I just moved to Seattle 3 weeks ago after 9 months of unemployment in my previous state. I couldn't find work to save my life. I was not familiar with the Seattle job landscape so i embarked on working with recruiters. Apple One was one of the agencies i signed up with. Most of the agencies i spoke with didn't service executive talent so finding the right company and fit was a challenge. While Apple one dealt with mid-level management talent they took me on as a client. I went in and met with Ryan Gonce. He was cordial, pleasant and upfront in letting me know they may not have positions that fit my experience and previous pay. This was not a surprise. I had heard that from other agencies and knew I would have to embark on a grueling job hunt with added challenge of being new to the area with specific expertise. I left the office a bit disheartened but I got the sense that Ryan would work to find me something. What they did differently from other staffing agencies is take interest in who i was and asked me what was important in my search for my next role. Money is important but i had other pressing priorities. Ryan took that in to account and was not shy about reaching out to me to vet a potential position. Luckily, the 1st job he found was a fit. Maybe it was no luck but the fact that he listened to my needs. He was not focus on closing a sale as other recruiters who tried to push and opportunity. He was focused on my satisfaction. Right company, right fit. My interview process took about 2 weeks and through out the process, Ryan and Meagan Keller served as cheerleaders and boosted my confidence which was much appreciated coming out of a long stretch of unemployment. They were positive and shared in my excitement. They talked my through my insight and feelings before and after every interview. I am happy to say I got the job after 3 week in town and it is a blessing cause i feel the company and role is a great fit. My advice for anyone looking to work with Apple one: come prepared, complete all paperwork (online and physical) and assigned tests in a timely manner; know what you want in a company, job and career goals and definitely follow up with them often. They will work for you as hard as you work from yourself. If you make things easy from them, they can focus on what matters, finding you a job. The funny part about me using this service was that it happened on accident. I accidentally opted to send my application out to 52 jobs similar to one i applied for on CareerBuilder.com Best accident ever! I went in for an initial interview with Vivi Thatikunta because she made me feel so comfortable on the phone and I was blown away. The whole experience was stress free and wonderful. I went in to interview with Vivi for the employment service on Wednesday and to figure out what i wanted and what they had to offer, and the next morning she sent my resume to several places we talked about. She didn't try to push me into anything I didn't want, she looked for exactly what I wanted to be involved with. Thursday I was told someone already wanted to interview with me! Not only did she make sure that I had all of the information that I needed, she helped me spruce up my resume prior to the resume being sent out, helped me with tips on interview attire, and walked me through how the interview would go and what the employer was like so that I would be comfortable during the interview. I was so excited! So Friday morning (today) comes the day of the interview and it went so good! Vivi was there with me basically every step of the way for anything I needed and to help every chance she could, Marnie was super helpful too and I love how they worked so well with me even though I had a difficult schedule with extremely limited time frames. By the time the first interview was over I was notified that two more for the places we talked about wanted to interview and within an hour or so I had another interview, over the phone because I had to be at work. The first job they set me up to interview with was immediately what I wanted and the same day of the interview I got a call from Vivi saying that the employer wanted to offer me the job. I got the job I fell in love with because of them. I cannot ask for better help even if I tried. Ive been on the job hunt since I graduated with my AAS in December and have had no luck at all on my own. This is the first employment service I have ever used and I've already recommended it to a few people after everything that happened today. They promised to send coffee on my first day. I do not drink coffee, so we agreed that they would send coffee to my wife. It never arrived. We scheduled another day. It never arrived. 'We' are only as good as our word, and their word is useless. I also dealt with one of their employees who was 'militant'. I have to prove that I am a citizen, and correct that need to. I choose to use my passport. The law says that I can use my passport. This RUDE employee insisted that "it is company policy" ( in violation of Federal Law ) that I HAD TO produce some other forms ID. ( They are not allowed to ask for one form over another ) So, this company is ABOVE FEDERAL LAW? They also did EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to foil my employment opportunity . . . . ARRRRG ! They are SO CONFUSED as to what is TRUTH that they think I am a TEMP when I am a perm EMPLOYEE. I am PERM, I have already received my first paycheck ! WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS ! ! ! ! ! ! They performed a background check on me, and I am glad that they did. It took no less that 12 emails to get them to release those reports to me. ( I have still not receive them ) It is my right to see them, but time after time they responded with "here is the copy of your release" ( to collect this data ) RATHER THAN "This is the REPORT as a RESULT" of your release. HOW RUDE !!!!!!!!!!!! They appear to be purposely working to try to hide my background check from me. I am CLEAR. I know that I am CLEAR. There is no reason to expect that I will not be 'clear' but they will not release the data to me. DISHONEST ! ! ! ! ! They put my new appointment at risk because they started the process LATE. Julie has been nothing short of stellar in her assistance with finding me a position. She has always done her best help me find a job and her pride in her work shows. Keeping the lines of communication open is important to a job seeker and she has been on top of her game. Whenever I call her she answers or calls back immediately, the same goes with emails, and job updates. She kept me posted on what was going on and gave great detail on what the position entailed and how I should conduct myself during an interview. Brad was always polite and courteous while answering the phone. He would offer to take a message if Julie was not available at the moment instead of just throwing me to a voicemail like other staffing agencies. I recently moved from Texas to Washington about 7 months ago. I was working with a different temp agency back in August of 2016, I wasn't a big fan of them to be honest. It seemed like they weren't very interesting in finding me a full time job any time soon, I kept getting sent to assignments that were between 2 weeks to 2 months max. Plus it was very difficult to get a hold of my recruiter when I needed help with something. It's been the total opposite with Apple One, they have been nothing but helpful! My recruiter Courtney got me an awesome job with a great company right away. She always replies to my emails and she is always there when I need help with anything, I never feel rushed when I'm talking on the phone with her. While it might sound cynical, it's better to work for a staffing agency, than not working at all. AppleOne is by far the best employment agency I have worked with. They understand and are professional about putting people to work. The recruiters and staff treat you like your family.
