I, had some high end items! Burberry trench coat and hair cap,Gucci purse and a special edition Juicy Couture purse plus high end clothing and shoes on consignment there. I, didn't get even 1,000 dollars for all the high end items! Plus they don't give me any evidence or proof of what they sell items for. They gave me a receipt with the amount I got for item and that's it! They keep a percentage to consigned with them. And from what i got they would give me all amount if I use it to buy in their store. But if i choose a check so they took another percentage. THEY ARE THIEFS. I, regret using them. I, should have sold those high end items on eBay I, would have made more money. I, would have given 0 stars if available. But am forced to give that 1 star!! read more

I rarely leave reviews. But today this shop popped up on a search to find where to donate clothing, and I read a review from another customer, Victoria W, and a subsequent response by the store. I would like to say that I believe everything the customer said in their review, as I had several similar experiences with the same associate/manager on different shopping days. And I refuse to return. I've popped into Oh La La several times not post-work-out and found cute things. While I wasn't always greeted, people weren't rude to me. There's always one associate who is kind and friendly. But not the other one. On days I have stopped in following my work-out class, as it's on my way back home from downtown, I have been treated exceptionally poorly: to the point where I was questioned about my appearance. The final time I visited after my class was asking about their consignment policy. I guess she assumed my small gym bag had the clothes in I would like to consign. I was told, curtly, with quite the bit of conceitedness in her voice, that my clothes needed to be hung and ironed for her to even consider them. Both times in my gym-to-street athletic wear, I was treated as though I shouldn't be shopping there. It's really a shame, because they have really cute things from time-to-time and it's affordable. I refuse to go back, though. If I'm not good enough in gym clothes, I'm not good enough even if I wear Givenchy. read more

It is nice to have a neighborhood consignment shop. The problem is the two women who work for this tiny little store in a delapidated building; they put on airs, are incredibly inconsiderate, rude, and are as dumb as doorknobs. Everything I have brought in has sold but this last time, putting up with these two, was a bridge too far. Their job is to sort through old clothes. Who do they think they are? I've been shopping at oo lala off and on for the 10 years I have lived in Santa Fe. However, an exchange that happened yesterday evening with the main sales associate perhaps owner (she has red hair and wears glasses) left me wondering if I will ever step foot in the store again. My partner and I were driving by when we saw a great pair of vintage red velvet pants outside on display. My partner became excited and I started raving about how some of my favorite pieces of clothing have come from Oo lala and always at a great price. On our way to a hike we spontaneously turned the car around with excitement. The pants were outside on display were we could get a better look and of course my partner became enthusiastic about trying them on. And like I said, great pieces at prices, they were $30. Upon entering we were greeted by a different sales associate, so nice and eager to help and without hesitation, agreed to bring in the pants from outside. At this point we were rudely and abruptly interrupted by the owner/other sales associate making sure we knew how much the pants were and that we could afford them. Still ashamedly conditioned to be polite in the worst of circumstances, it took me a moment to register how rude and inappropriate her comment was... judging, profiling. We are a queer/gay couple in our 30s. Was she being both homophopic and classiest? Or, just assuming since we don't need or want botox we must be lost? read more

I love this store!! The best labels and great prices!! I recently bought a Johnny Was silk top with the tags still attached for 85% less than the original price.I also scored a pair of Mother Jeans that fit me perfectly for $39.00!! The store is neat, clean and the service was fantastic and friendly! When I tried on a jacket that was to tight, they were honest with me. I loved the honesty. Angie is the best!! I was able to look through the entire store without being hassled! I have consigned with Ooh La La and I was able to take the money on account and put it towards new items that I love and wear. They are always able to account for everything I bring them. "I can't say the same for some of the other stores in town". Great men's clothing store. Bought Georgio Armani slacks for $90. Amazing place to buy but your not going to get a ton for pieces you want to sell. However, this is not that much different from other consignment clothing stores, just use some common sense be sure to get an idea of what something could sell for before you consign it. read more

I would love to give this store 4-5 stars, as it's really cute and I appreciate the quality and curated selection of items. But what gets me is that I've barely ever been greeted when entering the store, and almost never even addressed as I look around. While I've heard the sales people boisterously welcoming others and chit-chatting about items, I've been given mostly just a cold shoulder. I've come in multiple times, just in case it was one day's mood, but no, always the same. Perhaps I don't look like a wealthy retiree, but I can afford anything in this store. However, I prefer to take my business to Act 2, as they always greet me cheerfully and ask if they can help me throughout my shopping experience. read more

Agree with Barbara D. I have been consigning in Santa Fe for over 20 years between my own designer clothing and shoes; my children's clothing; and jewelry. Every time I enter this shop I am treated as if I'm doing them a huge favor, plus, there is no rhyme or reason to the selection of items. To save you time and trouble, go to Act 2 and Double Take. Both have staff with excellent customer service, you leave feeling like you are treated as the customer you should! read more

Ooh La La gave me $24.00 for a long Aguascutum raincoat with a removable liner that was barely worn and though old in very good condition and just back from the dry cleaner. This coat is a well known British brand and was very expensive. I would have been better off donating it and claiming a tax write off and doing good for some charity. Before picking up my measly check, I brought more things in to consign. She turned up her nose at anything over a few years old this time despite the designer labels. They don't really want anything over two years old, she told me. In other words they want your NEW designer clothes - just the ones YOU want to keep wearing a little while longer. I took back the items she had accepted and told her I would not be back. If you are shopping you might try it. If you are consigning, you are better off donating your clothing to a good cause. read more

I saw Vince; BCBG; James Perse; Stella McCartney; Rag + Bone; Eileen Fisher (more than the other brands); Free People; DVF; Marc by Marc Jacobs. Prices are not rock bottom but no one's going to give away these brands for free. They organize their clothes by types (dress, pants, tops, workout, etc.), size, and then color. Working with Ooh La La Consignment was the first I'd used a consignment shop. I was not contacted when the consignment period ended. I went to the shop a month later and learned that 2 brand new pairs of shoes had been "donated" to local non-profit. The last pair of shoes sold for about $70 dollars and my cut was $22. I found the dismissive demeanor inappropriate. IF I ever used a consignment shop again it will NOT be this business. I was better off just having a garage sale and keeping all the profits. read more

This store is good if you're a customer, not so much if you're selling. They're very narrow in what they'll take: I was told they only take items that are within the last year's fashion trends! Who gets rid of clothes after 1 year or less of wear?! One of my items was a Ralph Lauren with a Southwest theme, very popular in Santa Fe. They took it, happily, but claimed to have lost track of it when I came in at the designated time to see what had sold. I never got my item back, nor was I paid for it. I tend to consign at Double Take, and they're picky, as well. All the consignment stores know they can't sell items that aren't close to perfect. And I've gotten quite a few almost perfect pieces at Ooh La La, including a pair of Rag & Bone jeans for $30 that I now live in. I feel like I get great clothes that I wouldn't be able to afford new without the environmental and human rights issues that come with new clothes. A total win for me. read more

I love this store. I have been consigning and shopping here for a couple of years. She gives very fair prices, and the selection for shopping is beautiful. It is one of the only good places in Santa Fe to get gorgeous contemporary clothing--invaluable for young professionals who like designer clothes for all occasions. This is a great place to both buy and consign. I have gotten great deals on Armani, Etro, Theory, Chloe, and Louboutin. The owner and staff are professional and provide excellent customer service. The merchandise is high-end and the prices are fair. A really helpful business practice includes calling you if your items haven't sold within the consignment period for pick-up if you choose, otherwise they donate your items. read more
