I just want to say thank you for the grand service I received here at my last event . The staff was so wonderful, from the moment I planned my event here til the last person walked out we were treated with the upmost respect , all our needs were met and exceeded ! The waiters and waitress did such an amazing job tending to my guest and making sure everyone is fed and has everything they need at any given moment . My decorator was spectacular! I've never had such a horrible experience like with this venue ! Pls stay away from it... I very recently had an event and i chose to get a package so first the waitress were stealing my stuff, they were rude to my guests! There was trash all over in the venue The decoration lady whos name Sonia is really bad at decorating and at putting up with what you agreed with... So when I complain to the owner (the couple) they hardly believe what I was saying even though I had proof of it As pics and videos... The communication with them is horrible! I'm not happy at all with the venue and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL save your money and look for other places read more

We had a delayed high school graduation celebration for our daughter yesterday at Opal Event Hall and this location was perfect! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the owners were very accommodating as the traditional graduation date kept changing/canceled. My daughter and her friends missed the traditional walk across the stage to receive their diploma so I used the stage at Opal Hall, the DJ "Mixban" played Pomp and Circumstance as they walked across the stage. Class of 2020! A special moment indeed, so glad Opal Hall had everything we needed. The hall has a beautiful decor and very spacious, especially for social distancing requirements. I found this place via Wedding Wire a few days ago because we are planning my daughters Quinceñera. Bottom line....I WOULD NEVER SPEND A DIME HERE! Shehla was very rude and professional to say the least. Once I declined their services, I assume she became insulted. I reached out this morning to ask to be removed from the Wedding Wire contacts because I continued to receive emails asking to reply, so I reached out to ask if they would remove me because we had already communicated (detailed records are stored on Wedding Wire). Her response was "I understand we are done, so??" Beware, especially if customer service is high on your lost when investing your money in any establishment. read more

We had our wedding reception of around 150 guests at this venue. Let us start by saying that the hall is excellent. Its very modern and there is a lot of light and the chandeliers and the lighting is excellent. The entrance foyer is very well decorated and adds a lot to the ambiance. The bathrooms are beautiful as well. Once you enter the hall, the chairs are all clear chiavari chairs which adds a lot to how elegant this place looks. It really is a great venue. However, for me the most amazing part was dealing with Sheila Aunty who is the owner and the manager of this hall. She is simply amazing. From day one she helped us so much with recommendations on decor, photography, make up and everything else. She went above and beyond on the day of the event. Any time we asked her for something she always said yes and was super accommodating. On the day of the reception, both her and her husband were there throughout and made sure that everything went smoothly and there were no hiccups. We just had our baby shower here on 8/19 and the hall is beautiful! The interior is finely decorated and the staff are helpful and friendly. Shehla and Farhaan are gracious hosts and always respond to any questions/concerns. They made the day go very smoothly. My husband and I got married on 10/28/2016 and had a great time. We got married in Piedmont Park and had our reception at The Opal. It's really a beautiful space. We minimally decorated because the decor of the The Opal was already so beautiful. So many people commented on the space. You can go as ornate or as simple as you want. Shehla was great to work with, responsive, and had many choices for payment plans which was helpful. My guests had so much fun and the Groom and I were so pleased. I also loved how Shehla would work with me and my wedding planner in scheduling time after work to visit the venue which is not easy in Atlanta traffic! Her team is onsite and helps with flow which also is useful as well. I would completely recommend this place and am very pleased. read more

Our children arranged our 25th Anniversary in this beautiful event hall which needs minimum amount of decorations as the Hosts Shehla and Farhaan have seem to put delicate and elegant touches to every corner. Shehla was very helpful with planning of the party and was very accommodating. If you are looking for great ambiance and elegance then look no further, the hall leaves the guests breathless. This is a nice little hall for an event of roughly 200 people. I've been here a couple of times for weddings. The decorations are usually done by an external decorator, but the venue is so beautiful, any type of decoration looks good with the current setup. There are pretty chandeliers on the ceiling and a little adorned area for pictures and lounging. read more

Let me start off by saying this was the most beautiful and cleanest venue of our wedding! We did not even have to decorate much since they have beautiful chairs, flooring, and lighting. The owner and staff members are extremely professional and they make sure your event is going smoothly. Weddings can be stressful and this event hall makes sure they are by your side and ensures you are having a great time. where to begin with this event hall, only reason 1 star is given is because the hall is nice. other then that, nothing is good with this business. i booked this hall for my engagement ceremony that was going to take place on 5/2/2020, i booked this hall with shehla ( owner) in december of 2019 before covid-19 struck us. first off, the entire process was terrible the owners of the establishment would not take credit card payments over the phone, so in order for us to make out deposits we had to drive to the location every time. second, shehla was not understanding at all when it came to payments, i asked mrs. shehla if i can make my last deposit a few days later as i was busy with work and couldn't get off in time. her response was no, but i can venmo her the deposit. so i had to leave work early to make the deposit using a credit card. lastly, the biggest issue that happened with this business is the reason no one should book this hall. due to covid-19 and the restrictions i had to cancel my engagement event because the government said no more than 10 people can gather for events. when i approached mrs.shehla about a possible refund, she told me management was not issuing refund but they can reschedule. i said fine, we will reschedule i offered her dates that we can reschedule to, she said none of the dates i provided were open and she had no saturdays open for the rest of the year. she said i can book the hall for a sunday afternoon and that was the only open times she had for 2020. after she did not have any dates, she said we can get a 35% refund and that was it, no reason we should only be getting a 35% refund, when no services were performed and this was out of my control as covid-19 was the issue. the event hall costed us $4500, and $1000 security deposit. only thing i was able to get back from my credit card company was the $1000 deposit. we lost $4500 and the owner has refused to give us a refund and now has taken the money and not even contacted us. in my opinion that is stealing money. it is now december 2020 and the last i heard from mrs. shelha was in july 2020. fair warning, stay away if you can and find another event hall. read more

We fell in love with Opal event hall when we first saw it, it's absolutely beautiful with a very soothing ambiance. Shehla is a pleasure to work with. During our planning stages, we met with her a couple of times and she went out of her way to see us. She was on top of every detail and made sure that everything was as planned.
