We packed up a picnic dinner and hit the park after we stocked up on some of our favorites. It feels like it stretches for at least a mile, and has a great variety of products. I was delighted to find many Asian stalls, one which offered basque cheesecake. The vendors were friendly and encouraged people to try a sample of their wares. The atmosphere was lively and extremely inviting. Not to mention the market is located along small businesses.

I got there around 1:15 and they were packing up. I'm thinking they were packing up early bc of the rain coming which it did come before 2pm. The area is cute with the square of shops around and a coffee shop across the street. That's actually how I recognized that I'd been to this farmer's market years ago. They had different vendors including food trucks, candles, knick knacks, costume jewelry, art, etc. i didn't end up there very long since they were packing up. Check it out on a nicer day. I think that I'm good with visiting it, but my first impression was that it was a nice set up and there are trees for shade and free parking around. Of course dog friendly too.

There is/was one (1) booth selling fresh produce, having the monopoly (good for them I suppose) which is what a "farmer's market" is supposed to be about. All the other side items such as house plants, jewelry, baked goods, soaps, art work, etc are flea market type things; unless there are multiple produce selling vendors then I might give those others a pass for being part of a farmer's market. There is a vendor selling pickled produce, so I should give them a pass I suppose. I will admit that along with some fresh produce and pickled products I did buy some bread goods, a couple of jarred spice rubs and a snack. Yet that still does not take away from the fact this really is not, in my mind, a true farmer's market. Those we interacted with were amicable and no hard sales pitches were encountered. However, with the lack of produce stands and the small size of the venue I have to give this a 2 star (could've been better) rating as a farmer's market. Will I return? Probably, but I won't go out of my way unless I desire a certain product I can't find closer to home (such as the bread items, which were delicious.

The storefront is right next door to Frescos, because they are owned by the same people. I remember talking to one of the Frescos owners last summer when they were first embarking on opening this market, and she told me how there would be a "make your own charcuterie board" option so I was already all in. Fast forward to visiting while they're having their soft opening and it's such a cool space. As promised, there are charcuterie pickings and a few other vendors in here. I believe some of them used to set up at the Lakeland Farmers Market and have now been given a permanent home here which is absolutely amazing. We tried some handmade chocolates that were fabulous! You can get so many goodies here beyond that, though- cocktail materials, fresh cut meats, coffee, like 7 different flavors of butter, fresh baked goods and much more. They have a lot of cute Lakeland merch and there's even a flower vendor you can order customized bouquets from. It's a beautiful setup and concept. There is a bit of seating but definitely somewhere to check out when walking around downtown LKLD. I'm excited to watch this place continue to grow and thrive! Parking was easy, free, and conveniently located to all the festivities which is a huge plus. This is also one of the few local markets where I've actually seen a large selection of fresh produce and and farm goods available. It was refreshing to see so many people bring their market bags on wheels, wagons, etc. ready to purchase fresh fruits & veggies and support our local farmers. Beautiful watermelons, tomatoes, papaya, lettuces, corn, peppers, zucchini, and more. There's a good mix of vendors ranging from jewelry and handcrafted goods to food trucks and specialty food items. We got mango coladas, mango flower with tajin, breakfast tacos, and of course, kettle corn. Huge plus that there is the downtown splash pad for all the kids to play right in the middle of all the action. It was a HOT one and this was a great way for my little guy to cool off and burn some energy while we sat and enjoyed our food. If you have kids, I highly suggest they wear their swimsuits and bring some towels to dry off.

A great place for a Sunday morning stroll to pick up some local produce and things for the week to come Super casual parking can be tough at times, but if you go early enough, you can get in and out before it gets too crowded. I would say out of all the farmers markets I have been to this one seems to get the most crowded around 10 AM.
