I applied with them for a refinance, as they appeared to have good reviews.....but I was sadly disappointed. First, after running my credit, I received an email with my rate and terms. Probably hours after my email I received a phone call from the lady doing my loan, stating that those terms weren't accurate, as I owed more on my vehicle than it was worth. I approved the new amount anyways as it was a savings, but then was told it was turned down because they thought I paid $1200 in child support a month. I told them that they ran my credit and have my check stub, that my child support had been paid off for about a year and they have all documents to see that. I was then told they would re-run the numbers for a loan I was initially approved for, and then came back denying it saying that my debt to income was higher than their standard of 50%. In the course of trying to do business with them, I call Paula Cornerstone no less than 5 times at her direct extension, and never reached her once, sometimes getting email responses instead. I would recommend trying someone other than them. read more

I talked to them on the phone before filling out my application as I am a young student with plenty of reasons to be worried about my credit! I received a letter from them in the mail, and figured I would give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were a great loan company to work with. I was able to lower my rate even more than my bank said they could. Their loan package was easy to complete, and I got a final response within a week. I had questions and Norma responded right away. I ended up lowering my payment by $60 a month, and skipped a payment this month, which worked out really well since I have been furloughed! would say they are worth contacting to see what they can offer you. If they can't offer you a better rate, then the 1 look at your credit won't hurt it anymore than it already is hurting. My credit is around 600 - more or less, and I was able to get an interest rate under 6% - but every state may be different. I also got GAP coverage with them for $600 - this is probably different in each state, but if I would have got it with my first loan, it would have cost thousands, and would cost $600 a year if I got it with my car insurance. So that's a great deal too. Overall, very happy with the experience, and would recommend them to anyone that doesn't have perfect credit and has been paying on a car for a year - they are an honest company. read more

I normally don't write a review on companies, but I feel this was needed. Hopefully, this can help someone else who is struggling to make a decision about this company. On 1/22/2018 - I was denied an auto loan due to my credit score being extremely low by this company. On 4/8/2018 - received a Pre-qualification letter from OpenRoad Leading and was unsure if I wanted to apply since I was denied a few months ago. On 4/9/2018 - Contacted OpenRoad Leading and applied for the loan just to see if I would be approved. Received an email from them on 4/10/2018 being approved. Contacted OpenRoad Lending 4/11/2018 and was advise my application would be under review again due to my vehicle being upside down. The agent said I would have a response by noon that same day. Received an email stating I have been approved and I was super excited because this is my first vehicle that I financed on my own. 4/12/2018 - Emailed and faxed the documentation to OpenRoad Leading and mailed the notarize POA. 4/13/2018 - Received an email in reference OpenRoad Lending needed additional information and it was supplied. On 4/18/2018 - The loan was finalized and my first payment was due on 5/25/2018. They really worked with me in my situation and I have nothing negative to say about them. They also saved me an additional $60 a month. I'm very grateful for the opportunity and would recommend them to my family and friends. read more

Reduced my rate and payments with a refinance. Overall the refinance was pretty quick, everything completed in a couple of weeks. They definitely asked for more documentation than any lender I have ever dealt with. They immediately sold the loan to a local lender. Never had any problems, I set up auto pay and never had any interaction with the actual lender at all till I traded in the vehicle. Couldn't reach them on the phone to get a payoff quote during normal business hours on a weekday, but I was able to get a payoff quote on the app and the dealer used that. The even though the dealer paid off the load within a few days, the lender held on to the title an additional 3 weeks, which caused problems and delays with paperwork from the dealer. The lender (Regional Acceptance Corporation) also refused to send me a proof of payoff, saying I would have to go through the dealer for that since they paid it off. Even then, the dealer would have to send the request in writing and they would mail it back to the dealer. Again, never had that problem before either. The final problem was the GAP refund. The GAP company is Dealer Loyalty Protection, quite a joke of a company. They told me to fill out the form on the website, which I did. Then I called them to ask about how to send them the required documents, to which they rudely said there no required documents. Even after I read to her the specific writing from their own form of what documents were required she then insisted again nothing else was required. Afterword I realized there was an email address listed to send documentation which I did. The form says refunds will be received within 4 to 6 weeks, it has now been 6 weeks so guess I will be calling them on Monday since they have a rude answering service on the weekend. Not too hopeful though since when I did a search for the GAP company, they are listed on BBB as an F with most of the complaints unanswered. Seems they have a habit of not refunding owed cancellations. Even though Open Road was pretty good initially, they are getting a 1 star rating for the horrible customer service of the partners that I was forced to deal with. Even though Regional Acceptance Corporation was partly to blame, you have absolutely no choice at that point. By the time you have a new lender, you have already signed all of the paperwork and they then sell your loan so you are stuck. Dealer Loyalty Protection, the GAP provider, also helped earn them this rating since Open Road is the company that sold the contract. Moral of the story, Open Road themselves seems to be decent, but beware of the shady companies you will be forced to deal with as a result. read more

Very helpful with getting my vehicle refinance and lower my rate from 18% to 6.89% no hidden costs and no application fees and easy processing. The Agent that helped me, Alex was very nice and helpful and explained everything out for me in detail as we went along and was always available, I never felt like I was getting the run around. The only negative I have is that it did take 3 weeks for final approval, I started the process 2/6/13 and final approval was 2/27/13. But overall I am HAPPY! read more

I had been trying to refinance my car for a little while, trying to find the right lender that gave me the warm and fuzzy feeling. I went to lending tree and they suggested a few lenders. I was talking with Tracey @ OpenRoad and Mike @ FleetFinancial. I did some research on both companies before hand. All Fleet Financial tried to do was push an Extended Warranty on me that I didn't need. I felt like i was dealing with a low budget car salesman. He said he would get me the best rate, was submitting the paperwork and would call me the next morning. If i didn't hear from him it meant he was "fighting for my loan". Needless to say i never heard from him nor did i follow up. Thank goodness. Tracey @ OpenRoad Lending was fantastic!! We were in constant contact via email, they didn't try and shove products down my throat that i didn't need or want and they got me a lower rate than what i'm currently paying. I would absolutely recommend them to friends, family and strangers. It was a smooth easy transaction and i liked the fact that i could log onto their site to check on the status of my loan. I can understand why some people on here are giving bad reviews because it was kind of a hassle to gather everything but to be honest that's to be expected when you're having to deal with refinancing a car. What do people expect for a refinancing company to just hand over thousands of dollars without have paperwork and making sure they go through legality of it all? I received a letter from them to refinance my car, Ok, it sounded a good deal, lower rate, lower payments. I applied and I was declined even with my credit score of "724" And the reason for it was "delinquent past and/or present obligations".....really????? This's such a lie, I've never ever ever had any late payment nor missing payment ever........ There's something seriously wrong with this company that is not worth trying it. Ridiculous company, they sent my husband a flyer in the mail saying we can drop your payments from $293 down to $207 a month please contact us. So I told my husband to go ahead call them and give him all the information. Once he gave them all the information they said it will take 2 days for us to come up with the decision about 10 minutes later there's an email that you can check your decision. Once we checked the decision it says he was declined because of delinquent past and or present obligations. As soon as I read that I went and ran his credit I wish I could attach copies of it he has zero past due balance he has never been past due on any bill or any loan it clearly shows a 100% next to Equifax and he is a 707 credit score. So I'm not sure how they came up with their decision going by Equifax like they said when Equifax clearly shows that he has great credit yes it's not an 850 it's not perfect but it's clearly not due to not paying bills or being late on something so I'm just confused by how they come up with their decisions. So they went and dropped his scores in his credit just to look that yes he has always been on time and he has never been late and to drop his scores on his credit report to deny him it don't make sense. Don't waste your time with this company there's so many more out there that will really look at your credit and give you what you deserve. read more

I applied for a auto refi with this company back in October 2017, based on fair approval odds. I was denied. I didn't get too upset, I have spent the past 12 months straight improving my credit, I haven't paid anything late. The current interest rate for my auto loan is 27.60% (I KNOW). My credit is now 619, 612, 579. Back when I got this auto loan a year ago i have 450 average score. So Yes I have been working hard. Needless to say I come home the other day March 26, 2018 and I have mail from this company. Great news, it tells me I'm pre approved for the refi loan. Told me my Interest rate was going to 12.6% and my monthly payment was going to go from $388 a month (which is what I currently pay) to $217 a month. So guess who gets all excited. Yeah, turns out it wasn't a pre approval it was a lie they ran my credit again which came out to 619 and they denied me based on my credit score which they knew already. They placed another hard inquiry on my credit and to add insult to injury they sold my information to everyone. I now mysteriously have a hard inquiry from Wells Fargo auto (whom I have never spoken to or contacted) as well as Lending Club, and My Auto Loan. And lord knows who else. I know it was this company that gave my information out because I received an email from one of them that said "Thank you for applying for a refinance auto loan: we received your application from our partner OpenRoadLending." Yeah, this company and their practices should be ashamed. I pay my car loan on time in full every month and I am busting my butt to repair my credit, I do not appreciate my information being sold, or false pre approvals being sent my way. Guess what at the rate I am going My credit will be well into the 700 CLUB by the end of this year and I wont bother giving business to this company when I get there, and I will. read more

I have been paying my auto loan for over a year and never had a late payment and also my credit has improved as well . So I tell them my goal is to shorten my term and improve my APR. They sent me a e-mail and con gratulate me that I got the loan . I call them back and they approved me for a higher rate and a longer term . What a scam !!!!! I recently got a "preliminary" offer in the mail from this company with my name and a projected six percent decrease in my APR and over $150 per month savings on my car loan. I was really excited and despite my doubt, I went ahead and completed the online application. I will give them credit for one thing...they were very timely. Within 3 hours I had received my answer and I was approved! Unfortunately, the offer they sent me was a 1% higher APR and an increased monthly payment amount of about ten dollars or so. I give them two stars because they did give me an offer in a short time and they did return e-mail promptly. But I would also give them zero stars for doing their homework on their potential customers and below zero for sending out a misleading advertisement. read more

They send you email, text and leave message that you have been "approved" and then within 24 hrs they notify that you have "not been approved"! Waste of my time! I strongly do not recommend to apply with Openroad. In order for you to have any further information on rates, you have to apply for the loan and they check your credit adding a high inquiry on your credit report, for no reason! And that will stay on your credit report for 2 years! Lowering your score. DON'T DO IT! They declined my application without a clear reason why, I had a good credit report and different offers from other lenders. Openroad doesn't have it together. Crooks; they just mess up the credit more after you've been working hard to improve. Avoid the pre-approval they're faulty and just a marketing scheme my credit wasn't bad it was fair and they still could not beat my current financing agreement. There is now 2 hard inquiries on my credit report now 1 from them and another due to them giving my info out to regional acceptance without asking first. read more

Rachel O was super easy to work with. They were able to lower my interest rate over 16% saving me over $110 per month, and over $8,000 over the life of my loan. There are terms and conditions, such as you can't owe way more than your car is worth. The paperwork is not complex but I recommend reading what they ask for closely. Open road lending is a big scam. They send out pre-qualified letters then disapprove your load with a good credit score. If you are foolish enough to take them up on an offer as I did then buyer beware.
