I got a nice car. But when i bought the NEW car i noticed the rear bumper had a broke clip and was loose. Still not fixed and its been 2 months. So i am less than impressed on that. Let me begin by saying I haven't encountered an employee at this location who has ever appeared rude or confrontational. However, I dropped off my 2019 F-150 over 5 weeks ago (6/4) to have apparent sudden transmission issues diagnosed. I had no idea what kind of timeline to expect as far as a turnaround diagnosis, but I was happily informed upon dropoff that I could expect a call back in a couple days because it was as simple as a road test and computer plug in that would let me know what was going on in detail. Fast forward to the end of the following week, still no answer so I called back myself. I was then told no one had looked at my truck yet but it would certainly be in the shop that afternoon and I'd get a call no problem. As you can imagine I didn't hear a thing from them, so I waited another full week to call back when I was told the SAME excuse. When I asked to speak with the service manager they supposedly noted down my information and said he'd call to go over my concerns. After several more days had passed with no update over the phone, I drove to the physical service desk and asked to speak with my service advisor who then informed me my truck had just come off the lift and needed a brand new transmission. While I had feared this all along, I was prepared and agreed to have Ford perform the service the very next morning after researching local options and Ford offering a, what I consider to be small, discount on the job. I was then told the new transmission would arrive over the weekend and be installed Monday or Tuesday of the following week (7/6-7) As I'm typing this review it is Friday afternoon (7/10) of "the following week" and my truck once again hasn't moved since I agreed to have the work performed. While I can fully understand how busy such a dealership can remain all year long, I'm more angered by the fact that the service advisors do everything they can to "beat around the bush" and give vague answers/dates to any questions a customer asks. Any other mechanic I have ever used will provide a clear timeline or at the very least make sure they call to keep their paying customer informed of any changes it truly has been my experience here that you have to show up in person to find out any information and have work started or otherwise you will fall through the cracks and be put behind a growing line of vehicles. Not to mention you must wait on hold a minimum of 10-20 minutes before ever getting through to service in the first place. If I would have simply been informed that the diagnosis and repair work would have taken this long, I could have made the decision to either be without my vehicle and understood the needed repairs, or taken my business elsewhere and for less of a cost and a quicker resolution. I've been cast to the wayside far too many times falsely expecting updates when nothing was ever really planned that soon and that is no way to treat someone. I love Ford vehicles and have only ever driven a Ford truck for work or personal use, but this experience combined with the continuous failure of modern parts and higher service costs makes me seriously reconsider any future purchases altogether. To anyone who takes the time to read this review please consider all your options and make sure you're ready to be without a vehicle for a substantial amount of time at this location. Also as far as covered warranty work is concerned, the exact same scenario can be expected. When I had to have a new engine installed in the 2024 F-250 after the original catastrophically failed at only 12k miles, I experienced the same runaround and false statements (minus the extremely pricy repair bill I now have in front of me) before driving to the location and demanding answers. I received that vehicle back after over 2 months had passed since drop off with a tow truck. New engines and transmissions aren't a walk in the park, but don't mislead your customers and provide false hope of an early turnaround only after they force you to give an update. Laying out the facts early on would avoid half of my frustrations. read more

Overall the sales person was nice and not pushy but the guys that do the contracts actually tried to add things in my contract i specifically told them i didnt want and two items locking lug nuts and nitrofill for tires was suppose to be 298.00 they charged me on my contract 599.00 for nitrofill and 399.00 for locking wheel lugs , yep lug nuts are a hundred bucks a piece at opelika ford. One manager even tried to tell me the reason they add in the extra is they cant charge for dealer prep anymore so they have to figure in extra on sticker price items to make up the loss. I about hit the roof when i heard that bullcrap . If you deal with them then make sure you check every item and the charges for items on contract match whats on sticker. I getting the money back on the lug nuts and nitrofill and they are cancelling the extended warranty that was 3295.00 i specifically told them i didnt want. Buyer beware read more

If you get one of those "Giveaway Event Mailers" in the mail, understand that the numbers in the combination box mean NOTHING. You DID NOT win the prize in the combination box. There is a second number they only check at the dealership that determines what you won. (I won a $25 gift card, after driving all the way there.) In my opinion, this is professional malpractice. I believe they are intentionally misleading people. The fine print appears intentionally confusing, so it can be understood multiple ways. I thought the winning number was just a verification code for the number in the combination box. In my opinion, this company should have a class action lawsuit brought against them. If you know an attorney that wants to take on a big business on behalf of at least 150,000 people, I want to talk to them. read more

The Jeep service part of the business is the poorest run thing I have ever encountered. Stay away from the service team unless you just enjoy wasting tons of time and thoroughly enjoy being angry and repeatedly disappointed. It took me 6 times to try to fix something, and either never getting to it or repeatedly "forgetting" to order a part or "forgetting " they had already diagnosed the issue and need to order the little $12 part. Or the technician just decided he didn't want to work anymore and take off for an early weekend (while I was in the waiting room) just after my appointment. And the service advisor not telling me until after 5p (my appt was at 12p). This stuff and other insane "business" practices with no apologies. I drove from Montgomery to purchase a truck after seeing it online at Cars.com. I confirmed it was there and the Cam would be taking care of us. My son and I test drove it and they worked up a sheet based on the numbers that were advertised at full asking price. Their offer for my trade was extremely low. They came up $2,000 on it but it still wasn't good enough. I told them I was going to see if I could sell it myself. We left around 3pm and kept in contact with Cam by text. At 5:07 PM I let Cam know that I had worked out a deal to sell my trade in and that if he would proceed with the purchase at the asking price we had agreed on. He replied that he would work on it first thing in the morning. I messaged him at 7:30AM the next day and told him I would be there at 1PM to sign paperwork and pick it up. At 9:22AM he texted and said the price has changed. They wanted $4k more for the truck. I was livid. I've sold my vehicle and now they want me to pay more than was advertised and agreed on the day before. I called Cam and reminded him that we already had a deal at that price and he said the deals changed. I asked who was making this decision and was told it was Mike Chandler the Used Car Manager (Cam's mentor as he had told me the day before). I called Mike to appeal the decision. He said the price was advertised in error and that since I didn't have a trade any longer they can't make enough money off the deal so I would have to buy it at the new price. I asked to put a deposit on it to hold it. They were closing, so they asked me to call back in the morning. I gladly did. If I could give negative I would. I have a 2020 F150 that was towed up there on 9/5/2020, and I understand it is was a holiday weekend, and was told they will try to look at it Tuesday, but if not it would be Wednesday. Tuesday rolls around, we have to call to get an update, and they said it would be Wednesday, 9/9/2020. Wednesday comes around and we have not heard anything from the service department. We call around lunch time, they said the service lady is not here, call back after lunch. Called after lunch and spoke with a rep who said hold on let me find the service lady, she then said we are looking at it. I repeated so my vehicle will be at least diagnosed today, and her reply was Yes. near the end of the day rolls around, and still no update. We call again, and again get the run around but this time we are told not today, it'll be tomorrow, 09/10/2020. So they have had my vehicle since 09/05/2020 and said it would be looked at on 09/09/2020, and it is now that day and they don't have the decent customer service to call and let us know. Instead we have to call for an update just to be told not today. Spoke with the General Manager about 30 minutes ago, took my name and number and said he will see what he can find out on why it is taking so long, and he would give me a call back in a few minutes. We have been without a vehicle since 9/5, this is under warranty and Ford will not provide a rental until the vehicle is at least diagnosed. If this business was run on integrity alone, it would falter within a day. To quote their website, "Opelika Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is committed to customer satisfaction and we are dedicated to providing you with total support for your automotive needs." They ARE NOT COMMITTED to satisfaction or providing total support. Commitment and support would include letting us know what is going on without the customer having to call in. It would also mean when they make a commitment and tell a customer that something will be done on said day they would do it, but instead they go back on their word and fail to support the customer in all aspects of anything related to customer service. When I called back about some warranty work the finance manager told me to take it to a closer shop and everything would be covered and it would save me some time. Said when I bought the extended warranty that it was best in the business and would cover everything. And I asked why not just use the warranty that the truck has since it was certified that the dealership put on it. He said man there's so many grey areas and fine print it's not worth anything that I needed the other. Which I know was a sales pitch. When I sent a message to talk to the manager about the warranty not covering much of anything the salesman said they would call me and it should be made right. I received the price offer and it included: $199 for nitrogen in the tires (I am an engineer, this is total b.s.) $699 for LUXCARE fabric treatment (no thanks) $1500 ADM (additional dealer markup - just a price booster) $841 non-tax fee (more margin) $499 document fee (again, more margin) Total of $3738 added fees. Lied about Warranty Coverage. I purchased a new set of tires for my jeep thought their service department and was told that roadside issues including tire pictures would be covered. Got a screw in my tire and took for reaper or service. Very rude guy at the service desk (only identified by an orange facemask) told me that coverage was only good for manufacture defects and I will need to buy a new tire. The worst service I have received in my life. I took the Ford in for repair again. This new vehicle has been in the shop longer than my other cars and it only has 15,000 miles on it. the service department did not call to let me know about the problem at all and they have been sitting on the information. I called them and thats when they told me we have to replace a part and the cost. I told her I need it fix ASAP and asked her when it will be done. she said she does not know and she ask to order the parts. all this will okay and understandable only if she informed me as soon as she knows about it and not sit on the information until late before she leave for work. First time dealing with these people and the salesman straight up lied to me. It took THREE WEEKS for my car to get to the dealership after he told me that they were shipping it from another dealer in Alabama. Second time I came back to get new tires and they scratched all 4 FACTORY rims on my car the manager tried to accuse me of scratching them saying I "curbed" the rims. Then they tried to "fix" the machined wheels by buffing the scratches out which looked like garbage btw. I've been getting my oil changed here since I bought the car here now they say they'll no longer accept anybody after 3 pm which totally helps people that work 7-3:30. read more

The service department is completely inept. I took my vehicle in and was told that ALL of their technicians were out for training for two weeks. So, I made an appointment for two weeks out. I also preordered a windshield. When the appointment date came, I dropped off my vehicle very early in the day. They called me five hours later to tell me that they did not have my windshield. They also wanted to charge one hundred dollars to run diagnostics on a broken door lock, which is something I had never heard of. Regardless , I approved the diagnostics and told them to order the windshield. They called me back ten minutes later telling me that they wanted me to pay half up front for the windshield. Again, a tactic I had never heard of from a dealership service department. I asked them to stop all work and let me take my business elsewhere. Very poor management and service. Stay away. read more
