There was a lady on my left sitting down, and to my right, a hairstylist was washing a client's hair (with her back to me). She didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in. She didn't even turn around to smile or say "welcome in." I stood there for what felt like forever and it was super awkward. No one came out from the back. I was hesitant to ask her about availability since she was clearly busy with a client. I eventually had to ask her since no one else showed up. There was a long silence before she responded; it wasn't right away. (Again, I get that she was with a client.) She sounded so hesitant, and you could tell she was holding back words. I've never been neglected or ignored like this at a salon. I really hope she sees this review and thinks about it for future walk-ins or clients. I don't know if she's a solo hairstylist; if she is, I personally feel like she could've handled me differently. She could've turned around, acknowledged me, smiled, and said either one of two things: "Hi, welcome in, I'm not taking any clients right now," or "Hey, thanks for coming in, but I don't take walk-ins." Don't just leave someone standing there!
