Fabulous spot in my ancestral hometown that adds charm to downtown. Gracious staff let my cousin reserve part of the dining area and stay an extra hour to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday. Absolutely wonderful coffee shop!! The place was bustling with biz and had such a warm, inviting and super cute aesthetic. Truly wonderful place, lovely and cute, quaint and warm. Small town charm, good croissant, great cake, the wrap sandwiches are okay, the salads are better. The other day I came in to get some food and coffee, i ordered the girl who took my order was very helpful and respectful. I sat down got my food and i took a couple bites then started analyzing it I found a medium length piece of hair in my food totally ruined my appetite. told the girl who took my order she was so sweet and apologized but the girl named Shelby was NOT.. She was insanely rude said I couldn't get a refund, mind you there are others eating and all I can hear is Shelby and a few others being insanely rude behind the counter it was very obnoxious I ended up PAYING for something else because i had hair in my food. super bad service. shelby was being rude the young lady who took my order.. Driving through Olney, IL and decided to try Ophelia's Cup based on previous yelp reviews. Wonderful, friendly staff and good food. Definitely a local establishment and a fun environment (thought the quotes written in crayon in the restroom were extra fun). If I lived anywhere near Olney, I would most certainly be a regular! Met some locals at Ophelia's who suggested where we might see the white squirrels that Olney is famous for and I must say that their suggestions were right on target! We are weary travelers who found a gem in Olney thanks to our fellow Yelpers. This place is warm and interesting and friendly with a menu full of old favorites and new twists. What a treat! All of the tables are different dining room sets and the plates are each unique too. Ooh yum! Say the teens! The Beautiful Bread is fun and tasty. Out of the Bleu Melt rocks. Kind of expensive but is pretty tasty. I always get the California Pita and a Chai Tea latte, and it is pretty yummy, the Chai tea and service is always really good. They also have cakes and desserts, their chocolate croissants are very tasty. read more

My husband and I had breakfast mid morning on a weekday as were traveling through Olney. It was a great experience. Lots of customers filled the cute quaint interior as the staff hurriedly worked making flavored coffees and special order beverages. My husband and I both ordered a scrambler, his had feta cheese and mine had blue cheese. Each were served with toast. Both were delicious! I also ordered a lemon cranberry muffin which literally melted in your mouth. If I lived in the area I would become a regular customer. Definitely will stop again. read more

A fun, urban, hip coffee cafe/deli just south of the square. Very quaint place that could be found in an eclectic neighborhood of Chicago or New York. How in the world have I missed this place? It's awesome! In Olney with the little boy and trying to decide where to go for lunch. Hovey's is usually the go-to because it's been here forever and a day, but when it's this hot, hamburgers just don't even sound good. I remembered that this little coffee shop in Whittle Avenue served food so I thought we would give it a try. Boy am I glad we did! The interior is friendly and eclectic and welcoming, much like its staff. They have a huge menu of sandwiches and wraps and soups and salads that are very creative and made it difficult to decide! They also serve any of a huge selection of coffee and tea drinks in addition to smoothies of any sort. I had their chicken salad on a croissant with fresh fruit and was very pleased. Sorry that I didn't take a picture--it was too yummy looking to wait! The chicken salad was awesome and the croissant was toasty and warm and super flaky. The orange slices and grapes made it a perfect lunch. I paired it with their 'Ophelia blend' iced tea, a wonderful black currant flavored black tea (and to the troll who is sending private messages about my Starbucks review? THIS is how you are supposed to make iced tea!). The kiddo had a grilled cheese and chips and a chocolate smoothie and he gave it a hearty thumbs up. Each plate is different, as is each cloth napkin. It reminds you of all the cool stuff you would find in grandma's cupboard when you were a kid. That's an automatic happy. :) Here's another little O cup side note: apparently they serve breakfast, too! We will totally be back to try that. Yay for the proprietors of this adorable spot. I love this place! It's not usual for Olney to have these types of places. I have relatives there so it's nice to get away and have some geek or yuppie time. The coffee is great! The many deserts compliment their coffee and espresso menu. There is much more room in this restored and historic building than in any Starbucks. Free Wifi makes this a gem in Olney. read more

We stopped here after a long, hot day at a swim meet. It was such a cute, eclectic place but there was no greeting or welcome of any kind. We walked to the counter and cheerfully let it be known that we had never been there before and were given menus. The sign said "order here" so I figured we were in the right place but was quickly told "you can take the menus to the table". Ok. We found a table. So then to place our order we had to go back up to the counter? Ok. So we do that. My daughter is a vegetarian and I asked if there were any veg wraps and I was looked at like I was 10 kinds of crazy and the server pointed to a veggie salad on the menu. I said asked about wraps again and she said "no". My daughter then ordered a chicken avocado type wrap and asked for no chicken. I ordered the duo of 1/2 salad and mini melt. Once our food arrived, I realized why our bill was so high. I was brought a full salad and full sandwich. Ok. That's fine. No biggie, I can take home leftovers. My daughter bit into her wrap and it was nothing but sprouts and red onion. no avocado, which was the only reason she ordered that particular wrap. I took it back to the counter and told the same gal that took our order and there was no apology, nothing. She took the wrap and when it was finished brought it to us. Again, no apology. There were no follow up visits to the table asking how everything was going. Nada. On a good note, the salad was amazing. I was disappointed with everything else. Customer service is HUGE in my book and I could imagine it would be hard for a business owner to thrive if it is lacking. read more

If your looking for a great place to eat lunch or breakfast then Ophelia's Cup is the place to stop! I don't think I have ever had a bowl of soup here that I didn't like. Their salads are always very fresh and large portions! Plenty of desserts to choose from. I am not a coffee drinker but I do like their pink flamingo chi! I stopped in there a couple weeks ago for breakfast and it was great too! The staff is always friendly and checking on you too see if you need anything.
