Only regret is due to new car delays i had to re submit the sale request which "algorithm" cleverly reduced the sale price by 10%. I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering Carvana with a trade-in that has negative equity. I purchased a vehicle from Carvana and financed through my own lender (USAA). I traded in a vehicle that was upside down, with the negative equity rolled into the transaction -- which I fully understood and accepted at the time of purchase. However, shortly after delivery, the vehicle exhibited a material mechanical defect that was not disclosed. I immediately notified Carvana and requested a return within their return window, which Carvana agreed to. Here is where the process completely broke down: Although the vehicle was returned, Carvana had already paid off my prior lender as part of the trade-in. Carvana is now attempting to leave me responsible for approximately $8,000 in unsecured negative equity for a vehicle I no longer own -- despite the return being caused by an undisclosed defect. Front-line representatives repeatedly fell back on "as-is" language, despite Carvana advertising a return policy and limited warranty that clearly contemplate defects. Requests for a full financial unwind and executive-level review were met with resistance and circular arguments, even after escalation. To be clear: I am not disputing that negative equity existed. I am disputing being left with unsecured debt after a transaction that was rescinded due to a vehicle not as described. Carvana's return process is marketed as simple and consumer-friendly, but that promise does not hold up when a trade-in with negative equity is involved. Customers are not adequately warned that returning a defective vehicle can still leave them with thousands of dollars of debt and no car. I am currently awaiting executive resolution. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend Carvana to anyone trading in a vehicle with an existing loan. read more

Once I figure out not to fight it and go with their system the transaction was painless. My only complaint was that I had to pay for my own Uber ride home which cost me $65. I only like Lincoln Towncars, and Carvana had a beautiful one a 2011 which is the last year and it had only 31 thousand miles. But a tire sensor light came on 10 minutes after I left the dealership right in traffic construction zone with big over the road trucks near me where I could have a blow out and could have killed me. Because I found b out the next day one tire had over 60 pounds of air another tire had over 50 pounds of air the other had 48 and the last had 45. When recommended on the door is 33 lbs. So Carvana had blown the tire way way up, with no concern for my safety or safety rules that they must follow. The tires were try rotted. And because the air was blown up, it had damaged the air sensors. Thats it why it said sensor fail. They did this to save buying tires and getting the customer to drive of with no concern for safety. Including when I asked them to replace the tires the next day I had it in the shop.so Carvana could care less if you might get killed as long as they dont spend money to follow safety regulations and do what is right. If your a used car dealer. So it looks like they just buy cars fix nothing. Then attempt to dump it on you. Even they would not let me test drive the vehicle because they were aware of the issue. And the back shocks were rusted and nearing fail but again they will not fix any safety issues. So just dump the vehicle on your yard and here you go. So better be careful if you buy a used car from a online group like Carvana that just buys cars and does not refurbish them at all. Sure I could have taken back but there are not many 2011 town cars with low miles. Plus the had the price of the car 11k over the kelly book. And that makes them scandalous. So buyers be ware. There is one main reason that I'm leaving 2 and not just no stars and the deserving out of this group would get 5 stars; However, this experience landed this. I work 70 -120 hrs a week as a paramedic, have for 8.5 years at the same company. I've cleared more money than the highest paid Fire Chief in the state of Texas due to my ability of burnout due to the lack of medics since Covid. I provided 2 years worth of taxes to prove income, a 8month track of bank statements, 8.5 years worth of pay stubs. all to get told by one of the underwriters that I didn't make enough money. Not only did I argue with this guy. He told me my math was wrong. Though let me state, basing income on a new wage set at the beginning of the year doesn't create enough time for adjustment on proving income. So his math was wrong. I fought for 3.5 hrs to get the car I wanted, I got slammed with a mass interest rate, high ass payments, and poor customer service when I make enough to buy a dang Ducati! I was treated poorly and unfairly, I fought for myself that's the only way that I got what I put in for. I even went as far as asking them if they had an opening for a customer advocate. To be able to educate the uneducated amongst the Carvana team! But just to prove a point I got my car and still got screwed! read more

Yes I could have waited and driven the car up to 6 more days but what sense does that make. The payout was fast because they will immediately turn-key the vehicle. This us my second car and it is by far the easiest experience, gave me the best offer for my car (better than Auto Nation and CarMax). Just two pet peeves... on their app it makes it hard for you to add or double up on payments and their interest rate is set and I could have gotten a better interest rate elsewhere, but chose not to for convenience. They should offer interest rates lower if you have better credit ... or offer a scale based upon your credit rating. I would suggest delivery - just a bit easier process. I chose pick up this time, the gentleman that helped me was amazing but the location was busy, chaotic and nobody at the front desk to monitor the traffic. read more

not the best experience ever. car purchase and trade. trade was fine but purchase got screwed up with my down payment not being applied so my payment is now higher than expected with my down paynt getting refunded to me. why would I make a down payment if I didn't want it applied to the new loan? makes absolutely no sense wit how they screwed this up. then I spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved to no avail. I was told only option would be to return the car and start over! really? makes no sense at all. now I am stuck with having to refinance the car to apply my down payment and get my monthly payment down to what I wanted in the first place. yeah you all really missed the mark on this one and left me hanging. read more

Carvana support has been solid. buying my car not so much. The first car smelled so strong of cigarettes it burned my nose and had major mechanical issues. The return was so easy so maybe a one off. The replacement car I love it but 12 hours later check engine light is on. They repaired it under warranty but now 2 more days pass and it's back on. Its super frustrating but I am hopeful they will fully repair it this time Revised my review unfortunately not for the better. I've now had the car for 2 weeks. The car is back in the shop for the 3rd time and this time it's a blown head gasket. My car is in the shop more than at home and they don't give you a rental but rather reimburse after you pay Never buying from them again and would never recommend them read more
