Recently came to get my oil service done and Jeff was great! He took me in right away even though he must have had a few other projects he was working on. Told him I'd be back when I'm ready for my exhaust and I did just that... He put on my new Rinehart exhaust and wow what a difference! He really took the time to make sure everything was locked in tight and the bike looks great! Definitely found my new bike mechanic, I trust Jeff with my bike and the products he uses. The AMS Oil truly is the best product for your harley. My bike runs great. My second time here and won't be my last. If you're looking for a hard working guy you found him! Protect your investment! These new owners they are a joke coach and Smitty was honest they were supposed to put in a charging system for my bike they blamed it on Smitty the smell is gone now so they worked on my bike I picked it up check engine light came back on took it back this guy Tony says it was OK but before me and My wife picked the bike up he says your back tire keeps going low my wife has it is it safe he says yes but he knew the tire was no good so I'm on the way back to Phenix making a left turn on 107th Ave. I almost beat it May went down because the negligence of this owner and I bought the tire from them Hughes said he wasn't responsible for the tow so I told him I just take my bike home I'm a find Smitty and it's made it work on my bike these guys over there they are a joke they are not mechanics do not take Your bikes to these guys not if you want to get home safe at night this guy Tony he's a liar used bikes over to these people read more

Coach just finished rebuilding a 103 motor for me. Everything worked out great so I'm having my 'problem child' -a Jim's 131 race motor- rebuilt next. These guys are knowledgeable, friendly and have integrity. I recommend this veteran-owned business to anyone! read more

The staff is very knowledgeable on all types of bikesI ride a classic Honda that the Honda dealer did't even want to work on. The who what when where why and how Jeff Jones aka "Coach" owner of this dive bar motorcycle shop. We met just over a year ago, I needed to get a few new parts added, (front shocks) got it home the next day a leak from throttle side fork. Back she went in. New front rim ( balance beads) FAILED took to another shop to get balanced. (motor work) 103 to 110 tire shredder twisted O ring on pushrod tubes) D and D exhaust Thundermax Coach says he's a master tuner. (Backfires) Clutch and spring ( could never get a real adjustment) Compensator and chain ( adjuster failure) (Radio install) blames speakers for sound quality ran both speakers out of left side output (Motorwork) Notice a leak from the lower jug. Forgot about the reason I brought the bike in. Clutch basket waiting on issues Lock-up clutch waiting on issues New front speakers waiting on issues Coach always seem to be mad that I got parts from outsourcing dealers. I work deals with Company's to write reviews and get products at cost, saving myself a few dollars and building a rapport with them. Every time my bike goes in it comes back with finger smudges everywhere. I've spent numerous hours waiting for work to be completed and watching individuals bring back bikes for fixes to work that Coach has already completed. I guess I have to blame myself.. red flags were there, I'm all about the local mom and pop shops. Coach needs to evaluate his drinking habits and workmanship and use this review to check himself before someone gets hurt from not so perfect workmanship. read more

I can't say enough good things about these gentleman. Not only did they stay late to get my bike in they made sure I could ride the very next day. Instead of keeping the bike and waiting for parts they got me to a good place while the parts were ordered. I took my H-D Bagger to Open Road to overhaul the engine in my bike because I had high respect for Coach and Rob's skills, and I liked the shop. I was very surprised when I got the bike home and found the transmission stuck in 6th gear. When I looked over the bike, I found the motor covered in greasy finger prints and loose bolts holding the exhaust together. Given the condition of the bike I took it to a different shop to fix the transmission. That shop fixed the tranny, but could not get it to run correctly. Finally they pulled the overhauled engine apart and found some of the components were installed incorrectly, and some parts were used parts - not the new or reconditioned parts I paid for. I'm very disappointed. read more

I researched five other bike repairs shops before picking up the phone to call Open Road. These guys are great at customer service. The owners are the mechanics. Rob called me to update on what he thought the problem was and when he would have it fixed. These two guys are the first honest repair shop I have found in the 15 years. The previous bike repair shop told me I needed new front rotors at a cost of 1,300. Rob told me I didn't need new rotors and was able to fix my brake problem for under 400.00. I had a broken chain and was stranded 70 miles from home. Coach came in after he had closed shop to fix my chain and get me back on the road. That says a lot about his character as a person. I am thankful and grateful to him and his crew. I owe them a few rounds of drinks!! read more

They tell you it's one thing it will be about 250.00 then it's 600.00 to fix it right after paying and told it's all good I drive my bike up the street and it's doing the same thing don't think they test drive it. So Jeff tells me it will be another 180.00 (another 250.00 later they tell me it's all done) still same thing 850.00 later i took it to another shop and had it fixed for about 180.00. read more

Called to get an opinion. First it was 3 weeks. Then i said, after I left it, I will pick it up and call me. Then it was 4 days. Ok. Went to get my bike and was in a huge hurry. I paid and left. Got home and noticed a dent and huge scratch in front fender. Also oily finger print all over heat shields, cam cover etc. Called & he said bring it back and we'll clean it. What about the fender? No response. And, I'm not real sure what tools were in the bags, but I'm pretty sure there is a socket bar with some smaller sockets MISSING. I cannot believe the response from owner. Said they came from Calif. Probably ran away. After this, I wouldn't let these guys check air pressure in my tires. SLOPPY SLOPPY work. Odd to hear you all had better service than I did. Just got a bad feeling about this place and should have left. Very bust and they were close. Too bad for me. I will NOT go back. No respect for my personal property. I'll do the rest myself. I was having an issue with my clutch slipping, the guys took me in right away and adjusted as much as they could. I rode it home and still felt it slipping, when they opened up the bike my spring plate had 'exploded' and their original diagnosis had been correct, so I upgraded my clutch pack so I won't ever have that particular problem again. I also needed a new front tire, I was looking at different styles, trying to change up the stock look, Coach gave me some input and price matched the tire I had planned on ordering. They were up front with the pricing, discounted the time they had already put in with the original adjustment and they even greased my squeaky kickstand. This is my first bike and I am experiencing these mechanical issues for the first time so they let me ask a million questions and kept me posted on the progress. I will definitely bring my bike back there if I need another repair. read more
