I broke my neck many years ago and had a chiropractor that was always able to help me with my pain from that. Unfortunately he passed away. Then my major back problems started. Went to another chiropractor that basically just took my money. Never alleviated any of my pain and didn't adjust me the way I was used to being adjusted. Then a friend offered a suggestion to go to Sarpy Chiro. I was assured the type of adjustments they did was similar to what my old chiro did. I'm so glad I went. For years, I was passed from specialist to specialist without ever being referred to a chiropractor. Ironically, it was a TikTok about cervical care and POTS that led me to look into it. By January of this year, I was sitting in my doctor's office in tears because my quality of life had gotten so low. I went from lifting weights for an hour a day, five days a week, to barely being able to get out of bed. I had constant nausea, severe dizziness, tachycardia, and pre-syncope. I couldn't walk around my own home and had to scooch or crawl if my husband wasn't there to help me. As a PhD student, keeping up with school felt nearly impossible. Even less than 2,000 steps a day left me exhausted and weak, and all I wanted to do when I got home was sleep. Despite being advised to prioritize cardiology care first, I decided to schedule with Green Chiropractic. When I saw my X-rays and the amount of stress being placed on my nervous system, I was shocked that, in over 10 years of symptoms (and 8 years to get diagnosed), this had never been suggested as an option. After my very first adjustment, I went home and walked up three flights of stairs with my heart rate staying under 90 (when it would normally be 140-180). It was a temporary effect, but it gave me hope. After several weeks of consistent care, my headaches have gradually disappeared. I can't remember the last time I had a migraine!! My dizziness and nausea are almost completely gone. At my recent cardiology stress test, I actually started crying because (for the first time in months) I was able to move and push myself without getting dizzy. My heart rate was still elevated, and I obviously have low exercise tolerance, but my blood pressure remained stable, and I had ZERO dizziness!!! I'm now slowly getting back into working out, which has been huge for my mental health. Going from being unable to stand or walk around my home to a 50m walk outside with my husband over Easter is overwhelming (in the best way). What makes Green Chiropractic stand out is their thoroughness and intention. Everything is clearly explained, there's a structured plan, and it truly feels like they care about long-term results (when the patient chooses), not just temporary relief. That has NOT been my experience with chiropractic care. I know everyone experiences POTS differently, but I also know how hopeless it can feel when nothing seems to help. First, they have a whole onboarding program to do x-rays of your worst areas to make sure they adjust you correctly which is reviewed by all the doctors here before a plan is made, and then they do weekly adjustments to get everything set correctly before they slowly go down to bi-weekly and then monthly. Seriously, it's been such a different experience from any other chiropractor office and I love it. They've been so willing to fit me in any time or day when I have emergency back issues like when I throw out my back, and usually they can even get me in the day of which is amazing! Every single person at this chiropractic office (especially Doctor Young) is so friendly and honest and real, it's incredibly refreshing compared to any other doctor's office. And it's not like a fake friendly or anything, they always smile and say hi and even remember and greet me and my wife by name which is very much appreciated! They even have a little table for kids with a coloring area and tv so your kids can hangout in the lobby and color or watch a show while you get adjusted which is really nice and we take advantage of that every time to get a quick break from the kids while we get adjusted. We haven't taken advantage of the weight loss assistance option provided by Young Chiropractic, but my wife did do the therapeutic massage and said it was great. It was not as long as a normal massage and was more focused than just a general "relaxation" massage, but it was priced very reasonable for what was done and she appreciated it and said she'll do it again at some point. As for the e-stim I've done that every time I've gone and I can definitely tell a difference, it's totally worth it and I highly recommend doing that after you have an adjustment! One thing to add, I one had slight jaw pain where my jaw muscles were really tense and it hurt and they'd randomly lock up for a minute like a muscle spasm, and I told Doctor Young and he immediately went and got some tool and used it on my jaw several times on each side, and the pain immediately went away. Couldn't believe that was even possible, but I love that he's always there to help you with any pain or discomfort you have, it is so appreciated. Lastly, one thing I want to say is that many chiropractic offices and doctors will say or believe absolutely crazy things about what chiropractic adjustments can do, such as one we went to previously telling us that "getting our newborn son adjusted would help with him spitting up so much" (spoiler alert, it didn't at all and they charged us the full visit fee for his 15 second adjustment) or telling me that "all you need is to get adjusted and the muscles will fix themselves" (which is totally not true, getting adjusted does not replace still needing to stretch and be active and move around and not sit or sleep in odd positions) but this chiropractic office and Doctor Young especially do not make any ridiculous claims like that. Everything I've seen and heard from anyone at Young Chiropractic has always been absolutely reasonable and based on actual science and not just made up "adjustments will fix anything" like some offices will say just to get people to keep coming. I very much appreciate this honesty from Young Chiropractic, and it's one of the main reasons I love and trust this practice so much. Overall, I could not be happier with my experience at Young Chiropractic, and after almost 10+ years of seeing many different chiropractors who all didn't fix my back pain or told me it would fix things that it actually couldn't, I've finally found an office with honest and friendly staff, who give amazing care and are dedicated to making sure everyone who visits leaves feeling better and taken care of. I give Young Chiropractic an absolute 10/10, definitely recommend!
