Thank you so much to this team for getting me ready for my event! This spot came as a recommendation from an old friend Maria who was able to fit me into a last minute appointment with Fernando who did my "up do" for an event. I was a little at a loss on what to do with my hair because of the type of gown I was wearing and because of their guidance, my hair came out perfect!! Before Fernando even touched my hair, I was prepped by Maria who consulted with him on what I should do. Granted my actual hair is pretty short so I brought in some 18" extensions to add in. I had no idea how it was going to work but I trusted that it would come together. Karen came in to curl all of my extensions before Fernando even got to me. She kept me company with conversation so that by the time Fernando walked in, all the extensions were ready to go. When Fernando walked in, he was able to work his magic and transformed my short straight hair into a fabulous up do adding in all the extensions one by one. My long hair not only looked like was my own, but made me feel so glamorous the day of the event. 4.5 stars.... I'm only taking off .5 stars because I think I needed a lot more hairspray as the curls on the extensions were falling really loose by the end of the night. Other than that, everything was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better up do. If you need your hair done for a special event, give this spot a try and ask for Fernando. read more

They don't answer their voicemails, emails or messages on the app. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept calling for a consult. One lady finally called me back after multiple times trying. She confirmed with Fernando to come in for a consult between 4-5 because he will be leaving at 5 I came in at 430. Nobody will greet you or make eye contact. I finally went in and she said oh have a seat and I'll get you in soon. She saw me standing for a while and finally took me in and said she'd get Fernando. She then continued with her client. Did not notify him at all. Someone walked by about 15 min later and she told him. Another 10 minutes go by and nothing. So I left at 455 since nobody was attempting to get the stylist or give an update. On my way out she said - oh you don't want to wait. Really? You told me he had to leave at 5 and he's nowhere to be found. I wanted to give them a chance since he has good reviews. It's prob a good place if you're an existing client. Had an appointment for partial highlights. Something I've done for years. Stylist Was Candy. Candy was 30 mins late to the appointment . She wanted to do a 10 min strand test to see how my hair would lift. Came back after 3 mins, pulled the foils and says your hair wont lift and it will break if I leave it on longer. I have gone completely blond in the past without issue. She didn't recommend any other services. I walked out and heard her calling me some not so nice names. Completely uncalled for. I would avoid if you don't want to be treated like crap. Picture of my "dry" damaged hair that Candy said wouldn't color and break and fall out Edit after salon response. Candy left the foil on for 3 minutes. There is no way to tell if hair will lift in 3 mins. When i left after Candy called me a Karen she continued to mumble rude comments as i walked out. Got my hair done across the way 20 mins later and it looks amazing. Tipped the stylist $75 because she did an amazing job. You lost a customer and will get only negative feedback from me if asked where to go. Funny how nothing else like Candy being 30 mins late was addresses or the salon filled with people when there's only supposed to be one at a time and zero masks on stylist. New to the area I was in need of a new salon. Booked an appointment with Fernando for a haircut. When I arrived to the salon there was no one at the front desk. Stood in the lobby for 5 mins before I was acknowledged. Fernando was 15 minutes late, he seem bothered that someone had requested him. When discussing what I'd like to have done (basic lob), he interrupted me and thought it was a perfect time to upsell me on a carotene hair treatment. That service alone is well over $200, no thanks just the cut. We went to wash my hair, he brought up the treatment AGAIN, and that I should get done. I told him it's not in my budget, he responded with "tell your husband to work some overtime". It was just really exhausting, and rude. I'm really kicking myself in the butt for not getting up and leaving at that moment. He did not listen to what I wanted. When I got home and looked at the back of my head, and it's not straight!! I took a risk, and I immediately regret it. I do not recommend this place. read more

I am currently going thru a severe case of postpartum hair loss, so I have decided to chop off my long hair of 2 decades. I researched online on the short hairstyle that I wanted and showed it to Fernando, and with one glanced he was able to cut my hair the way I wanted it. I am super happy with my hair, and I can't wait to go back in 2 months. Also, the staff are super friendly. Not to mention my husband called in the morning and I got my appointment at noon on the same day. One of the staff, a girl (which I forgot to ask for her name), washed my hair and gave me the most relaxing head massage which was much needed since my little one didn't let me sleep much the night before. I found Fernando when searching for Kerastase products to fix my hair after being damaged by color. I stopped into his salon simply to buy products and it was then that I met Fernando for the first time...he has quickly become my hero! Fernando took time out of his schedule to look at my hair and share his thoughts on what needed to be done to get my hair back to healthy and beautiful. He was kind but direct and brutally honest. He agreed it was badly damaged and in need of a whole lot of TLC. He told me what he would do and that there was no quick fix but it was fixable. After speaking with him I set an appointment to have him get started. I was instantly happy, even though my hair was nowhere near what it used to be, it was so much better after that first treatment/cut/color. The second and third time he cut/color it got even better. And this last time, the fourth visit, I walked out with better hair than I've ever had! Not only does he have an incredible eye for color but he is beyond talented when it comes to cutting hair. I have thin fine hair but no one would know by looking at it after Fernando's cut. My hair looks thick, full, healthy, and has incredible volume. I've never had a cut that allowed me to blow dry and go without using any styling tools or spending a very frustrating hour trying to get it to do what I want. Fernando not only gave me back a healthy head of hair but he also gave me back hours of time every week since my hair now falls right into place after a simple blow dry. My hairstylist moved to Texas so I was in search for a new stylist. I booked with Rubi and was nervous because my hair was in bad shape (hadn't gotten done in about a year). I rarely do my hair because from past experiences I've gone to other places and have spent so much to just leave with my hair not looking so much different then how I walked in and not the end results I asked for. My wife and I were looking for a new hair salon that would cater to our hair needs...no need to look any further!! we found Hair Studio 28!!! If you have a good cut and color and an experience come here. You'll be treated like a Queen and you'll leave feeling much more sassier that you did when you walked in. Fernando does our hair and all I can say is he is a damn magician! I had a keratin treatment done on my hair this last week and wow!!! I have been a Brazilian Blowout girl for many years but the smell has always bothered me but after this Keratin treatment with Fernando I'm sold, and the cut can I just say FIERCE!!!! I I love it and have gotten so many compliments. The salon is super clean and his employees are totally lovely! The energy in the salon is great! You feel like you are walking into a famous persons salon that for some reason you are the last person to know about. Everyone was there to see Fernando or just to say Hi to someone. He uses an app that you can schedule your appointments which I love since I hate calling and trying to arrange my calendar with theirs. I have gone to hairstylists all over the country, literally. I have had four regular stylists in the past 15 years, and two of them were in Morgan Hill. I became very disenchanted with all of them, because it seemed that quality and passion for the work really took a back seat to the needs of the particular stylist. Appointments were changed, or rescheduled at the last minute, details of color and cut were overlooked or disregarded, and over time I began to wonder if it was me. Was I such a needy, bad client that I deserved to leave a haircut with one side of my hair two inches longer than the other? Or with my hair not colored all the way to the roots? Then I found Hair Studio 28, and Fernando. There are other great people there, but to me, he is a really unique and wonderful human being as well as an extraordinary stylist. He is very handsome, which is a little intimidating, but immediately upon speaking to him you realize that all he is concerned with is doing a great job for you. When I got there some months back, my hair was truly a wreck. Bad cut, damaged and really depressing. Judging by the expression on Fernando's face, which he couldn't conceal, he was unpleasantly surprised by the lack of craftsmanship (for which the most recent charge had been three hundred dollars, no less.) But he got to work, and the resulting product was incredible. Best haircut I have ever had in my life, bar none. I've had my hair cut by some pretty famous people: Fernando beat them all. I have become, as a result, a true believer. Although I am a work in progress, the progress is stunning, and with each successive appointment, it gets more and more gorgeous. I've got my entire family and all my friends seeing him now. Not trying to tell you what to do, but you need to go see him. Prices for service are good, products are all Kerastase and so fairly expensive, but worth it. I'd give ten stars if I could. Go. read more
