I was extremely nervous because it was a pretty nasty cut, and I had never gotten staples before, so I didn't know what to expect. Jorge walked me through the whole process, reassured me that everything was going to be alright, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. He has a great attitude and genuinely makes you feel like he truly cares about his patients. The staff was also amazing and very professional. An actual joke. The Dr or PA that came in to evaluate me (short blonde woman) walked in with discharge instructions and already prescribed me 4 antibiotics without even looking at me. She listened to my lungs and left the room in under 30 seconds. Didn't ask if I had any more questions, didn't look in my ears or at my throat when I specifically told the nurse at intake (which was wonderful) that my throat was killing me. I was swabbed for covid and flu which both came back negative but how do you prescribe antibiotics and walk in with discharge papers without even examining the patient. Extremely concerning and disappointed in the type of health care they provided. read more

My family traveled from Chicago to Key West during Thanksgiving week. Our 18 month old came down with a wicked virus our first night in, very high fever and we did our to kept her comfortable through the night until morning to get to urgent care, then our 3 year old the same night was crying because his ears hurt. So all night we were googling urgent care centers. This facility was the only one open on a Sunday with the earliest hours. so my husband and i took our babes there and with registering them and walking in-no appointment was made. we were seen within under 10 minutes, mind you we got there when they opened and there were already 4 people ahead of us. They treated us with such loving care and were very understanding. They gave my daughter a medication right away to help her with her coughing/breathing and noticed pink eye was developing due to get congestion- they sent antibiotics right away to walgreens and prescribed antibiotics for my son for his ear infection. the nurse gave our children stickers and popsicles!! They were so quick, from the time we walked in and then out the door was probably 20 minutes. Dr. David Anthou was awesome and gave us some info where to go around the city if it is late and need a pharmacy, everything around duval-the pharmacies close early and closed on Sundays. We were so happy with them and raved about them. Thank you so much to everyone at Advanced Urgent Care. I went to Advanced Urgent Care with a post wisdom tooth extraction infection that spread to my upper chest region. My lymph nodes were so swollen that I could barely open my mouth enough for the doctor to stick the tongue depressor in. The team worked fluidly together to offer comfort while providing proper information and options as to how I wanted to deal with my current situation. Whelp...I took a BIG bite out of Key West & Key West took an even BIGGER bite out of me. Two days in to my three week October island adventure, I unwelcomely discovered I'm anaphylactic allergic to No-see-ums. Who knew? I was immediately rushed to the closest Urgent Care, where Kelly, so comfortingly checked me in & helped with paper work. Since...I had trouble breathing, was covered in burning red welts and had BP through the palm trees...Kelly promptly got me back to see Kristi...who gently administered an Epinephrine injection & kindly waited with me until Dr. Wagner arrived. We chatted about my new found allergy and how to treat this nuisance moving forward...especially living in coastal SWFL...where these buggers love to nibble. He held my hand, prescribed me some Medrol & OTC Benadryl and assured me I'd be feeling better in no time. The doctor's and nurses here are awesome, however the two ladies that work in the front at reception are terrible and barely speak English. They sent my prescription to the wrong location and when the doctor told them to write me a doctor's note, they did not understand the doctor and kept saying "huh?". Then when they finally google translated what the doctor said and gave me a doctor's note, they didn't even put on there what the doctor said. Get English speaking receptionists please. read more

I am in FL on vacation and was apprehensive about going to an urgent care facility, however my experience at Key West Advanced Urgent Care was quite positive. Dr John Sundin has a wonderful bedside manner and made me feel like I had been a patient of his for years. He was sensitive to the fact that I am a self pay here (as they don't accept HMOs) and we discussed what I needed to test for now vs waiting a week when I am back home with full insurance coverage. As it was Thanksgiving, the pharmacies are not open, so he provided me a day's worth of meds until I could get the prescription filled when the pharmacy is open. I arrived around 8:30, there were 4 people in the waiting room. Masks are not required at this time and most people were not wearing them. I was taken in for a sample about 15 minutes after arriving (the paperwork took about 5 minutes). 10 minutes or so after that a nurse took my vitals and confirmed my medical history. Then the doc came in after a short wait. All in all, it was just under an hour visit, $139 for the consultation and test. The front desk staff are no nonsense and efficient. The folks who took my test and vitals were super nice. I so appreciate the fact that they were working on Thanksgiving! Hopefully you won't need urgent care, but if you do, I highly recommend Advanced Urgent Care. read more

The clinic was busy but I did not feel overlooked for a single moment. The price of the procedures was very reasonable compared to a hospital. The equipment they use is much more modern than the large hospital radiology department I went to in Seattle. I will give this radiology department my 100% endorsement. I am so very thankful for the staff at advanced urgent care. My 9 year old son got very sick while being on vacation. He had a deep cough and was having a hard time breathing. The staff cared for him immediately and got is oxygen level back up to normal. I'm so thankful for the care he received. The nurses and Dr working were so helpful and answered all of my questions. The Dr also prescribed everything my son would need for his breathing. One of the nurses gave me an oxygen monitor for peace of mind to keep an eye on my son.
