Chanced upon this little piece of music heaven on our way to the market. My son is in love with old music and he was happy! The place is filled with different genres from different music eras. The person who helped us was so kind and we promised when we are in the area, it will be added to our list of musts.

We were strolling down College Avenue looking in the windows of different shops. We felt invited into Open Mind Music with it's colorful rainbow rug, and Dutch door open at the top. There were large paintings and posters thoughtfully placed on the walls. Jazz was softly playing on the record player on the left side of the store. It felt so comfortable being their space. We were greeted by Monica who was dressed in gently faded denim bell bottoms with a matching shirt. She looked like she had stepped out of the early 70s while organizing LPs in the oak bins. Everything looked orderly and clean. Some of the LPs were brand new, and others looked like they were barely used. Looking for vintage or new release LPs? Open Mind Music is a great place to check out.

    Great vinyl, Great people

Very nice record store! Definitely enjoyed talking to Henry and Monica. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but was curious on what Dave Brubeck vinyl they had. They had a beautiful Time Out Vinyl! Super excited and Henry tested it and it plays super well. They also have hand sanitizer at the front so everyone stays nice and clean. You'll see me again soon!

So nice! :) I bookmarked this spot to visit since it was my boyfriend's 1st visit in Berkeley, and I thought this was a cool store to check out. We did have to check in his backpack at the entrance of the store, which is no issue. They have lots of selection of music, and my bf found a vinyl that he has been looking for a long time - The Big Lebowski one. He was so happy! This is definitely a good spot to check out if you're into music and especially if you want to get vinyls and cds. They also have some cool lunch boxes and posters as well plus other interesting items. Parking in Berkeley can be tough though. We drive around for about 18 minutes before we finally found a spot to park.

Picked up Damian Marley's stony hill (7) for a cd that's a good price, will be more rare through the years. Also picked up Nelson Ned for the same price but in vinyl. Now ask people about famous Brazilian singers in Spanish he's top of that list, good price for refined ears. 5/5 great store

When I came in a few weeks ago I was the only one inside and was looking for Queen - Hot Space. Who I assume to be the shop owner knew he didn't have it, but showed me the Queen section and I walked out with The Game. There was also a flyer at the checkout area advertising a record sale going on at USF, so props for advertising other record finding events. Everything isn't here. It's a local vinyl shop that has so much to look through, and if you're into that then this is the record shop for you. It gives me the thrill of thrifting back in 2007-2016, but for records. I walked out with international vinyls showcasing music from Brazil and Nicaragua last weekend, but finding the Thriller album was icing on the cake. I wasn't really looking for it, but there is a Jackson 5 section showcasing many of the Jackson 5 albums and their individual projects. Service - I had great service the first time I went because no one else was there. The second time I went, the service was still good but being that it was busy, he pointed me to the exact locations I could find what I was looking for if it was there. I feel like he really knows his shop, and that in itself is valuable. There are many, many vinyls. They're organized as well.

Both numbers represent an amount that is close to the average gross income in The States. The issues that I had with Graham persist to this day and over a $500.00 screw up for auxiliary speakers that were charged and never delivered. Did anyone verify from MLA? Who knows, doubtful. The Sonus Faber speakers that I selected needed new grill material. My wife was kind enough to contact the SF location and she was told that Sonus Faber would be happy to send new grills at no charge. SF contacted Graham and guess what? After seven months nothing. I called the distributor and asked if grills could be sent and if Graham ever placed an order for me. Yes on the first and just like Graham, no order was made. This type of behavior contradicts the policy and/or credo of Music Lovers. On the inter web: https://www.musicloversaudio.com/about-music-lovers Graham doesn't live up to the long-term/lifetime relationship.

I walked in and was greeted by a nice woman. I told her what I was after and she brought over three choices. The first one was beeswax and the other two were paraffin. I opted for the beeswax, which is always my candle preference. They were expensive, $6.95, but beeswax always is. I bought them and she wrapped them in tissue paper and put them in a handle bag.
