O O O IT'S OPO COFFEE | I've been to Opo Coffee a couple times since they've opened in 2023 and have been pleased by their coffee quality. My first visit it was super busy in spring 2023, and we were forced to sit outside since the Instaworthy cafe was full. It was a bit windy and uncomfortable on the uncovered patio but I do appreciate the availability of outdoor seating. I tried the King Cobra (iced only) and it was a lightly sweetened iced oat milk latte with a hint of cherry and brown sugar. Super tasty, especially if you're not a fan of black coffee or the typical iced latte. I also recently learned that if you buy a bag of beans, you get a free cup of drip coffee or Nitro iced coffee. So it was a no brainer to pick up a nitro for later! I already needed more beans for the machine at home, so the free cup was only an extra incentive. I loved the Upside Blend - perfect for the daily morning espresso. My only complaint is that Opo isn't closer to me in Dunwoody - but definitely worth the drive to Decatur on the weekends! read more

Made a yelp just for this because I'm so disappointed after hearing so many good things. Baristas did not acknowledge us when we arrived, they were loudly having their own conversation. We ordered both of the specialty coffees and they did not taste good at all. Patio is spacious but you get sudden whiffs of dog pee and poop due to it being right next to a dog boarding place. I'm a coffee lover and I wanted to try new coffee spots around Atlanta area. Opo coffee is such a beautiful coffee spot with plenty of parking around it! The workers here are so nice and there were a lot of customers here studying and reading which I thought was so cute. I loved everything, the presentations! I got a latte and a pourover, forgot the name but I think it had the word lily on it. The notes of the coffee compelled me to get the pourover rather than a regular drip which is what I intended to order. But when I drank the pourover, it was a little burnt for me so it was a bit harder to taste the coffee notes :( I was looking forward to trying. It was a very cold night and my husband and I just had dinner next door so this coffee shop caught our attention. They are open until 8pm and have tons of seating inside and even a beautiful patio area as well. The service was 10/10 and the barista serving us was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. The drinks came out quickly and there is an area for you to sweeten your coffee or get a lid. My drink was absolutely delicious. I got an ube fog which was warm and perfect for the weather. 5/5 Twice in one day?! WHOA Stopped by earlier this morning for a nice little pick me up. I ordered a large vanilla (+$1) oatmilk (+$1) latte with an extra shot of espresso (+1). They were really nice and fast with getting my drink out to me. They also have some pastries for purchase at the register too. My drink was VERY good on its own, but I did add a little extra simple syrup that they had out at one station and that took it over the top. I loved it so much I went back during lunch for a decaf version, which was still just as good! Parking and Ambiance: there's really only street parking available. But from what I see it's free so that's a perk. Seems like a great place for people who WFH to come, just keep in mind there seems to be some construction going on beside them. I wish I could say I had a good experience at this coffee shop, but it was just meh. Came here on Saturday late afternoon - it was packed, so very little seating but surprisingly still very quiet. My friends and I came in the hopes of escaping the cold and just chatting but it felt too quiet. We were greeted by a friendly young guy, but the person who served us - her attitude seemed to shift based on the customers she was serving. And she didn't seem to like giving me my coffee. When I said thank you, she didn't even acknowledge. I will give this place one more chance in the future and in the hopes that it's better. When it comes to presentarion Opo does a great job. When I came I was greeted by one of the three people behind the counter. The inside is aesthetic enough for your photos. Bright colors throughout. When it comes to coffee they didn't seem to have much to offer. Though they roast their own coffee it was very one note. No light roasts only medium/ dark coffee. This beautiful new coffee shop is located in the heart of Decatur right across front the famous Kimball House. Street parking is available, but you cannot park behind the BBQ Cafe. OPO has been operating under a soft opening status for about a week now with a limited menu. The grand opening is scheduled for January 13-14. They also have a fully equipped training center where they will offer general coffee education and certified courses. I purchased a large caramel latte with oat milk and was not disappointed. Coffee is the best I've had in a minute and they roast in house. Super cute, amazing aesthetics, plenty of room, and a good study place if you only need 15 minutes or two hours. Parking is not impossible it's just difficult and finding a spot without signage is a risk hence why it's really only ok to be there for 15 minutes or two hours--that's the max parking available. LOVE THIS PLACE! ***LOCATION*** So the one downside is that parking is not evident here. There is some street parking but the time is limited and I think it was paid. First trip was quick so we pulled in a spot and just ran in for coffee. The second trip, I was looking to stay. There are a few lots around but they are labeled for the other businesses. Either way we couldn't really find a spot so ended up parking pretty far away and walking. I don't think they had all day spots for their biz but couldn't really tell since the other businesses next to them had their lots behind the business. It was a little hard to navigate the one way streets and circle around. So just be aware parking might be a little complicated. ***STAFF*** All super friendly and helpful! I always hate having to ask for the wifi password, Idk why I feel shy about that, but they were so nice! I am sorry I forgot what it was. I think they don't have a sign, so you may have to ask. It was something simple like opocoffee but I can't remember exactly. It worked well though and had no issue connecting! ***EXPERIENCE*** Really nice. I love all of the seating! It was crowded so I didn't get a spot by an outlet at first. The only thing that would be better is if they had outlets at the counter/ bar seating as well. Other than that, there seemed to be plenty by the other seats! I LOVE the outdoor patio space out back.
