing to do the work. They put a great emphasis on the roots and history of the trauma. Incorporating the dynamics of your experiences, including IFS. They are weak in the addiction side of things. But understanding what and how we get driven to our addiction or as i prefer to say "my attachments" allows me to heal and stay better in control. read more

My experience is with the Living Centered program; I think the most accurate review would be 1.5 stars. I feel like what I got out of it could've been achieved by a day-long workshop, and I ended up paying a lot of money to come away with very little in the way of new ideas. Most of the staff were kind. The facilities were nice / food was great. It was a comfortable retreat, but I found the content of the program severely lacking. It will introduce people who have never really pursued personal introspection to several concepts of family dysfunction and codependency, but it does little to dig into the actual trauma that causes us to live out those patterns repetitively, which is, personally, what I was hoping to address and was given reason to believe that I would be able to. The small group time is supposed to be where you dig into this work -- unfortunately, with groups of 7-10 people, the amount of time that you actually get to focus on your own psychodrama over the course of the limited days is very little. It's not enough time to really address trauma / historical self-esteem patterns on a personal level. I wish that I had better understood this going into it and that the organization had been more specific about what actually happens in small groups. Because small groups are led by various contracted therapists that come in for each workshop, and they're given a lot of flexibility in how they run the groups, I can see that someone's experience could vary from one group to another, even on the same retreat. But regardless, there simply isn't enough time to be able to really dig into personal histories and associated traumas or stuck emotions. Every morning and evening is spent in large group time, and most of what is presented there is sort of 101 level -- not really intended for people who have already been digging for many years and need help to rearrange subconscious patterns. Maybe, for some people for whom this is their first exposure to recovery or psychological healing concepts, it will set them off on a journey of much more exploration down the road. If you've already been exploring for a while... your money might be better spent elsewhere. Personally, I wish I had instead invested the $ in high quality personal therapy and/or a more targeted group therapy experience or retreat. read more

I attended an individual intensive workshop that really changed my life and helped me understand how to cope. There is no manual for coping with the really bad stuff that life can throw at you. Onsite was a wonderful place. The staff was so incredibly caring, patient, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding. I plan on going back some day more than once to complete some other workshops.
