My favorite matcha latte in Atlanta. I've tried a couple different matchas that they've offered. It's always whisked fresh and I love how strongly the flavor comes through. They're obviously great at sourcing because the lattes offer a nice matcha "bite," without going too savory. I find my drinks to be the right balance of punchy and smooth.
Coffee was superb! Both drinks came out within 3 minutes even though the cafe was full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is very calming and thought out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only negative is that it is so popular there was no where to sit inside, but that speaks to how good it is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Postern Coffee is such a solid local spot. On weekends it can get a little busy but the service is always quick, friendly and helpful without feeling rushed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is clean with both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's an easy place to hang out or grab something to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I usually order the matcha latte and it never disappoints. It's earthy but not overpowering. I like to add strawberry or the Oh Snap seasonal flavor. The ginger is mild but makes it really unique. I love that the matcha is made to order instead of being poured from a premade batch like other coffee shops. Definitely one of my go-to coffee shops.
I am writing this review geared towards those who are looking for good coffee and a place to work/study. Coffee/Drinks: Coffee is of amazing quality. Them barista know how to care and tender their coffee. I had the coconut ube latte and I was blown away. Such a unique taste that goes so well. The subtle sweet purple ube with a strong bitter coffee. I find myself satisfied and happy every time. I also had the Seoul Chai Latte and that was simple and clean as expected. Study place: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly one of the favorites and frequent places. I love how it is very dark academia type vibes or even industrial aesthetic honestly. Simple natural colors with lots of natural lighting coming in from the big vast windows in the front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]the back is where the booths are with no lighting for those who prefer a more enclose feeling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In terms of outlets, they are pretty scarce and mostly in the back with the booths (about three outlets with 6 plugs total I believe). Please come with your devices charged.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres also bar stools by the bar counter if you prefer that method of studying. There is also a couch in the front with two smaller coffee tables. There are also outdoor seating with umbrellas for the sun. There's also a wooden chairs circling a campfire as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoy the atmosphere and find myself very productive here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This type of place does operate from 7am-4pm. I wish they could open till late for a night owl like me, but it's ok. I shall accommodate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The people here are amazing and kind. Always thanking me and really helps create a friendly atmosphere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms here are also very clean and elegant to say the least.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I look forward to making this place my frequent stop.
Good food, solid coffee, excellent service. Came on a Saturday afternoon. I had previously visited for a food pop up but this time needed a place to work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was plenty of space, comfortable seats and available outlets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I order a drip coffee but there were plenty of espresso drinks. The staff were friendly and checked on me for refills throughout my visit. I ordered food a little later. I noticed that some of the items were similar to the pop up I tried before. The bulgogi hoagie was good. I thought the meat was both a little sweet and salty but fine once soaked into the bread. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would go again.
4th or 5th time here and they've just added a lunch menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Go to spot for working at a cafe with friends, there are 2 tables that comfortably sit 6.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not too loud inside but they also have outdoor seating where you can take meetings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks are good, they use a2 milk so no worries if you're lactose intolerant. the high five is nice; tastes almost a little savory, post fashioned is nice with a bit of perilla oil, and matcha ube latte is a classic. Food wise, the chicken sandwich was very crispy but a bit dry (uses chicken breast) and bulgogi hoagie was very creamy and good, tasted a bit like the Korean cheesesteak from Fred's meat and bread. Will be coming back!
My second time here and the first time I had the matcha latte alone. I love supporting small businesses and truly did not hate or love the first one. Second time around I ended up trying their Samidori matcha with their seasonal Sakura strawberry foam with whole milk. Honestly I was dissatisfied, not only was it too milky which the foam then added on to. I barely tasted the matcha. They have two types of matcha but honestly after giving it a second chance I would stand firm on passing on the matcha here. I didn't even finish it bc I felt like I was drinking a cup of milk which I rarely do. Again their coffee might be good but it is not my preferred caffeine, hence will be a pass for me. One of the most unique latte flavors I've had (the Hi-Five), and you could actually taste the clove and anise very well which I enjoyed! It wasn't overwhelming and well balanced with the coffee. My boyfriend got the Coconut Ube, which after tasting, I realized I wish I had gotten that because it was more my style... however the Hi-Five was still very very good! Overall, you can tell the coffee is good quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area was kept very clean and had a lat of natural light which I love.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms were well maintained too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outlets near the booths in the back, but I'm sure those seats get grabbed first so come with a full charge on your devices if you don't come earlier in the day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I just wish this was closer... but maybe it's a good thing it isn't because I'd be coming all the time and I'd drain my bank account by constantly buying the Coconut Ube Latte.

My new fav coffee in Atlanta!!! Postern is in Minhwa Spirits in the mornings and afternoons and has super unique and delicious drinks and pastries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a bit busy so it might be hard to find seating indoors, but there's plenty of tables outside on their patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is super friendly and gives really good advice on drinks, but I keep going back to their ube lattes lol. I love how creamy they are and the caffeine provides the perfect kick. The restaurant in Minhwa switches often, so the food is hit or miss, but the coffee from Postern is always the best!

Turns out they do serve drinks at night. And it looks like word of mouth has grown and months later still popular. I had the Ceremonial Tsuyuhikari Mie Matcha Latte. The first one on the list, 7.50, very tasty and not over sweet. Delicious. I would still pay more for a large. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute spot to grab a quick bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menus had season items as well as make your own beverages. I think food was available I saw someone order a sandwich but I didn't see it in the menu so with missed it or there was another. I was greeted and allowed to take a moment to look over them menu. I got one of their seasonal items . It was a lemonade espresso or something of that nature. I unfortunately don't remember the name but it tasted exactly how it was described. Also got an earl Gray cookie, which was more like a biscuit, it's a nice eyes and a hot a very pleasant taste. They have a section for water so you don't have to go to them and ask for it. It's just readily available. . Love the set up and how they play their items. It's very homey yet Café vibes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Exaggerated nicely in the bathroom really nice as well. Pros: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance and the donut.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cons: Chai Latte. No flavor. I got the hi-fi syrup (brown sugar, clove, and anise), which gave it any sense of flavor. Otherwise it tasks like an iced glass of oat milk. They also some how forgot my single drink order with it not being busy. These 2 items were also $15, which I do NOT understand. At the end of the subdivision/lot. Harder to find because the name Minhwa Spirits is over the actual location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was great. Friendly staff and very clean aesthetic/ seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am not a matcha drinker but wanted to try this place out because of the ratings/reviews. It's a no for me but I can tell everything was fresh and made with care. We also tried an avocado toast. This was the highlight of our visit. However the veggie/garnish topping made the toast soggy but I ate the egg with the fresh avocado. read more

This was my second time there. This time i ordered a matcha and scone and sat outside with my dog. I got the matcha( the lower priced one that i can't remember the name of) with the strawberry sakura syrup. Delicious they use really great quality matcha The barista working that day was super informative when i asked her which matcha to use She said the lower priced one is best with syrups/flavors The higher priced one is best one its own so you can really taste the matcha The chocolate chip scone was really good. I wish i would've gotten the early grey cookie Either way, try it out! read more
WOW. This has made the list of coffee shops in Atlanta that I WILL come back to. NEED to, really. And I'll have you know, I frequent Atlanta quite often since I have family here so I've been to more coffee shops in the area than most, and very few have left me desiring to come back. But Postern did that. Heck, I even bought a shirt to remember them by! As soon as I saw they had an ube latte on the menu, I knew I wanted to try it out. It's a coconut ube latte, and it was as delicious as it was beautiful. Sweet but not too much so you still appreciate the coffee and just wow. They had a "Korean Palmer" that was super refreshing and nice if you don't want coffee. The chocolate sea salt cookie we tried was really good- deep chocolate flavor but not overly sugary. Everything was great. I honestly wished I would've ordered another ube latte or they had a mega size, LOL. The whole vibe here too was just so on point. The workers behind the bar were so kind and friendly and I really enjoyed talking to them. The artwork and decor was modern but paid homage to Asian roots and it really felt so cozy and like a nice place to hang out. Highly, highly recommend! read more
OMG today I had the most delicious coffee beverage - I couldn't stop ooo'ing and ahhh'ing after my first few sips. 3 words - Coconut Ube Latte. I got the iced version - $7.50 for 16oz. drink. Espresso, oat milk, and coconut ube syrup. Their drinks are made to order, and I could see the guy making my drink like it was art - that was food made w/ love - thank you! I purposely haven't drank all of it so I can savor it over time - well also maybe in part b/c I have a caffeine sensitivity too, lol. Postern Coffee has a great menu selection - not just pour overs but also intriguing coffee/tea beverages w/ an Asian twist like their Korean Palmer w/ lemonade and lavender infused barley tea, their Seoul Chai w/ misugaru cold foam, their Edward E(l)ric w/ gochujang syrup, and more! And seriously, you can see the guys taking great care making your drinks! As mentioned in my Ganji review too, I love that Minhwa Spirits hosts their space for other local Asian businesses like Postern Coffee, Ganji, and pop-up's - you also need to check out the beautiful Korean mural on the side of the building! Super friendly staff, aesthetic atmosphere, and great drinks. Love the Asian spin on some of their drinks, really makes for a unique menu. Drinks are also not too sweet. I've enjoyed everything I've gotten while some friends didn't enjoy theirs as much, but it's been a 5 for me each time! I've tried their matcha latte with strawberry sakura foam and another with their banana milk/cream. read more

Postern Coffee is located inside Minhwa Spirits. It's a cool concept place in my opinion. I always get the matcha there because of its quality. There's a seasonal strawberry Sakura foam I tried out and it's pretty tasty. I would love to come back to try the food items, but it's just a little out of the way for me. This place is snazzy. Think artfully crafted, artisan beverages that look and taste IG worthy. Weekend brunch here gets a serious upgrade. Things you should know: I. PARKING Postern Coffee is within Minhwa Spirits and shares a public parking lot with the adjacent businesses. It's easy to find an available space! II. SERVICE Your meticulously crafted latte isn't going to be slopped into a paper cup here. Oh no, honey. We're talking glassware. Something so (oddly) rare. You'll notice a self-serve water station as well. Ordering is a breeze - just sashay up to the register, drop your desires, and they'll holler your name when your masterpiece is ready. Simple and chic. III. QUALITY This place delivers top-notch taste that lives up to the gorgeous presentation. IV. CAPACITY Weekends are happening at Postern ~ Business is booming, and for good reason. So, if you're heading there on a Saturday or Sunday, be prepared for a bit of a crowd. I'd show them more local support on a weekday or if you're trying to knock out work, go Monday-Thursday when it's less crowded. read more

I was looking for a niche cafe near me in Doraville. While searching, I saw that they had a vanilla pandan latte and was immediately intrigued. It's in a small Asian plaza on a hill. This place would be better for a meetup with friends. I love their drink menu. They have good flavors and seasonal specialities. I was going to get a pandan flavored latte (flavor shots are listed on the menu for $0.75), but then I saw the Seoul chai on their seasonal menu and knew I had to try it. I haven't had a chai with cold foam in a while. It came out to about $7 for a hot 16oz speciality chai. It had pretty presentation with the cinnamon sprinkled on the cold foam. My chai was warming and delicious. It was a powdery after I drank half of it. There's a couch area at the front, regular tables by the window, counter seating, and booth seating at the back. Outlets can be found at the booths in the back and at the couch. The cafe is decorated in a modern chic way, and the bathroom is clean and stocked. There's plenty of free parking in the plaza. read more

All ube lovers NEED to give this coffee shop a try! This hidden gem is in Doraville and shares a space with Minhwa Spirits. The interior has a modern design touched with various shades of green that gives it a more welcoming & relaxing atmosphere. There's also a variety of seating to choose from - indoors and outdoors! This coffee shop is a great place to do busy work or to catch up with friends. I tried their Coconut Ube Latte - which is made with oat milk - and it was deliciously perfect. The flavors they chose to combine blended so well together, and the presentation was made with care. I also wanted to try their matcha since I've only heard great reviews, but they were sold out! I will be back to give their matcha a try! Lastly, service was phenomenal. Greeted with warm, smiling faces and available to answer any questions. read more
So excited that I got to try Postern! This place is not too far off from buford highway and is a great spot for coffee/tea. This place is spacious, modern, clean, and has unique offerings - such as the Korean Palmer that I got! I'm not big on coffee so it was great that they had non-coffee options. This drink was refreshing and I loved that you could taste the barley tea. Service was friendly, prompt, and helpful with all the questions that I asked! There's plenty of parking and there's options to sit inside or outside. Would definitely recommend checking this place out! Note that you won't be able to see Postern from the street, as they share a space with Minhwa Spirits. Just trust your GPS or look for Minhwa Spirit signage. read more

Super cute aesthetic spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, or to get some work done! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and all the flavors of the drinks are unique and rich. Great NEW coffee shop in doraville!! Very homey interior with nice seating outside! Come warm your mouth and soul as the weather gets colder. I love the wood with green accent color aesthetics. Great location next to the lumen apartments and close to the highway! (But without the noise) I tried the Johan Vergara pour over (a bit fruity and aromatics!) Good seating area in the back (with outlets!) to do work, contemplate life, study, or just hang! Service was friendly, personable, and deliberate. Will be back again!! read more
I stumbled upon the soft opening of this new coffee shop and was impressed by its offerings. The highlights for me were the flavors inspired by the Asian diaspora as envisioned by the passionate staff. I tried the hi-five cafe latte, which blends brown sugar syrup, clove, and star anise--a creative twist on five-spice powder that was both familiar and complementary to espresso. The microfoam had the right texture and consistency--kudos to the barista on the KVDW Slim Jim! The ambiance is well-suited for spending time with friends or getting work done. Parking is easy. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu and taking one of their signature roasts home. read more
Love this Asian fusion unique coffee shop with great vibes. I tried the Bogard as a latte and it was great. Definitely had to stir it and it was a little sweeter than I wanted, but great otherwise. The seats are super comfortable and there's lots of seating outside. I want to come back and try the food and other drinks. Not much else in the area. read more
Ordered an ice matcha latter with strawberry foam on top. It was good but a little pricy. I payed close to $10 for the drink. I also got the matcha cookie and a yuzu blueberry muffin. I enjoyed both pastries. The service was very good. The ambiance is quiet and they have lots of tables with outlets, good for getting work done. read more
Went on Sunday and was able to park in front of the apartments. The space is nicely decorated with lots of seating inside and outside (with heat lamps). This would be a great place to hang out with friends, study, or work remotely from. I was excited to try the signature drinks but both unfortunately did not live up to the expectation. The Korean Palmer tasted like lemonade but couldn't taste the lavender and vanilla infused barley tea. The Coconut Ube Latte had an interesting mix of flavors. There was a slight Ube aftertaste but the drink overall tasted bitter. read more
Free parking ! And lots of parking available. The coffee shop has super cute and comfy inside and outside seating. There's lots of seating outside and inside but def a cute quiet place to have coffee, read or work. I only tried the muffin and chocolate chip cookie and both were soo good! The customer service is great as well! The young lady in the front was very friendly and polite! I will definitely be back to visit! read more
Amazing coffee at Postern today, part of the shared space business at Minhwa Spirits. The coffee menu is amazing, and they're happy to adapt ingredients. My friend had a "Dirty Matcha" with espresso added to her Matcha Chai. The Coconut Ube Latte was fantastic. Enjoy the outdoor space - kid and dog friendly! Order from the Ganji dining menu while you're there. Super friendly staff and an amazing space. read more
