They fit me with trial contacts on the spot, did a quick exam to make sure everything was okay, and got me back to seeing clearly without any hassle. I needed a last-minute eye exam before leaving the country for three weeks, and Oppenheimer Eye Clinic was able to find me a space in their extremely busy books, as a new patient no less. I had read a few reviews where customers had complained about the services so I was a bit wary. But there was absolutely zero need! Everyone from the moment I walked in, until the moment I walked out, was extremely friendly, efficient, and totally accommodating. Dr. Oppenheimer (the senior) was the best eye doctor I've ever been to in 4 decades. We had such a great conversation. (thank you!) And they adjusted my new contacts after a fitting to ensure I could see as clearly as possible. That was the first time any eye doctor or their associates had ever done that. You always wonder after the dozens of "Which is clearer? 1 or 2?" if you got it right because your eyes start tearing, and things that are really clear go blurry. LOL --- but checking after the contact fit, and figuring out I needed a slightly different strength was amazing! YES! I highly recommend Oppenheimer Eye Clinic! I'm a part time resident coming to KW on weekends and sometime through out the week. My doctors are in Ft. Myers. Anyways I wear contacts and woke up this morning with a red swollen left eye. Took my contact out and thought I should try to get into a doctor. I called around noon and they told me to come in at 2 pm. Waited too long (1 hour) for service after start of 2pm appt. there were two patients before me and a third and even a forth went in after I checked in but before I was called in. Typical medical office patient time mismanagement. They charge people who don't show up for appts. They were "short staffed" on the day of my appointment "my luck" so I sat in the waiting room for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Well, I left. AND SURE ENOUGH, they called me 2 minutes later saying my appointment was ready "my luck". I told her to forget about it, and reschedule me. The father/son wonder ophthalmology duo here can not be beat anywhere! Best contact lens exam anywhere and they go above and beyond with the services they provide. Due to the amount of tourists visiting the Keys, Oppenheimer carries one of the largest inventories of contact lenses I have ever seen right on location. They even can do customized prescription dive masks! Due to extenuating circumstances, I had to suddenly leave the Keys for a few weeks and they gave me a few pairs of contacts to hold me over until my return and the final tweaking of my prescription. Everyone working here is extremely helpful, professional, and beyond nice. This is truly a gem of a business to deal with and I personally can not recommend them enough. I bought four pair of glasses and I was having them shipped up to my house from Key West. I ordered them from Ashley. She was beyond amazing. One of my glasses got lost from ups and after hours she tracked the driver down for me and actually had the driver deliver them to my house personally in Tavineer on his own time. I have never seen service like that and I own a major company. She deserves a major raise thanks Ashley from Shawn you're awesome. Daren is about the nicest guy you can ever have as a eye doctor. Excellent comprehensive eye exam. Both doctors, father and son, are wonderful to work with as is their very efficient friendly staff. However the eyeglass side of the business is unfortunately terrible. The wait time in the office is well over an hour. Trying to even find someone to help you chose frames and explain lens options to you is close to impossible. The price is outrageous, $450 to put reading lens into my old frames! And we had to return twice because of errors on the bill which the office staff wasn't very pleasant about even tho it wasn't our fault. Go for the good exam and lovely doctors. Oppenheimer Eye Clinic was amazing last week. We traveled to Key West from Indiana and my husband had 3 eye ulcers that needed to be checked. When I called the office on Monday morning the team was very professional and helpful. They were able to see my husband that morning and upon meeting Dr. Daren Oppenheimer he was very caring, knowledgeable and helpful. To ensure the ulcers were healing, they setup a follow-up appointment on Wednesday early in the morning to not interrupt our vacation. On Wednesday, both Dr. Daren & Dr. Stephen checked his eyes. Since they were not completely healed, they setup a follow-up appointment for Friday morning. We appreciated all there assistance to ensure my husbands eye sight was cared for while we were on vacation. This is an amazing eye clinic!! read more

Single worst experience I have ever had with an optometrist. I wear glasses and contacts. Went in for new glasses. My current pair was scratch beyond belief. While I was there, I figured I would have the exam for contacts as well. Honestly felt as though they weren't hearing a word I was saying. And then pushed me out of the store. Never even offering me a chance to even look for frames and order glasses. 6 weeks and a temper tantrum later I finally got glasses. Now 4 months in. And still don't have a correct contact prescription. Done with this place. Now have to go somewhere else and pay for another contact lenses exam and start over. Never again read more
