A few weekends ago I returned to Crescent Moon Gifts. I was at their old location a few years ago but they have since moved. It is definitely an improvement as they can hold special events here and the building is large enough that they have tenants and other businesses here. The move definitely opened up for more merchandise as well and it took some time to get at least some feeling that I have seen what they have to offer but I know a return trip will reveal items I may have missed. I love their incense selection and purchased quite a few different scents which I am excited to use. I also love the three large dragon statues that they have with their own names. Definitely a thing I will need to check out on a return trip is the tea room that they now have. Such an enormous selection of teas... it's overwhelming and intriguing at the same time. There are also individuals in two small, private rooms that can give you a reading also. I always thought Crescent Moon Gifts was a cool place but that has increased ten fold at their new location. They have an event board for activities here and we were intrigued by the Fairy Festival. We went back thinking that there was no entry fee as that is what it said on the calendar. However when we tried to go we were told a donation was needed to enter. So a mandatory donation if you will. At least that is what the lady running that table seemed to give us. If we knew that ahead of time we would have brought cash in order to enter but since that wasn't the case we just left. So event organizers at this space definitely need to get their ducks in a row as to whether an entry fee is involved or not and communicate that onto the event calendar. Despite that I still give it five stars because this place is just so cool and I can't deduct stars for it. read more

I brought my two teenage sons with me and the staff took the time to answer their questions and help them find what they wanted. The store was really busy but we didn't feel rushed or anything. Went in looking for certain stones and crystals, as well as some smudge sticks and loose sage, and the store was amazing! Tons of variety when it comes to stones and crystals. As someone who is moderately experienced with crystal healing, I really appreciated the helpful cards alongside the organized shelves detailing what they are, and how they can be used. The shop is absolutely massive, but not cluttered and crowded. They also have event space and a tea lounge, which I will absolutely check out the next time I come in. I wouldn't be leaving a public review if they allowed honest reviews on their site where they ask. I don't usually have problems with Crescent Moon Gifts, I enjoy their store. However I attended the Haunted Tea Party last night and the entertainment was awful. When people complained about it, my group and one other, they were blocked and ignored. We said nothing that wasn't true. The entertainment Steve Dunkelberger was very proud to talk about his serial killer memorabilia. He had his son wear Ted Bundy's cub scout uniform and has personalized Charles Manson memorabilia hanging in his bedroom. It was very uncomfortable. Comments on Facebook are hidden and deleted, people are being blocked for legitimately complaining. Their chosen entertainment was problematic at best and Crescent Moon is not taking responsibility and it's incredibly disappointing. read more

Absolutely love this shop! My friend brought me here last month and I was captivated by the selection and beautiful jewelry. I'm new to crystals and haven't been in a shop like this in over 20 years! It's very well lit and welcoming! My only suggestion is maybe get a second till. I was almost late back from lunch because they were struggling to issue store credit. Another suggestion is having prices displayed in the jewelry cases! You would be amazed how many people will walk away because they don't want to interact with someone. Love this place! I started coming here several years ago when they had a much smaller space, then the larger shop with the murals and now this building. They have community events seasonally. I come here to buy gifts and tea. They recently expanded their selection of gems which is fun if you're into rocks and crystals. I pick up gifts for my friends who are into metaphysics or alternative spiritual paths. The staff are always kind and courteous and take time to answer questions. Small to medium size lot parking. This can really fill up during an event but there is street parking available in the adjacent neighborhood. Go check them out! read more

They have the biggest variety of all things and trinkets metaphysical! I came in to look for a specific stone for my deeper meditation practice and ended up leaving with a brand new necklace and some wisdom cards. I enjoy the hanging wall decor they have here as well. This shop offers an abundance of things that appealed to me: candles, pretty stones, healing balms & oils, and unique bumper stickers. I'm not into a lot of the other stuff, but clearly there is a huge market as this place was hopping on a Saturday with perhaps a few dozen customers when we stopped in around 1:30. There was a bit of a wait at check-out since something wasn't working with the credit card machine for someone in front of us, but Gavin apologized and took care of us quickly and with a smile. I just left there and had such a disappointing experience. This is the only metaphysical store in the greater seattle/Tacoma area that I had yet to visit. I was set on finding a very specific stone and was in a little time crunch. So I found the stone and crystal area and began to browse the selections for what I wanted. Things seemed alphabetically organized so I didn't feel the need to keenly search. I noticed an employee helping a customer, but the customer had walked away for a second, so I used the opportunity to quickly ask if she knew if they carried the stone I was looking for. Not only did this employee make fun of how I pronounced the stone with her customer, she brushed me off and pointed me in the stone area and told me to look over there. It was the epitome of poor customer service. Further, I notice this woman in very casual attire (tank top in January!!), kind of lurking behind me. I thought it was a customer but then I noticed her slowly walk behind the counter. She was an employee and she did not ask me if I needed help. Wonder what she was doing... Used to go here a lot when they had their old location right across the street. It used to be so pretty and welcoming and very nicely designed with tonssss of beautiful crystals on display. Now it's a new location and when you walk in it's a teeeny tiny display compared to what they used to have and then it's basically just a gift shop. They're old store used to be overflowing with amazing metaphysical items and now it looks like a gentrified small Tik Tok shop. Went there to get a ring a few weeks back and was just appalled at the cheap selection compared to what they used to have. Also miss the spinning display case. The environment is split up into different sections and are easy to navigate when looking for something specific. Lots of beautiful jams and rocks along with incense and candles jewelry and so much more. I live in Seattle and while there are a couple of shops there I enjoy, I was looking for a shop that had a little more variety in their wares, and I wasn't disappointed! I came in looking for candle anointing oils and they have a tonne of single scent oils as well as a big selection of hoodoo oils from great companies like Motor City! I am primarily a crystal/ stone hound and while some of their loose stones range from reasonable to expensive I was actually VERY impressed with their jewelry selection, huge range of stones and very well priced! While I don't typically need a lot of help in shops like this, the workers were happy and more than willing to help when I wanted to look at things in the cases. I hardly every venture down south, but will make a habit of it more often for this place. read more

Service is always friendly and every time we visit my kids get to pick out one cool rock to add to their collection. I love metaphysical and spiritual stores. I found this one on accident and asked my boyfriend to take me on my birthday, since I didn't want to go alone. First off - it was an extremely welcoming and comfortable environment. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly, not hokey or fake in any way. I used to frequent a similar store in downtown Seattle, but stopped due to their disingenuous practices. The store itself is rather large. I'm not a big Harry Potter fan at all, but they had a lot of items for fans of the series. They had everything well organized by belief system, a nice jewelry selection, and a variety of unique items and gifts.
