The other 2 involved special order furniture and both times the delivery time was longer than expected or promised. On April 4th we ordered a bedroom set that we were told would take 8-12 weeks. On July 7th we were told it was on the truck enroute from Pennsylvania. On July 28 we were promised delivery no later than the 2nd of August as the truck was due on 7-31 or 8-1. Matt promised that it would be delivered Friday or Saturday depending on what day it arrived. The freight wasn't delivered to People's until Saturday morning. By the time delivery is finally made it will have been 18 weeks from purchase to delivery. After calming down I realized that the problem didn't lie with People's primarily. The reached out and explained the situation and satisfied me that they did their best but the delivery from manufacture to them was out of their control.

It was wired wrong from the get-go and didn't use cold water. Most of the time service was good, but there were a couple of disappointing times over the years. Ok, fine I went outside and waited 4 minutes, I gave them a few extra minutes, just in case! When I went in to order some steel for our shop I was met with NO greeting, no how are you, what can I do for you NOTHING! OK, it is Monday so I gave them all the benefit of the doubt but THEN the "lady" on the right as you walk in, Emma, was the rudest most disrespectful person I have ever had to deal with in customer service. We own a masonry contracting business so I deal with people all the time. This Emma was the worse. I am not familiar, nor is my husband, with all the exact things that are needed for metal for our shop. We did have a print out from their website for the our order but she had some other questions I simply could not answer. I called my husband and handed her the phone. She put him on speaker and while he was talking all she could do was shake her head like we were some sort of inconvience for her. She was so rude to him and would interupt him with he was explaining what all she needed. She would continue to shake her head like she was irritated by him. He told her that he would do some figuring and call back. I waited there for a little bit all the while she wouldn't make eye contact , chalk up a conversation, not that that was needed but have some respect EMMA! After a while of waiting for him to call back and feeling VERY unwelcomed, I just told her that I would call with the measurements she needed. My gosh, what an absolute nightmare this woman was. If you are going to be in customer service you should probably be curtious to the people that PAY YOUR PAYCHECK! We thought there would be someone professional to speak with boy were we mistaken. I knew after I left that there was NO WAY i was going back in there to be disrespected like that. So I drove to their other location in BOISE! So I drove 57 miles to go to the other location to see what they could do for me. I was greeted IMMEDIATELY with smiles and a "how can I help you." She, Anne, had no idea the experience the rudeness I had just gone through. She as well had some questions and I called my husband, who knew I was driving all to Boise. We called him and she was so nice asked her questions and patiently listen to him and gave him suggestions and worked everything out. It was such a pleasant experience. I asked her if the two companies were on the same computer system and she said no. I gladly gave her my business and paid her over 8k for our metal. I really home EMMA sees this and figures out she lost one not only one sale but many. We live in a subdivision just starting up and with being local and contractors all these house, 3 subdivions with at least 8 houses in them, you do the math EMMA, are going to ask us who we went with. Let me tell you Treasure Valley in Boise wins HANDS DOWNS. I did call Ms. Emma back and told her she was rund and disrespectful and was rude and distrespectful right back to her. See how well she like a taste of her own medicine. Do bettter Treasure Vally Steel in Ontario. I will not be recommending you guys EVER! I will be doing just the opposite!

Prices are good but the wood selection is a heck of a lot better than some of the other big name stores. The staff is there if you have a question and real quick to come and ask what you are looking for and direct you where to find it. For sure a locals staple on where to get what you need when you need it. Outside staff working the yard were quick to assist me with the lumber and blocks I needed. One guy saw the wood I was grabbing and actually removed it from the pile and replaced it with a better choice. Come on, really! I am definitely making this a place for the shopping. From plumbing to gardening to construction, they have it or maybe can get it.
