I started to receive texts from Kirsten. I talked with her via the phone. She was rude and…read moreimpersonable during the so-called interviewed. She was rude and read to me. Excuse me I am an adult. Nothing conversational about it. Nothing relational. She then sent me an email immediately after this unprofessional screen. What a surprise! She was nice. My resume would be forwarded and reviewed by Parker's client. That was fine. After stringing me along, she texted, left a voicemail and emailed me. I was at an appointment. I turn my phone off so I can listen to others without distraction during appointments, etc. I let her know to only call or email. Overkill. I returned her call. Quite demanding, entitled and self-serving. Jump ahead because I do not have time to write everything out. She lied to me twice. So, I decided to decline the Zoom interview with the client and I texted her since she appeared to like texting. I declined the interview and I blocked her. In a matter of seconds, she called me from another phone number and what overly nice - not authentic. Kirsten, who do you think you really are. She talked over me wanting to know why I declined and what company I planned to go to. She continued. I finally raised my voice and talked over her. I don't owe a liar anything. Why would I tell you what or where I am going? So, you can benefit from my work? I can help you. No way! An awful technique. She kept talking over me so I swore. I am not proud of it. Parker your need to build relationships, not steamroll people, who your representee reached out via text as a marketing tool. I asked Parker to remove me from your files previously when Kyle worked with you. It was disorganized. Remove me! I have contacted numerous HR professionals and let them know of my experience with Kirsten. Kirsten, you have received too many Participation Trophies. Get over yourself.

The actual people I have had the pleasure to engage with have always been lovely. But, my observation of their business model is that they are income-focused-first and relationship-focused somewhere much further down the line. Being more net-income-centric than human-centric resonates as more similar to "following" than "leading" in business, most certainly in the marketing world they represent, where consumers are critical and have endless options. Mine is, of course, just an anecdote, one experience. I have received dozens of invitations to apply for roles and I have responded to a select few, only those where the fit between my skillset and the work required was genuinely aligned. And, I've never received a response of any kind. There's a very modest time investment they make upfront, evaluating prospective employees', like myself, experience and expertise at the start of the relationship, then the 1:1 communication seems to end there. It's been disappointing. If I were ever asked "How can we improve?" I would offer that the opportunity for Creative Circle here, as I see it, is to reflect on your values as a company, take a look at the shifting marketplace, and create an authentically human-focused engagement environment where there's trust fostered, earned and realized between the employer, the prospective employee and the Creative Circle brand --- and the real-life humans behind that brand. I realize that's potentially a daunting task, perhaps one that eats into net income... but someone's out there trying to figure it out. Why not you? With all due respect, this has just been my experience. Perhaps others have enjoyed something more meaningful and valuable in their collab with Creative Circle. I've worked with a few recruiters and have had mixed experiences. I arrived at 24 Seven to have an in-person meeting about my skills. The fellow who interviewed me (Kamal) was a UX designer. He asked a lot of good questions about the specific types of work I wanted and made an effort to get to know my interests, ideal company culture, etc. Afterward, he gave me a full portfolio review with a lot of constructive, detailed criticism and then contrasted my portfolio with examples of leaders in the field. I've had interactions with other recruiters where they spent less than 5 minutes over the phone and then proceeded to send me all kinds of jobs that did not fit my skills or interests. It was not intentional... they just didn't know the field well enough to understand the terminology, distinctions, etc. One of the things I find interesting about 24 Seven is that they have "traditional" contracts (longer contracts in offices, etc.) but they also offer a lot of freelance job opportunities. If you enjoy freelancing but don't enjoy the bureaucratic side of things (or the joy of trying to get clients to pay), it seems like an interesting way to get diverse gigs and round out your portfolio. I had a good impression of my recruiter and the agency in general... it seems beneficial for both potential employees and for clients to spend more time getting to know people before trying to place them in a job. I've since recommended them to friends looking for similar work.

I was asked to contact them to explain the situation. I emailed and again was ignored. I followed up here and mysteriously my review has been removed. This is not a good resource for job hunting. I'm embarrassed to see that their marketing department replied instantly with an automated response. See below. That reply posted at the same time as this review. There probably never was an actual attempt to look into the problem at all.
