You'd be surprised how many healers talk about themselves for a good chunk of the time. I even had one medical intuitive answer the phone on a Skype call three times. Unprofessional! Darshna is the exact opposite. 2nd - she is professional and organized with her insights. This probably comes from her corporate background. I have a corporate background as well and can appreciate the fact that she doesn't ramble on at all. She gets straight to the point like presenting to a CEO. Again - a lot of healers I've met have rambled on. 3rd - her healing skills are fantastic. I felt clear and grounded after the session. I like how I can talk to her during the session and she can still do her work/respond. She's got skills. 4th - I've been going around to different healers to find the truth in the consistence of what they say. When I asked her about an animal totem I had her answer was consistent with so many others. That along with a whole host of different insights tell me she is the real deal. 5th - healing office ambiance and friendly staff. 6th - knowledge. This woman has a LOT of it. I can see her hard work through her unique application of a variety of healing modalities. At first I thought her price was high. Out of anyone I've seen on this journey - she charged the most. Both I and my doctors viewed Reiki as an important part of my treatment and healing. It helped me keep a calm and positive outlook which was necessary to stay stronger during chemo. Dana's new(ish) office in downtown Decatur is comfortable and serene. There are very few distractions in this space (compared to the old space in Candler Park), which allows both those receiving and giving the good "Reiki vibes" to really experience healing on a deeper level. I don't know what I would have done without Dana, her patience and her support over the last 9 or 10 months. While I can't credit Dragonfly Reiki for curing my cancer, I can credit it for helping keep me more grounded while dealing with it.

I was greeted upon entry by Raven, the sales clerk and Dr. Shanique, the owner. Raven assisted with my many inquiries as Dr. Shanique escorted other patrons up the winding staircase. I settled on bracelets for my daughter and myself from the vast array of semi precious stones. Garnet for my January baby and aventurine and chakra colored stones for me. Yes, I deserved two bracelets. Smile. Chose aventurine due to it being known to boost creativity and can use all the help I can get with writing! Chakra stone bracelet selected for its numerous properties including clearing, revitalizing and healing. Raven wrapped each item and placed in a logoed bag. After the patrons descended from the upper level and had photos taken at decorative wall with signage, I inquired about the services offered. Learned more about oracle card readings and reiki offered, and was invited to view upper level where these services took place. As I ascended the spiral staircase, I saw several photographs on the wall and other beautiful decorations. Dr. Shanique shared her background with me, and stated that the photos were of ancestors. There were many photos of warm smiles and others more serious that spanned decades. As a little background information, the first visit was in October of this year shortly after I'm S.H.E. opened. Fast forward to the week before Thanksgiving, when once again craving neighboring vendor I noticed the door of I'm S.H.E. open. For starters, you don't have to feel convicted for going if you're a Christian. I'm a Christian, I went and I'm just fine. I feel like I had to say that because so many people get twisted in condemning practices and it's not that serious. Dr. Shanique does a great job respecting your religion and making sure to give you a say in the session without forcing metaphysics down your throat. She was very personable, honest, patient, and knowledgable. She answered any questions I had as well as made sure I was comfortable before moving through our session. We started with the card reading and this was nothing major, just a few cards to give you some guidance on moving forward and handling upcoming life events. I personally would say the cards were super general and could easily apply to anyone living life so again, you don't have to feel like you're about to be told that you're dying tomorrow lol. Next we moved to the reiki session. This was basically a soothing meditation experience and I just about feel asleep because her voice was so soothing and I enjoyed the music played in tandem with her guiding me through the meditation. Afterwards I loved that we got together to discuss my experience as well as to create a mediation plan to use moving forward. She provides you with materials to help keep you on track with your plan and of course recommends a follow up 4-6 weeks post visit. All in all, I would say "try it before you knock it".
