Why 5 stars? Because everything I could want for PT is found here…read more --- --- --- I visited Dr. Knezevich, who shares an office with Select PT, and he sort of indirectly referred me here. I've experienced other kinds of physical therapy in the past, but the treatment I've received here has definitely been a bit different - in a good way! I've been having pain in my lower back and hip for a while now and it had gotten worse over the last couple of months. It started creeping up my into my mid-back area and was getting quite annoying. I got hooked up with Cameron (one of the therapists) to explain all of my symptoms and he got right to work by performing some different tests. I'll be honest, at first, I was kind of skeptical that these tests were helpful, but that proved to me being impatient, more than anything else. I think I had this fantasy that I could just tell someone my symptoms, and 30 seconds later, they'd be fixing my problem. Obviously, it helps when your therapist has plenty of info about what's wrong with you :) Once Cameron did end up working on me, it turned out that he nearly did perform that fantasy miracle! That pain that had been creeping up into my mid-back was virtually eliminated after one visit! He was physically pushing near my spine to move the joint around, and apparently he moved it off of the nerve that was bothering me so much. I only wish I had visited here sooner! Unfortunately, my lower back problem was not solvable from one visit. That thing has been taking a pounding over the years from all the sitting at a desk that I've had to do. But the good thing is: my pain continues to lessen with each visit that I make to Select PT. They provide a very thorough list of at-home exercises to perform, which help me tremendously. And the best part is - these exercises and stretches have changed over time, as Cameron learns more about my issues. We keep doing what's working, but are also constantly trying new things. Speaking of Cameron, I have to give him a huge shoutout. He is not only very skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to fixing people's ailments, but his ability to multitask without getting flustered is unbelievable. There are times when he's going back and forth between 2-3 clients and he does an amazing job at making you feel like you are the only person in the room. He bounces back and forth effortlessly and never keeps you waiting. If I had to deal with multiple clients at the same time like that, I'd lose my mind. But Cameron is cool, calm and collected 100% of the time! I plan on continuing to visit Select PT until my issue is completely solved, but they are definitely making progress toward that! My insurance covers the majority of my bill, which is such a nice change from what I'm used to. And I've spent enough time in here lately that I felt it was an appropriate business for review #1900 :)

When I first went to OPPT, I could not play my instrument for 5 minutes without pain in my left arm and elbow. My therapist told me this would not be a quick fix, and she was right. However, several months later, I can now play for two hours a day or more without pain or discomfort, so I am more than satisfied with this outcome. I worked mostly with Emily and occasionally with Paul, but really, from what I could see, all the therapists there were experienced and competent.
