It really is impressive to watch the seamless switch between handling different age groups. Each class feels really appropriate for the student's level. The studio is comfortable, the environment is friendly, and our kids really do learn a lot of valuable life skills beyond hitting an opponent. There has been a huge confidence and positive attitude boost from all 3 of our kids attending classes as compared to when they first started (some needed it more). I have seen progressive improvements in other students as well. I do wish I would have had the chance to meet Master Marvil. His legacy feels like it lives on here, even though I have only seen pictures and heard stories. We will never force our kids to continue studying martial arts. They do have the choice of other activities in it's place, but all 3 continue to stay and advance through the belt levels here and hope to do so for the years to come. One day, I may have to start attending classes myself. Although, I did always want to attend a rival school so I can face my children in a competition cobra kai style, but I'll hold for now.

I took the kickbox cardio class with Carley, the owner, and she was so energetic and motivating. You can tell she really cares about the students and encourages people to push themselves. The class was structured into segments that use different combinations of kickboxing moves and then a section of abs at the end. You are always moving and it is really fun. The studio was big enough that everyone had enough room and the music choices definitely helped keep the energy up. This was a fantastic workout for a VERY reasonable price, only $8!!!! That's unbelievable! I highly recommend

Great place! Here is a pros and cons list I've noticed throughout my time here. (note: I have not…read moreattended any of the fitness classes so I cannot speak for those but they always look lively and packed) Pros: Absolutely gorgeous facility. The lighting is great. Friendly and welcoming staff Great protein shakes Most people who work out here are friendly and not discouraging like most other gyms. Equipment is state of the art. Cardio movie theater is AWESOME!!! It makes you forget you're even working out. Great hours. Monday- Friday 24 hours and 7am-7pm on weekends Cons: They are often giving tours. Several times I've been on the massage chair and someone will just come in and look at you. Not the most relaxing experience haha. Perhaps management should look into showing the prospective gym members photos of the massage equipment or just briefly explain what's over there. Because it's weird to have somebody stand there and show the massage equipment while you're sitting there trying to get your massage on, ya know. Crowded at peak hours. We all knew it would be. However, find your perfect time. There's often times little breaks in between the rush hours where it's not as busy. Not going to share my perfect time so you don't go there when it's dead and make it crowded haha. Just whatever you do, don't go around 5am (weirdly crowded for so early I know that's what I thought too) or anytime between 4pm-8pm. You will have to wait for a bench or certain popular equipment. The movies they show... why are they almost always action or super hero movies... I prefer comedy and dramas but I feel like literally every time I visit the edge it's a super hero or action movie. Hey if that's your thing, perfect. But it gets old. Show some great comedies. Don't get me wrong, there's a few comedies throughout the month. But the majority of movies shown are action movies. The women's area... I was really excited for a women's area as my previous gym, LA fitness didn't offer this. But it's so small. All the equipment is RIGHT on top of each other and facing other equipment so you feel like you're staring at someone. And there's only four benches. So that's annoying. Especially when there's someone in there just taking the entire area by the benches by placing their bags and mats and stuff and talking over the entire area. It's hard to explain but you'll know what I'm talking about whencyo. Which actually happens a lot. Hint: ladies stop doing this haha. You ruin other people's workout. Share the grass and benches area!!! My piece of advice, it's more crowded in the women's area than the actual gym most of the time because of its size. Just workout in the main area. It's not worth the extra money a month. Overall, it's a great gym I would recommend to anyone. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great facility. Just a few little bugs and imperfections. But hey that's every gym you go to. every time I leave the edge, I feel happy and like I had a tremendous workout. And that says a lot. And yes, it's better than LA fitness for anyone wondering that! Hopefully my review has helped anyone considering the edge. I say do it. ********UPDATE********: I'm getting very angry at this gym. It keeps running promotions every month with free gym memberships and open houses etc. That are the Over the freaking top annoying. GYM GETS MORE AND MORE CROWDED EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! No matter when I go it's crowded. And you have no idea how frustrating it can be to not even get a bench and have to wait. Sure the facility is gorgeous but stop giving away free memberships. All the gym wants is your money and they don't care how crowded and overly busy this place gets and makes you uncomfortable. I'm really mad. Also, they need a better system for tanning and massage. Massage chair has been out of order for a week. And the staff acts annoyed when you wanna tan. Like you are bothering them. Edge fitness look into your tanning and massage because the system is terrible. People don't go at their designated times. And it's just so annoying. They aren't monitoring to make sure people get out of the tanning/ massage at the right time. I even told them like hey there's a person in the tanning during my time and apparently it was MY JOB to get them out. So angry at this gym.
